CHAPTER TEN

MILES

M iles didn’t think that seven o’clock would ever get there. He never thought that he would be as impatient as a Little, but here he was. He doesn’t regret it at all either.

He was excited to see his Little girl and have her to himself all weekend. While he doesn’t think that she would be anywhere close to Littlespace, Miles hopes that they could approach the conversation about it.

It was becoming increasingly harder to hold back with her, but he was once again trying to be patient. If there was an award for being the most patient man, Miles would be first place.

Doing one more final walk through the house to make sure everything was in order, Miles grabbed his keys and headed out the door. Finally, he gets to go get Liv.

Pulling around into the employee parking lot twenty minutes later, Miles couldn’t believe what he saw. The little minx decided to test the limits tonight and was waiting for him just outside the door .

Olivia was smart enough to stay within the light that was hanging above the door, but there was no protection for her should something have occurred.

This wasn’t how he thought the start of their weekend would go, but what better way to introduce her to him as a Daddy than right now.

“What exactly do you think you are doing, Little girl?”

Miles watched the look of surprise cross her face. Guess she didn’t think that he would cause a scene at her job, but she had another thing coming if she thought that he cared about where they were.

“Ummm…I’m waiting for you?”

“Is that a question or a statement?”

“Uh…a statement. Yeah, I was just waiting on you to get here. You said right at seven and I got off a few minutes early, so I figured I would wait outside for you.”

“What was the one direction I gave you about tonight Olivia?”

“I don’t remember. You gave me directions?”

“Mhm…I see. Maybe you want to think about my question while I drive us back to my place. Hopefully, the extra time will help jog your memory.”

Miles guided her towards his truck and helped her inside before buckling her in. He didn’t miss the small gasp of air she let out when his arm brushed across her chest.

Too bad they couldn’t go there tonight. Even if they were ready for that step in their relationship, naughty girls don’t get orgasms after making red choices.

The truck ride back to his place was quiet except for the hum of the radio playing in the background. The only indication that his Little girl was even still awake beside him was the occasional shift she would make in the seat.

“Oh, wow! ”

Miles glanced over at Liv as she looked in astonishment out the window. Turning he didn’t know what she found so fascinating.

“Your house is beautiful. This would be a dream come true for me.”

He never considered his house to be something others would dream about, but trying to look at it through the eyes of his Little Bunny, he could kind of see it.

A couple of years ago when Miles was in the market to buy a house, he stumbled upon this one and fell in love with it.

This house was built in nineteen thirty-two and had everything he wanted, even though it needed work at the time.

Sitting on eight acres of land, tucked onto the back corner on the property sat this old dusty house that had a good foundation and the bones were there.

Not one who’s afraid to get his hands dirty, Miles put an offer in and about two months later it was his.

Gutting the house, he took it back to its original structure and refurbished it to its former glory while still giving it the modern feel.

It took awhile for everything to happen, but once finished he was proud to call it home. Not only does it sit further back from the road, Miles also installed the newest state of the art security system on the market.

One can never be too cautious these days and he never wanted to risk the safety of the Little girl who would one day run the halls.

Add on the rambunctious dog that now roamed the property and no one would think twice about breaking their way in.

“Thank you, my girl. I’ll give you the grand tour when we go inside.”

Pulling into the garage, Miles parked the truck beside the ATV, and walked around to help Olivia out .

Before he could warn her of Diesel, there was a bark and scratching at the door leading into the house.

Catching her before she hit the ground, Miles wrapped Liv up in his arms.

“Shhh. It’s okay. I’m sorry he scared you, babygirl. I should have warned you sooner.”

“I’ve never really been around animals before, especially not dogs of that size who make those kinds of noises.”

“I promise that he’s more bark than bite. We can introduce y'all slowly, but I don’t think it will take very long for either of you to warm up to each other."

He settled her back on the ground in front of him and kissed her forehead before turning to lead them inside.

“Sitz!”

Diesel sat before them, wagging his tail. Guiding Olivia over, he held out her hand in his, allowing the dog to give her a sniff.

They waited as Diesel did his sniff test before leaning over and giving her hand the biggest lick possible.

The giggles that came from his Little girl warmed his heart. Miles had no doubt that these two would become as thick as thieves.

“I told you that he wouldn’t hurt you. Diesel would lay down his life to protect you.”

“I just met him, there’s no way that he would do that.”

“You are important to me and he can sense that. Trust me when I say that you are pack now and he would do whatever it took to protect his pack.”

Leading her past the mud room, they entered the kitchen and he heard another small gasp come from behind him.

“Oh my goodness! This kitchen is to die for! Oh how I would love to cook and bake here.”

“Do you like to do that? ”

“What?”

“Cook and bake?”

“Oh! Uh, yeah. I used to do a lot of that before I moved here. Not much reason to do it now.”

“Well, feel free to use my kitchen anytime when we are here and I can watch over you. Little girls shouldn’t be in the kitchen surrounded by sharp objects without supervision.”

He watched her roll her eyes at him before grinning. Miles decided to let that one slide since he could tell that she was laughing at his statement and wasn’t trying to be disrespectful.

“Deal! I can’t wait to start cooking again.”

Miles stepped in front of her. Moving slowly, giving her time to pull away, he pressed a kiss against her lips.

“I think I will like the look of you barefoot in my kitchen.”

He loved the blush that crept across her face. Miles proceeded to give her a tour around the house pointing out all the finer details that he took the time to do when refurbishing it to its former glory.

He loved listening to all the sounds she made as she took in every detail. Dropping her bag in the spare room beside his, Miles led her back towards the couch and settled in, pulling her onto his lap.

“Now, did you think about the question I asked you before we left the nursing home?”

Calming the twiddling of her thumbs, Miles waited to see how she would respond. He would love to see her push the boundaries and test his word.

“You told me to stay inside the building until you texted saying that you arrived. I finished early though and didn’t see a reason that I couldn’t go out and get some air while I waited.”

“Mhm, is that what you were told to do though?”

“No, Sir, it wasn’t. I should have stayed inside like you told me to. ”

“What if something had happened to you? There isn’t much security back there and no one would have heard you if you screamed.”

He watched her shoulder shrug. Miles needed her to understand that her safety was his top priority. He doesn’t give directions like that just because he wants to control her moves.

“I didn’t think about that part. I’m sorry.”

“I know you are baby, but what did I tell you would happen if you didn’t listen to what I said?”

“If I tested the limit, I would find out how serious you are on a health and safety issue.”

Miles knew that he needed to tread carefully here. They didn’t have a dynamic in place even though he knew without a doubt that she was his.

He also knew that if he didn’t keep his word, she would never trust him to follow through with the things that he said. That would also be a very dangerous thing if they had any hope at a healthy dynamic.

“We still need to have a long conversation about everything, but for now I am asking for your consent to give you the punishment that you earned.”

He watched her eyes widen and continued to explain what he had in mind, before she decided to run from him.

Miles knew that he was asking a lot of her especially without having the conversation they really needed to have before this.

“Before you start to panic and decide to act upon the thoughts I know are running through your head, let me explain what punishment I think would be good for you.”

She nodded her head and he took that as a sign that she was still willing to listen.

“How long were you standing outside before I pulled into the parking lot tonight? ”

“Ummmm…I think it was like seven minutes. I really hadn’t been out there long.”

“Okay, so I am thinking a seven minute timeout is in order. One minute for every minute you spent outside alone instead of being inside where it was safe. Do you think that is fair, Little Bunny?”

Once again, he watched her nod her head. That wasn’t going to work for him.

“Words, babygirl. I need you to talk to me.”

“Yes, Sir. I think that is fair.”

“Okay, so are you consenting to the timeout that you have earned? If this is something that you aren’t comfortable with at all, I won’t push, but I think we both know that this might be something you need and dare I say wanted.”

“Yes, Miles. I’m consenting to the timeout.”

Smiling at the braveness that she showed, he pressed a quick kiss to her lips before sliding her off his lap to stand in front of him.

“Okay, Little one. I want you to go stand in the corner over there and press your nose against the wall. Before you go though, I want you to know that if at any point you want this to stop you can say red. You have the power and control here and I don’t want you to forget that.”

“Red. Okay, I can remember that.”

He watched her spin and head to the corner he pointed to, placing her nose just as he directed her to. What a sight she made standing there.

It was like a piece fell into place and up to that moment it was just a hope that she would be his.

Now he knew, without a doubt, he would do everything within his power to keep Olivia.

She was trusting him with her submission here and that didn’t go unnoticed .

“I’m starting the timer now, Olivia. If you move or fidget it will be restarted. You can do this, Little one.”

Turning the timer on his phone on and making sure the ringer was all the way up, Miles sat back and watched his Little girl. He wanted to make sure that he caught any slight change in her.

Finally the timer went off and he watched her body relax. Calling her back over, Miles pulled her back into his lap. He needed to hold her close.

“Well done, babygirl. I am so proud of you. Can you tell me what’s going on in your mind right now?”

“I don’t know why I decided to push the limit tonight. It’s not like me to push boundaries. Pushing boundaries is dangerous and I usually end up hurt.”

Miles tensed beneath her. Quickly masking the thoughts racing through his mind to keep from alarming Olivia, he snuggled in with her.

“I think deep down you wanted to see if I truly meant what I said. I also think that deep down inside you know that I would never do anything to harm you intentionally.”

Letting them fall into a comfortable silence, Miles continued to hold her close just letting everything process.

He knows that what happened could be a lot and he wants her to take all the time she needs to work through the thought running in her mind.

There was nowhere else that they needed to be and nothing that they needed to be doing besides this right here.

Hearing Diesel walk into the room, he watched as the big guy walked right over to Olivia and placed his head in her lap.

When she reached out to pet him, Miles knew then that everything was going to be alright.
