Authorities have been left baffled by a shocking discovery at a house in Rosemond yesterday evening. Originally police attention was raised after firefighters were required at the quiet residence in the Station area of the town at around 12 am after receiving panicked calls from residents. A fire of unknown origins had devastated the two-bedroom, terraced home and local firemen and women were put to the test to get the raging inferno under control before endangering the surrounding houses. Close to a local primary school, this residential area rarely has any such involvement.

Upon entering the home, a grizzly discovery was made by firefighters of at least two bodies. Extensive investigations will be ongoing to assess exactly how many bodies there are and what has happened at this quiet home. If that wasn’t chilling enough, police have issued a statement today, giving a small press conference asking for witnesses to come forward to help with their enquiries. The deceased have not been named to the press, but we have been told that the families have been notified.

During the press conference, Detective Sergeant Simon Herrington advised that two men had been brutally murdered and dismembered. Authorities believe the fire was started to conceal the crime and destroy valuable evidence.

Even more chilling however, was the discovery that the men’s bodies had been taken apart and there were signs of sexual interference with the corpse's postmortem. This is a most gruesome and heinous crime and we here at the Rosemond Gazette are also asking for witnesses to step forward, for all those who were in and around the area of Station yesterday who may have seen the perpetrator, even without realising it.

We asked Detective Sergeant Herrington what precautions residents should take with such a despicable serial killer in our midst, his reply was unacceptable, downplaying the seriousness of the situation. We believe that more needs to be done. There have been over twenty unexplained deaths due to extreme violence which are believed to be the work of the Rosemond Ripper, a serial killer who has been terrorising the town since 2007. ?
