Story: Reluctantly Rogue
Jonah looks back at Torin. “Maybe. But first…Amelia Landry is getting married this weekend.”
I’m in. I don’t know who Amelia is, but her last name is Landry. Just like Abigail’s.
And I saw the way Torin looked at Abigail’s photo. She has to be the woman he danced with two years ago. The one he’s still thinking about. The one that made him believe a king could actually have true love.
I look over my shoulder just before Jonah pulls me out of the room.
Torin is still at his desk, looking at his computer screen.
Yeah, that has to be her.
So it looks like we’re on our way to Louisiana for a wedding. And to get Torin a princess.

Wait ’Til I Tell Ye
EPISODE 741 TRANSCRIPT
Lindsey: So our illustrious prince has once again jetted off to the U.S. for the weekend. Ugh!
Jen: For a friend’s wedding! That’s sweet.
Lindsey: Yes, we wouldn’t want his duties as prince to get in the way of a good party.
Jen: What duties? He’s not really doing that much. And did you hear? Linnea Olsen went with him.
Lindsey: Wait, what? I love Linnea.
Jen: Everyone does. I mean people have always talked about how perfect they would be together. Okay, at least since Torin first came back two years ago. Their families have been friends for a long time. They’ve known each other since they were kids.
Lindsey: No question. Linnea is one of us. And she’s definitely princess material.
Jen: For sure. So maybe their getaway is more than just a weekend of partying in Louisiana. Oh! Maybe he’s introducing her to his friends there! And his brother and sister are there! They know her too, but it’s been a while. It’s a good thing for them to all spend time together if Torin and Linnea are dating!
Lindsey: Okay, I’m not so mad about this trip now. But, Torin, if you’re listening, we’re going to need to hear something concrete soon! Spill the tea, Your Highness!

Jonah: I am very displeased with this particular turn of events.
Torin: There’s no turn of events. It’s just gossip. They’ll figure it out once I’m with Abigail.
And when the fuck is that going to happen? She walked out after dancing with you. Again. Then got on a plane the next morning without saying goodbye. And now we’re in fucking Shreveport and you’ve only been texting. This doesn’t feel like an epic romance, Torin. This isn’t even dating.
I have a plan.
You also have a best friend who would really love to not have podcasts speculating about his woman being on a romantic getaway with another man.
Why are you texting me instead of coming down here to my room and talking to me?
Because, unlike you, I managed to win over the woman I love, and I now have her curled up next to me in bed. Naked. I’m not leaving this to come talk to you.
I’m happy for you, you know.
You should be. Linnea’s amazing. I’m a lucky son of a bitch.
