“Mind giving me your phone for a sec?” he asks, holding out his palm.

I frown. “Why?”

“Don’t be a brat and give it to me,” he growls, snatching the phone out of my hand.

I expect him to go through it but instead he smashes it against the concrete floor and steps on it with his heel, completely destroying it.

“What the fuck did you do?!” I scramble over the floor, picking up the shattered pieces. “You bastard! This was the only way for me to contact them!”

Bellami rolls his eyes and snaps his fingers. Two buff men in pitch black suits appear behind me and catch a hold of my arms.

“Get him on the plane.”

“No! Get the fuck off me!” I trash and fight against their iron grips as they force me into the jet. “Please! I need to talk to him! Please, Bellami!”

He doesn’t spare me a glance as we get on the plane. The two beastly men tie me on a seat, imprisoning me.

“You’ll be fine,” he asserts, gesturing to his lackeys to leave us.

I yank at the restraints as hard as I can but in vain. “Why are you doing this? Aren’t you my brother? Why are you doing this?!”

He sighs. I can’t detect any sympathy in his tone as he says, “You’re my blood.”

The rhythmic thumbing of his finger on the luxurious leather seat echoes in the space. I’m tied up in a private jet, unable to escape and soaring tides of regret crash into me as the seconds pass.

I’m fucked. Royally freaking fucked .

This is a one-way trip to hell, and I bought a ticket with my own two hands. I managed to ruin my life as easily as that.

Aoi…I want to see Aoi. I want to go home .

The more I dwell on it, the more I start wondering whether he’s really my brother. The information he has, and the DNA test don’t prove anything. Anyone could have gotten my DNA and faked the test. Anyone could have gathered information on me!

No. No. No. No. No.

I have to get out of here before it’s too late. I trash against the restraints, scraping my skin. Bellami sighs and stands up. Out of a black bag, he pulls out a syringe along with a strange, bottled liquid.

“This will help you relax during the flight.” He holds down my arm and carefully inserts the needle under my skin. “Don’t worry, it’s not dangerous. It’s a mere soporific.”

I gape at the liquid entering my body and slowly spreading through my veins. Tears well up in my eyes and I let them stream. I shake and my heartbeat runs a marathon in my ribcage.

An eternity spreads through time in a few minutes, my vision blurs, and my senses dull. My consciousness evaporates into thin air as I faint into oblivion.

“Aoi…”
