“This is so exciting.” I grin, bouncing on the balls of my feet as we wait in line.

Gavin leans in, whispering in my ear. “You know, we don’t have to wait in line. Perks of dating the lead singer of the band.”

“I know.” I laugh. “But I want to experience it like any other super fan.”

“You really are obsessed with her,” Gavin chuckles, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and pressing a kiss to the top of my head.

“I can’t even deny it,” I sigh dreamily. This past week has been perfect, hand-picked out of a romance book.

“You’re so damn cute.”

“You're pretty good looking yourself.” I turn in his hold, wrapping my arms around his neck. “I love you, you know that?”

“Of course I do.” He kisses the top of my nose, and my heart swells.

“I wanted to check in with you, see how you're doing with all of this.”

“I’m doing fine, Little One.” He presses a kiss to my lips that makes my head spin.

“Are you sure? I don’t want you to feel left out.” I pout up at him, feeling guilty that my Alphas haven’t been getting as much attention as Ally has.

“I don’t feel left out. You’ve gotten the woman you’ve been in love with for most of your life back.

I want you to take this time with her, take as much time as you need.

Enjoy every moment of it. I’ll be here, always.

I’m not going anywhere. Plus, you found your scent match. That needs its own time too.”

“And you're okay with all of this?” My eyes search his.

“More than okay.” He grins. “Stop worrying about me, Lu,” he growls playfully. “I’m not feeling left out. I’m not feeling unwanted. I’m happy. For you and for this new journey we’re going on. I’m loving it. It’s exciting. And to see you and my brother so happy? Yeah, it's amazing.”

“You're amazing.” I grab the back of his head and kiss him roughly, grinning when he growls out a groan, gripping my hips roughly.

“And you're being a little tease.” He sucks my lower lip into his mouth, giving it a little nibble. “Naughty girl.”

“I think you have me mistaken for someone else.” I bat my eyelashes up at him innocently. “I’m a good girl.”

“Mmhmm,” he chuckles. “Sure you are, Darling."

Giggling, I turn around to follow the line to the entrance. We have VIP passes, the highest ones you can get. The line isn’t very big, there are only twenty tickets of this type that they sell for each show, and we’re two of the lucky ones who got them.

“I can’t believe we get to meet Ally Cat,” a girl in front of us gushes. “She’s soooo sexy. Like the way she grips her mic when she really gets into a song.” She fans herself, and I can’t help but roll my lips together, trying not to smile.

“I wish she would hold something of mine like that.” One of the guys from their group says, and the others chuckle.

My smile drops, and I roll my eyes. Perv.

“Yeah, dream on,” the first girl laughs. “You wouldn’t have a chance with her even if you were the last man on earth.”

The girls in their group laugh, and I can’t help but let mine slip before slapping a hand over my mouth. I spin to shove my face into Gavin’s chest as he chuckles softly.

“You heard her at her last show. She has a pack now,” the girl says.

“I’m dying to know who. She didn’t say any names, but I have my suspicions,” one of her friends says.

“It’s totally the bodyguard. Do you see how he looks at her? And all the photos of the two of them joking around. Either he’s gay and her best friend, or they’re totally fucking,” the guy says.

“I think the manager is a part of it too,” another girl says. “If not, he should be. That man is fiiiine.”

“Remember when she said someone from her past came back into her life?” the first girl asks, and my ears perk up.

“Well, I happen to know someone from her hometown. There’s no proof, but they think it’s her old best friend.

Something messed up happened in their town, this big thing with cults and everything. Anyways, they think it’s her.”

“Oh my god!” her friend squeals. “That would be so romantic,” she sighs wistfully. “As much as I’d like a chance with her, I’m rooting for the best friend.”

My heart swells, and I can’t help but feel all floaty and giddy.

“Same,” the first girl says. “That would be like the most epic romance book ever.”

Leaning my head up to look at Gavin, I find him grinning down at me. He winks, and I can’t help but giggle.

“Please,” the guy snorts. “She could have anyone she wanted. Why would she want some small-town girl?”

My smile falls, and Gavin shoots the guy a glare.

“Money doesn’t mean everything,” the girl scoffs. “True love doesn’t see how much money you have, or what kind of life you live. If you really love someone, they could be homeless, sleeping in a cardboard box, and it wouldn’t matter.”

“True,” her friend agrees. “You're just pissed off that the girl you’ve been head over heels for doesn’t want you. Maybe if you stopped being a chauvinistic pig, she would.”

There’s a chorus of oh burns from their group.

“Prick,” Gavin grumbles.

When we get through the line, we’re led to a table with a bunch of merch. “Alright,” I turn to Gavin. “You have the card?”

“This one?” he holds up his black credit card. “Yes, Darlin’, so get whatever your little heart desires.”

“You're my hero,” I giggle.

Listen, this is my first Rage Against the Heart concert, I’m gonna go all number one, stalker fan. Is it cringy? Possibly. But do I care? Not a single bit.

I grab one of everything. A hoodie, a t-shirt, key chains, buttons, stickers, a light-up stick, and even an umbrella. I also grab a beanie that says My Heart’s In Pieces and it’s Your Fault. It’s pink, black, and glittery–I had to.

By the time we’re done, Gavin is laughing, arms full.

“Holy crap,” someone whispers behind us. “I wish I had an Alpha who loves me that much to buy me all of that.”

“Me too,” someone else sighs.

I grin up at Gavin, and he winks down at me, my heart swelling with love. I’m lucky to have him.

“Well, looks like we have a super fan.” I jump when I hear Nate’s voice. He’s standing behind the merch table.

“What are you doing here?” I laugh.

“Had to check in on a few things,” he says, looking around subtly. He clears his throat. “For a fee, we can store all of that for you.” I think that’s code for Do you want me to bring that back to the bus for you?

“I’d love that. Thank you.” I giggle.

Gavin goes to pay, but Nate quickly and discreetly taps his own card, giving Gavin a look.

“Ally would kill me if you paid for any of this, seeing how she was planning on giving you one of everything anyway.”

Ugh. My damn heart is going to explode.

I pick what I want to wear, choosing a shirt with just Ally. She’s facing away, only her back profile showing. She’s dressed in a crop top, shorts, fishnet stockings, and boots that go up to her knees. Her hands are in the air, with her middle fingers up.

The bottom of the shirt says: This Kitty Has Claws.

“Nice choice,” Nate chuckles.

Slipping on the new lanyard I bought, I’m ready to go into the concert, but someone guides me in a different direction. “What’s going on?” I ask them.

They frown at me. “There’s a photo op. It’s part of the package.”

“Oh.” I blink, excited butterflies flying in my belly.

“You gonna cream your panties, Lulu?” Gavin chuckles.

“Oh, fuck you.” I glare at him playfully.

“Nah, baby, I’d much rather fuck you.” He grins, kissing my lips until my head spins.

“Stop it,” I breathe.

“Why?” He brushes his lips against mine again.

“Or I’m going to be turned on all night,” I mutter.

His nose twitches, followed by the corner of his lips. “I can smell you already.”

“Shit.”

“Don’t worry about it.” Gavin spins me around, pulling me to his chest, then drapes his arms over my shoulders. “Give her something to think about while she’s on stage.”

“You're bad,” I laugh.

The line moves and the band finally comes into view. My eyes land on Ally, and my heart starts to race, the butterflies going full force now.

She’s talking to a fan, a smile on her face that makes my heart clench. She’s so beautiful. So at ease. I can tell she loves her job. And I love seeing her in her element.

I watch her interact with fans, her and the band taking photos and signing things. Then my eyes shift over to Liam. I didn’t realize how close we’ve gotten to him. His eyes aren’t just on Ally. He watches her for a moment before letting his eyes sweep the room, then back to her.

He takes his job seriously. Not just because it’s his job, but because he’s protecting one of the most precious things in the world to him.

When we’re together, I feel like he’s that way with me, too. It’s only been a week, but I know I’m falling in love with Liam. It’s hard not to. Maybe it’s because of the scent match bond, but I know it’s not just that. He’s an amazing man. A great Alpha.

When we’re right next to him, I can feel my body hum. His smell has a whimper catching in my throat. My breathing picks up, and I can feel the tension between us.

His hand slips into mine, fingers tangling together as he gives me a squeeze before he pulls back. It’s a small gesture, but to me, it means everything.

I bite my lip, unable to hold back my grin.

And when it’s our turn, my smile grows wider.

“Heeeyyy.” Ally grins. “It’s awesome to meet you.” She winks.

I feel giddy, playing the role of a super fan.

“It’s amazing to meet you, too,” I say, laughing.

“How’s your night going?” Ally asks.

“Pretty good so far.” I can’t keep the smile off my face, excitement humming through me.

“Looks like you’re our last meet and greet,” Ally says, looking behind me. “Guess that means you’re the lucky fan of the night.”

“How so?” I ask, looking around and seeing that we are indeed the last people. But there are fans standing around, watching, wishing they got to meet her, sneaking photos.

“Means we can take some extra time getting photos. No rush.” She winks again. “Got anything for me to sign?”

“Ahh...” My eyes widen. Shit, no, I don’t. I gave Nate my autograph book.
