“I love you too.” I give him a watery smile. “And the same thing goes for you. Even though Liam is in my life now, it doesn't mean that I don’t want you and Gavin as my Alphas too. It’s why I think joining packs is the best idea.”
“So much has happened in such a short time,” he sighs, putting his forehead to mine.
“How are you doing, Little One?” Gavin’s hand rubs up and down my back. “With Ally?”
A sob bursts free, like a dam breaking. “I’m so fucking happy.”
“Shit.” Brady pulls me back into his arms.
“Shh.” Gavin steps behind me, boxing me in, making me feel safe and loved. “We got you.”
“I’ve wanted this for so long, but never thought I’d ever get it, you know?
I’ve tried to get over her, tried to move on.
But the love I have for her is so strong.
Like my soul calls to her. And now?” I cry harder.
“Now, I get to be with her. And start this new beginning. Get the time with her I should have had years ago.”
“Yes, you do.” Brady kisses the top of my head. “And we get to be right there with you.”
“I don’t deserve you two.”
“Don’t say that,” Gavin growls. “You deserve so fucking much, Lulu. And we’re willing to do whatever we can to make sure it happens. We might not be your scent matches, but we may as well be, because we all know what we’ve felt since that day on the side of the road is just as powerful.”
“Ah, I hate to interrupt. But have any of you looked into what a soul bond is?” Nate pipes up. Oops, forgot he was here.
“Soul bond?” I sniff, wiping at my eyes. “No?”
“It’s rare. Even rarer than scent matches, and honestly, it’s not talked about as often as it should.
Most people don’t know about it. Anyways, I can’t be sure, because like I said, not much research has been done on it, but my parents are soul bonds, and well, from what you’ve said, there could be a chance you all are too. ”
“What does that mean?” Gavin asks. “What does a soul bond do?”
“It’s like a scent match, but it’s not triggered by a smell.
It’s by simply being near the person. You get this intense pull towards them, like you have to be near them.
Only, soul bonds don’t have to be romantic.
It can be whatever you want or need them to be.
It just means that person has a connection with you unlike any other. ”
“Huh.” I blink up at the guys. “So, in a way, we were always meant to be with each other.”
“Yeah, baby girl.” Brady kisses me softly. “You were always meant to be ours.”
“I’m almost positive Ally and Liam are too. But I haven't brought it up to them yet, because it would have added a whole new load of complications.” He laughs awkwardly.
“Don’t worry.” I smile. “I won’t say anything to them.”
“Thanks.” He smiles gratefully.
It has me wondering, could Ally and I be soul bonds too? I need to look more into this. Now I’m interested.
“Nate?” Gavin asks. “What happens now? I know Ally says we join packs, and we’re not against that. But isn’t she in the middle of a tour?”
“About that,” Ally says, bursting into the room at that moment and making us all jump.
She stands there, grinning wide, this vibrant energy coming off her in waves. She’s so pretty to look at. My heart hurts with how much I’ve missed this woman.
“You’re all coming on the road with me,” she states proudly.
“Ally, we talked about sitting down and having a conversation first,” Liam groans.
“Who has time for that?” Her brows furrow.
“You can’t just tell everyone what to do.”
“Can too,” she mutters.
I can’t help but laugh. It catches her attention, and she smiles brightly at me before rushing over to me.
“Hi–” I hardly get the words out before her lips crash down on mine.
I moan, my body lighting with flames. When I kissed her before, my whole world was turned upside down in the best way possible. Kissing her is like coming home, like breathing in clear, crisp air after being in a polluted city.
Perfect. Energizing. Life.
“Say yes,” she pants against my lips, her eyes flicking between us. “Come with me, Lulu. Come on tour with me. I can’t stand the idea of being away from you. If you say no, I’m cancelling the rest of the tour to stay here with you.”
“No, you’re not,” Nate singsongs.
“You’re not my boss,” she singsongs back.
“Yes,” I say quickly and then bite my lip, looking over at Brady and Gavin. “Sorry.”
“Don’t be, Little One,” Gavin laughs. “If this is what you want, you got it.” He winks. “Also, I don’t think this big guy wants to watch Ally leave him behind either.”
Brady stands there, staring at Ally and looking like he wants to say something so badly.
Grabbing Ally by the hand, I bring her over to Brady. “Brady, be a big boy and use your words,” I tell him, trying not to smile.
He glares at me. “You’re lucky I love you.”
“I know.” I wink.
Brady lets out a breath, then looks to Ally, who’s standing there, arms crossed, waiting for him to speak. She has this sassy attitude that I find so hot.
“I’m sorry for being a jerk earlier. While everything did happen insanely fast, it doesn’t give me the right to be a dick.
And I’m sorry if you thought for any moment that I’m upset about you being my scent match.
I’m not. I’m not gonna lie. I was a little freaked out; it was a lot to take in, but I’m not upset.
I don’t want you to feel rejected.” He lifts his hand, cupping Ally’s face.
I watch her body relax as she leans into him.
He steps closer. “I’m looking forward to getting to know you, to see what new adventures are about to come our way. ”
“Really?” she asks softly.
“Yes.” He licks his lips. “Not going to lie, I’m glad I don’t have to choose because I love Lulu so damn much.”
“Good thing I feel the same way. You can love more than one person, you know.”
“Yeah,” he chuckles. “I’m starting to see that.”
Is it weird that I want to see them kiss?
“Lulu,” Gavin whispers in my ear. “We can smell you.”
“So?” I mutter, but my cheeks pinken. “It’s hot, okay?”
The whole room starts to laugh, breaking the bit of tension.
“I accept your apology. And as long as it doesn’t happen again, we can move past it.”
“It won’t,” Brady promises.
“So, how about it?” Ally asks. “You two up for coming on tour with me?”
The guys look at one another, doing their freaky twin-talking-without-words-thing.
“Yeah,” Gavin says. “I think we can make that work. We just have a few things we need to work out first.”
“Perfect.” Ally grins. “We leave tomorrow.”
