“Today is a very special day for a lot of reasons. Before I continue, I wanna say sorry to my PR team. I’ll make sure to give you all a nice, juicy bonus.” She laughs, and the crowd laughs along with her.
“Oh fuck,” Nate groans, pulling his phone out. “Rachel? Yeah, have them on standby.”
“Should we be worried?” I ask, looking up at Liam, then over to Nate. “Shouldn’t one of you go stop her?”
Liam snorts. “There’s no stopping Ally when she gets an idea in her head. It’s better to just deal with the fallout.”
“It’s my fault. I’ve been very supportive of her free will, encouraging her to make her own choices regarding her career,” Nate sighs.
“And she has every right to. Her life. Her choice. She just never fails to keep me on my toes.” Nate grins, “Shhhh, don’t tell anyone, but I think it’s the best part. ”
“You see, today, someone very, very important to me came back into my life.”
My eyes widen, and the crowd cheers.
“How many of you know about the one who got away?” The deafening noise of the crowd as they scream back is insane. “Well, this person was mine. Someone I thought I’d lost forever. Guess some god out there took pity on my ass and gave my poor heart a break.”
More cheers. “I’ve seen the article, the rumors, the guesses of who’s Ally with?
Does she have a pack? Is she dating her bandmates?
Well, first, these guys.” She hitches a thumb over her shoulder to Skyler, Tyson, and Ryker.
“Are like my big brothers. So eww, gross.” She shudders, and people laugh.
“So that answers those rumors. But do I have a pack?” She cocks her head to the side as she paces the stage.
“Yesterday, I would have said no. I was as single as they come.” More cheers.
“Ahhh, but that was yesterday. Today is a whole new ball game.”
The crowd loses their shit once again.
“Is she really about to out us to the world?” Liam questions in disbelief.
“I swear to god, I’m going to kill whoever gave her fucking coffee,” Nate growls.
I’m standing there, watching in disbelief. Is she really going to?
This is all so new. None of us has been able to process this yet.
Panic starts to fill me. I didn’t even think about being in the spotlight. I’m not ready for that.
“But unfortunately, that’s all I can say about the situation.
” The whole crowd boos. “Sorry, sorry.” She raises her hands up.
“All in good time. Good things come to those who wait. Trust me, I’d know.
So, how about I make it up to you all for leaving you on that little bit of a cliffhanger, and sing you a never before released song? ”
They chant, “New song! New song!” and I let out a breath of relief.
“I just lost five years off my life,” Nate groans, placing his hand on his heart.
“I’m going to kill her,” Liam growls. “Why does she like to fuck with us like that?” he growls.
“This song is for that person I mentioned. It’s their birthday today, by the way, so wish them a happy birthday!”
A surprised smile shifts my lips as tears form in my eyes. She remembered?
“I’m sure they thought I'd forgotten. But I could never. This is for you, you know who you are.”
Ally sits on a stool, taking an acoustic guitar from someone who brings it out to her.
She strums it a couple of times before she starts playing the song. It has this slow, haunting melody.
When she starts to sing, my soul ignites, her voice like a siren calling, putting me at the mercy of her spell.
––––––––
You're gone, but I’m here. With a broken heart and broken tears.
A life with regrets, you're not one. If I could go back, I’d have bitten my tongue.
Each and every day, the world goes round.
Leaving me behind, while I’m stuck here, with my feet on the ground.
I can’t move forward, I can’t go back.
My life in limbo, mind on display, with flashes of memories holding me in place.
Late night wonders, keeping me awake. The eyes that haunt me, any time I fade– into darkness. I can’t stop this.
Silent whispers, echoes in my mind. Your voice an imprint, tattooed on my spine– drag me under. Take me now.
I can’t breathe without you. I can’t think.
Surrounded by quicksand with the timer running out.
I’m screaming into the void, hoping you can hear me.
Because you're the only one who can save me. But will you save me?
Late night wonders, keeping me awake. The eyes that haunt me, any time I fade– into darkness. I can’t stop this.
Silent whispers, echoes in my mind. Your voice an imprint, tattooed on my spine– drag me under. Take me now.
What's the point of all of this, if you're not here with me?
Never my dream, never the goal, it’s always been you, consuming my soul.
I don’t want this anymore, not if I’m alone.
All of this is pointless, no happiness, no home.
Late night wonders, keeping me awake. The eyes that haunt me, any time I fade– into darkness. I can’t stop this.
Silent whispers, echoes in my mind. Your voice an imprint, tattooed on my spine– drag me under. Take me now.
Drag me under. Take me now.
Drag me under. Take me now.

The last strum of the chord lingers in the air. The whole room is in silence for the smallest moment before erupting into madness.
And me? I’m crying like a little bitch. Full ugly sobs.
“She’s pretty fucking incredible,” Liam comments, pulling me into his arms, my back meeting his front as he rests his chin on my head.
“Yeah.” I sniffle, wiping at my eyes. “She is.”
I’m a mess, and I really regret not springing the extra few bucks for waterproof mascara. Damn me for being so damn content lately that hardly anything makes me cry.
Happy or sad, this girl tends to bring it out in me. Thankfully, this time it’s happy. Pure damn happiness.
“That's all we've got for you, LA!” Ally shouts. “Thanks for coming out tonight. And I hope you like the new song. It’s a little different from our normal stuff, but it's one of my personal favorites. Have a good night, and be safe!”
They start to demand an encore, something I’m told that they always do, but this time, Ally just waves goodbye.
She bounces over to the band, saying something before turning her bright grin on us as she rushes off stage.
“Hey.” She stops in front of us. “The fuck you think you’re doing, making my girl cry?”
Liam snorts. “These tears are all because of you, Kitten.”
She grins wide at the nickname. “You do like me, don’t you?”
Liam sighs, but he chuckles too.
Her eyes lower to mine, and my stomach swirls.
Biting her lip, she grips my chin. “Mhm. I like this look.” She rubs her thumb under my eye. “But next time, those tears will be spilling down those pretty little cheeks while you’re screaming my name.”
The heat in her eyes has my body flushing, but the boldness of her words renders me speechless. This, this is the Ally I knew. The brave, unfiltered girl who says fuck you to the world and does what she wants.
And in this moment, I feel like the teenage girl who always felt alive when I was around her.
I’ve had so many daydreams of what it would be like to finally have Ally the way I’ve always wanted, what it would be like to go from friends to something more.
This? Nothing prepared me for this. The way she talks, the way it makes me feel...
Yeah, so far, I have no complaints.
“Fucking hell, Ally,” Liam growls, and it’s just now I can smell the pheromones coming off him in waves as the stiffness of his cock presses against my ass.
I’m unable to stop the burst of perfume that leaves me, making Liam growl low and deep, holding me just a little bit tighter.
“What?” she blinks up at him innocently. “I didn’t do anything.”
“Nate,” Liam growls.
“Yes, my grumpy-ass Alpha?” he chuckles.
“Take my Omega and safely get her back to Ally’s dressing room. We need to go do the meet and greet.” Liam looks down at me. “Are you okay with that?”
“Yeah.” I nod, clearing my throat. “Of course.”
Liam steps away, and I miss his touch instantly.
My eyes find Ally’s again.
“If it wouldn’t cause a major PR nightmare, I’d kiss the fuck out of you right now,” Ally purrs.
“Okay,” I whisper, blinking up at her with lust.
She laughs softly. “Go with Nate. He will take you back to your Alphas. Wait for me, okay?” Her smile fades. “You’re going to be there when I come back, right?”
Reaching out, I take her hand, giving it a squeeze. “I’m not going anywhere, Ally. Not without you.”
She swallows hard, hesitating. I know how she feels. It’s like if I’m away from her, for even a moment, I’ll lose her again, and this time for good.
“You two go. I’ve got your Omega. She’s safe with me,” Nate reassures them.
Liam wraps his arm around Ally, guiding her away, but looks back to me with this torn expression. I give him a smile, letting him know I’ll still be there when they get back.
I meant it. I’m not going anywhere. No matter what happens from here on out, I’m going to be at their side.
This was something I used to be afraid of: finding my scent match and losing all control of how I think, how I feel, giving up everything for a stranger.
After what I’ve been through in life, I know damn well things could have ended up a million times worse.
My life is changing, and not just for Liam.
It’s changing into something it should have always been.
She was always meant to be mine. It just took us longer to get here.
