Story: Quasim III: King Inferno (Season Four: Inferno Gods #3)
I shoved shorty who screamed at me. Za turned and pointed right at me, and Quasim had the nerve to nod and wink at me. It was the drugs… I wasn’t seeing this shit, and I had to be tripping. This shit wasn’t happening right now, and I needed to chill the fuck out.
He was fucking dead, and his brother had confirmed it. But here he was, standing beside his brother, smiling at me, never blinking like a fucking nutcase.
Everything was slowed down and even though I wanted to, I couldn’t look away. Once the DJ put on Who We Be by DMX, everyone was turning up. I watched as King got close to his brother’s ear while looking at me.
I read his lips. Get em, Blaze .
My heart sank and legs felt like rubber as everyone was jumping around and dancing to the music. Like a trained Pitbull, that nigga took off and started coming straight for me.
I shoved shorty and hopped over the couch and ran upstairs. A nigga didn’t even know where he was going, I just knew that I wasn’t about to sit there and wait for his crazy ass to get me. When I made it up the steps, I didn’t know if I should go left or go right.

My feet wanted to go one way, but my hips wanted to party and dance to the music downstairs. My brain was fucking scrambled and scared at the same time. Hitting a right, I ran down the hall to one of the doors and opened it.
“Ahhhhhh!” I screamed when an even taller nigga with locs came out the room, backing me against the hallway wall.
He didn’t try and grab me, but I saw the flame on his vest and already knew. Dipping into another room, a nigga was fucking a bitch, so I thought I was safe.
Taking a few breaths, I tried calming myself down. This house was massive, he wasn’t going to find me right away. “Fuck you mean… pervert… the fuck you watching them for?”
A dark-skinned nigga came out the bathroom. “Nigga, you in here too!” my voice came out high-pitched as I ran out the room and went to go down the opposite hall, but that fucking maniac Meer was standing there, staring at me like I was fucking prey.
“They told you… kings never really die, Polo.” His voice was calm and eerie at the same time as I looked behind me.
The master bedroom was the one room the owners told us we couldn’t access. We signed an agreement not to even look at that room, but this was life and death. If I could get to that room, I could probably scale the side of the house and get the fuck out of here.
I quickly turned and took off down the second hallway to the master suite, praying that it wasn’t locked. The door wasn’t locked, so I quickly busted inside, and closed the door behind me. I hopped up and down while holding my head because I was about to fucking die.
“The kingdom falls when the king is gone,” I heard a low ominous voice and clicked on the lights, and this nigga was sitting in the chair waiting for me.
FUCKKKKKK!
All these drugs had me freaking out and I started crying. “My fucking family… you killed my family!”
He remained poised, something I noticed about him. Always had a perfect posture and never let shit rattle him. If someone tried to take me out, I couldn’t say I would be as calm as he was.
“Yeah,” he smiled, as he thought of the shit like it was a beautiful memory.
“Why the fuck is that funny?”
He rotated the toothpick in his mouth. “Shit like that tickles me… I like taking lives. Holding someone’s fear in the palm of my hands.”
“I’m not scared.”
“And I’m not gonna kill you.”
I looked confused. “You’re not gonna kill me?”
He smirked. “I’m gonna kill the fuck out of you.”
The sound of knives being sharpened caused me to turn toward the bathroom. All the air I had left in my body quickly exited when I laid eyes on the Bajan butcher. He fucking looked familiar to the Delgato twins.
Like he was some kin to them or something.
My chest felt tight, and I looked down and realized I had pissed on myself. King stood up from the chair and walked toward him and then pulled out a pocketknife from his pocket.
“Killing your brother wasn’t personal to me…
it was work. Taking your mother and sister were personal because you fucked with my family.
I spared you some shit but let me tell you why your brother was murdered.
” He twirled the toothpick from one side of his mouth to the next before removing it and putting it in his pocket.
“He fucking raped a Valentini and got her pregnant… he deserved fucking death, and I brought it to him. You got your family murdered and yourself over a rapist that took what he wanted.”
My chest became even tighter, and I was sure I was having a heart attack listening to him. Listening to how my brother raped a girl, knowing he had a history of sexual assault, which was the reason I sent his ass out to Ashbourne.
“Fuck.” I said lowly.
“I’ve been in Ashbourne; same place you sent his ass… people talk and the Valentini and Don name is thick in Ashbourne… fucking royalty there. I never knew, nor gave a fuck to get the backstory before taking a life. It’s about money and getting my hands dirty.”
He stood tall, looking at me. “I had a lot of down time since you sat me down… did a lot of damage to my own family, thinking of all the ways I was going to kill you. Aside from that, I found out the reason for the hit on your brother and I’m fucking glad I did the shit.
When you go and meet him… cause that’s where you going, ask him why. ”
I looked at my hands because they looked like worms, then over at the butcher and he was laying out all kinds of tools. Shit I had never even heard about, and was calm about it, even humming peacefully. “I…I didn’t fucking kno?—”
“Think fast!” He said quickly, and I looked over and saw the knife he was messing with coming at me, striking me between the eyes. I stumbled against the wall, then slid down, while the vision in one of my eyes darkened and then the second one joined.
He tried to play me…
