I kissed the back of her hand. “Tamoxifen will alter your cycle for sure. The longer you take it, the more your cycle will change. That is probably why you didn’t know you were pregnant.” Ramos continued to read her file.

“I’m going to call your oncologist and get you in to see him before you both move to Ashbourne. The bleeding, while I’m not completely sure, could be from doing so much activity. You’ve been on go since Quasim and Quameer were shot.”

“It’s a baby girl,” the sonogram technician blurted. It was like she was in her own world when she was tapping around on that machine. She looked around. “Was I not supposed to yell that out?”

We didn’t pay her attention as I looked down into Anjo’s eyes and she had tears. My tears fell onto her face, as she reached up to wipe them away. “Harley told me.”

Her eyes became wide when she realized what I had said. It all made sense when she whispered to me that Harley said it. We both had experienced my daughter at different times, and she told us about her sibling she sent to us.

“A baby girl.”

She smiled through her tears. “A daughter.”

Elijah leaned his head on my arm, and I pulled him into me. “Izayah Rose.”

The name flew out my mouth like word vomit. As if I had no control over my own mouth and thoughts.

“You won’t hesitate when it comes to naming her… I placed it right there.”

The words Harley told me came into my mind and I smiled, tears burning my eyes as I thought about my first daughter. “You thought of that on your own?”

I wiped my face and looked at her. “Nah, I had some help.”

She reached up and hugged her arms around my neck as I smothered her in kisses. The tears wouldn’t stop as I pulled Elijah in the middle of us and kissed him. “I’ll walk through fire for any of you… it’s us five against the world.”

Elijah smiled. “Harley.”

My faith had always been strong, but it had become even stronger. Knowing my baby was up there pulling strings and putting people in my life had me fucking emotional. “We’re Infernos… shit doesn’t tear us apart. I’m never leaving you or Anjo again.”

“Promise.”

I kissed his head. “I promise.”

When Menace sent an automatic text message to all of us, and told us to look outside, I wasn’t expecting the shit I saw. He had gifted each of us a Rezvani Vengeance.

The crazy shit was that Menace probably had all of them ordered while taking a morning shit. We were being transported to Ashbourne in that tank, without the Gods following us. We didn’t want to make it obvious with the Gods following us and giving them any reason to look into me not being dead.

This week had been busy with us going to different doctor appointments. I couldn’t go with Anjo, but I was on that damn phone like I was in the office with her. Her oncologist wasn’t directly concerned, but he wanted to keep a close eye on her.

We found out that Anjo was almost five months, and we wouldn’t have known because she carried so small.

Her stomach was so small compared to what Capri was toting around with Cherry.

Everything with the baby was good, but the doctor wanted her to slow down.

She said she wasn’t putting her on bedrest yet, but she would if Blair couldn’t sit down and rest her body.

Christmas had come and gone, and I was thankful for Capri and Blaze, because Elijah enjoyed himself. I wasn’t in the holiday mood and was more concerned about the niggas that did this to me.

We celebrated Cherry turning a year old.

When I watched my brother as a father and a husband, that shit made me excited.

He was always looking up to me our entire life, and now it was my turn to look up to him.

He made that shit look like a breeze, like it was no sweat to be the perfect father and husband.

Yeah, I knew there was no such thing as being the perfect husband or father, but Blaze made that shit look like it. My only prayer was that God continued to bless their union, and mine. I wanted to be nearly perfect when it came to Anjo, Elijah and Izayah.

Recovery was fucking slow, and I was sick of the bitch. I was tired of taking medicine and feeling weak within my body. I couldn’t even fuck my wife because the shit took too much energy for me.

“How you doin’, King?” I saw Forty come into view and realized I had been in my head.

Anjo was resting next to me in the sunroom, as we looked out at the water and the bridge connecting Staten Island to New Jersey.

“Shit… what’s good with you?” We hit the IG shake and he kissed Blair’s head as she slept and then plopped down in the chair across from us.

“How has she been?”

“Tired. Trying to take it easy, but she wanna do everything for everybody.”

He chuckled. “The same reason you fell in love with her… I need her to keep that little one baking and relax. She’s done enough, now she has to rest.”

“Feel you… she hardheaded.” I kissed her head as I watched Elijah play the video game in the living room. “What brings you by? How is shit with you and everything with Mercer?”

He leaned back and chuckled. “Mercer is ready to drop big names now that Lucia killed herself. She was his fall person and with her gone, and them having Thea as a witness, he’s fucked.”

“They gonna let him take the fall before they bring someone else down with him.” I replied and he nodded in agreement.

“Look, I want to know what you wanna do with his mother? She thinks she’s safe in WITSEC.”

“That bitch has to die… I don’t care how the shit is done, but she has to go… she doesn’t get to live and play victim.”

Forty noted what I had said. “I’ll have it handled… everything is good with nephew?”

I looked over at him cheering because he shot a zombie. When he asked for the violent ass game, I let him have it because I wanted to give my boy the world. He suffered enough, and I wanted him to have whatever he wanted.

His pops had the money, so he never had to worry about shit.

“Blair lined up a therapist that Jeffie recommended, and she agreed to see him. Forty, I just want the best for him, feel me?”

“I hear you. Being a parent ain’t for the weak… gotta raise them up to be good people, and that’s a lot of fucking pressure.”

“You don’t want kids?”

“Eventually.”

I kissed my baby’s head a few more times as she snored and drooled on my shirt. “Couldn’t see this for myself.”

“Just because you couldn’t see it, didn’t mean we all didn’t want it to happen for you.”

“Hi, Ms. Zoya!” I heard Elijah greet, and continue playing the game, as Zoya walked out here.

“Hey hey,” she came over to hug me, then Forty, and sat in the empty chair beside him. “Look at how peaceful she looks… she needed this rest.”

“Zoy, what you doing here?”

“Capri told me to come here, she has something to discuss… she and Meer were coming from a doctor’s appointment.”

Blaze already told me that Capri was pregnant. She was still trying to wrap her head around becoming a mother again. “She told me the same thing… said it was important.”

“You know your brother crazy, right?”

“Which one?”

“Shit,” Forty laughed.

“Menace… nigga gifted all of us, that fucking tank he rides around in.”

Zoya laughed. “Maybe he won’t be on my nerves because I refuse to drive that as my personal vehicle. Hell, I hope he gifted one of you the one he bought for me and Kora.”

“This nigga just be buying a quarter of a million dollars tanks for everybody?”

“The Caselli money goes very long and now goes even longer since that import deal.” She shrugged and leaned back in the chair.

“Baby cakes, I know you heard me beeping behind yo fine ass,” Goon came into the sunroom, and hit the IG shake with me. “Prince Inferno, you gonna leave me hanging?”

He looked between Goon and his game, and came running to hit the IG shake with Goon, then ran back to his game. “I don’t respond to cat calls out the window while driving on the highway, Gerald.”

“Since when is telling your wife she’s beautiful a crime, Babycakes?”

Zoya stopped looking in her phone. “I am not your wife, Gerald.”

He pulled her up out the chair, sat down and pulled her onto his lap. She didn’t fight him on it as he got close to her ear. “Yet.”

Zoya needed to stop playing because she knew she wanted this nigga. I knew one thing; she needed to give this nigga those chocolate fucking babies.

“What’s the word, King?” he rubbed the side of Zoya’s thighs.

She rolled her eyes while she continued on her phone. “Shit… fuck up with you?”

“Thinking about you leaving for Ashbourne… nigga gonna miss you.” Goon chuckled, as he wrapped his big ass arms around Zoya.

“I am going to miss my girl, but I know it’s needed. She needs to rest and bring this baby into the world. Selfishly, I’m praying everything is handled before she gives birth, so she can have the baby back home.”

Goon leaned back as he continued to rub the sides of her thighs. “You need to rest, too, Baby cakes.”

“What you mean?”

“Look tired.”

Goon stared at her, and she sighed. “Work must continue, no?”

“Yeah, but not at the expense of our health, mama.” He kissed her shoulder, and she picked her phone back up and busied herself with it.

“Such a glorious day today… feels amazing out here.” Blaze came limping into the sunroom feeling all excited.

“It’s fucking snowing.” I replied.

“In case you needed a reminder,” he walked by Goon, Zoya, and Forty, and showed off his wedding band. “I’m fucking married and grown.”

“The fuck does that even mean?” Forty questioned.

Capri came walking into the sunroom like a zombie. “My Suga is pregnant again… we’ll take twenty thousand a piece as a baby shower gift… ten for baby a and baby b.”

I moved over as she snuggled in next to me and laid her head on my shoulder. “You good, Pri?”

“That woman looked me dead in my face and said congratulations you’re having twins.”

I smiled at her. “You bout to give me more nieces and nephews… congratulations,” I pulled her into me, while Blair stirred from her sleep.
