Page 110 of Knot So Damaged
Neither of the other two Alphas were remotely pleased about the fact that the Demons were the ones that helped Scott take me. Because they were the same club that took Gwen.
What they don’t know is that it was actually the Andrews pack that took her. The Demons were just the lackeys for them.
I mull over the information that I am holding back from my pack as I cook dinner. I’m terrified of the pain that it will cause them when they find out—because they will. It's inevitable at this point. But I still want to protect them from it. They are going to learn that their first Omega was raped which resulted in a pregnancy.
And now the child of that pregnancy now calls me Mom.
It's a clusterfuck.
I glance at the clock for a final time as I dish up the pasta dish I prepared for the four of us. Right on six o’clock, I place Scott’s plate down in front of him. He grunts before digging into the dish, not bothering to wait for anyone else.
I glance at the clock again as Scott swallows the mouth full of food.
Four minutes.
I place Amity and Makari’s plates in front of them before collecting my own.
Three minutes and twenty-one seconds.
I pick up my glass, taking a deep drink of water. Placing the cup back down, I keep an eye on Scott as he continues to eat. My gaze travels quickly to his phone that remains dark.
I grab a small fork full of the pasta, eating quickly, but not quick enough to raise suspicion.
Three minutes.
I look over at Amity, smiling as she sucks the pasta into her mouth. Sauce covers her face already, the look only making her look even more adorable.
I glance over at Makari. He looks up to me at the same time. I nod my head enough for him to notice but not enough that Scott does.
Once my Alphas and I had concocted our plan, I filled Makari in on everything that was going on. Seeing the hurt on his face as I carefully explained to him what the Andrews pack had done to him and why it was wrong, took a heavy toll. After Makari asked me his questions and shed a few tears, the young Omega transformed in front of me.
Gone was the naive boy that did as he was told.
In his place was a man that understood that his abuse wouldn’t be tolerated.
Thankfully, Makari was more than happy to keep acting as though nothing had changed, leaving Scott none the wiser.
The feral Alpha’s phone flashing has me jolting to attention. Picking up the phone, he answers the call. I don’t bother listening in though. I already know what is being said.
I look up at the clock.
One minute and forty-six seconds.
“Stupid, useless cunts. Can you believe that the Demons have just pulled their protection from us?”
Scott continues to ramble, cursing out the gang that left him high and dry. I take another mouthful of my pasta before setting my fork down.
One minute.
I take a final sip of water as Scott finally stops talking. It's not that the poor excuse for an Alpha has finally run out of profanities though.
It's because the concoction of poisons that I mixed into his pasta has already taken effect with fifty-two seconds remaining.
The sound of multiple vehicles pulling up into the driveway has me standing up from my seat.
Scott frowns up at me from his partially crunched over form. Pain is written across his features but even as the poison eats him from the inside out, causing his organs to fail one at a time, that doesn’t stop him from being a downright cunt.
“Sit the fuck down, Valenitna.”
