Pacing.
Needing.
And whatever he saw in Camillia De la Croix had my knees bending to join her on the couch, my hand moving to her hair without thought.
She hadn’t spoken.
She hadn’t even moved.
Perhaps aware that a true predator hunted her now.
I leaned forward to scent her.Mmm, my inner beast hummed in approval.Evening roses.Petals falling in the night, stirred by a sinfully decadent wind.I inhaled deeply, loving the way her arousal laced through her subtle perfume, giving it that sensuous layer.
She reminded me of Melek and Typhos. But softer. More sensual.Feminine.
I nuzzled her throat, stirring goose bumps along her flesh that I longed to chase with my tongue.
“Azazel.” Ajax’s voice fluttered through my mind, drawing my predator toward him as I placed a claiming palm against Cami’s flat stomach.
She was breathing quickly now, sending more of that delicious arousal into the air.
Desire. Heat. Yearning.
It made me want to lick her pulse and bite down.
Seeing Ajax standing only a few feet away, wet from his rushed shower with just a towel around his waist, had me growling in excitement.
“You got me a gift,” my Phoenix purred, pleased with the feminine offering. Ajax and I hadn’t seen to our needs the other day after sparring because other responsibilities had intruded on our playtime. It had left my animal unsated and hungry, a sensation only worsened by the failure of locating this girl’s father.
Which made Camillia a very appropriate gift for my Phoenix.
An alluring one.
My gaze went to her perky tits, proudly displayed through the thin white fabric, her nipples beacons for my mouth.
“She’s not a gift, Az.” Ajax spoke calmly but with a hint of steel in his voice. “She’s a bride candidate.”
My Phoenix rumbled a little, liking the sound of that. It’d been a long time since a female had appealed to my beast, their fragility typically a turnoff. But my animal recognized the warrior lurking beneath her skin, her burning energy one he wanted to explore with his own.
“Why is she in your room?” I asked, leaning in to scent her again. I closed my eyes, her fragrance deepening my hunger. Part of me wanted to eat her. The other part wanted toknowher.
I led with the latter part now, my palm gliding upward to cup her breast and stroke my thumb across her stiff peak. Her head fell back on a moan, her body curling into mine.
“Az.” Ajax pushed the coffee table out of the way and reached for my wrist. “Release her.”
“I don’t think she wants me to,” I murmured, my lips skimming her pulse.
“Fucking Phoenix,” he snapped. “Stop mauling the candidate.”
Camillia released a breathy little sound that had me chuckling against her neck. “Do you want me to stopmaulingyou, little warrior?” I asked, my thumb drawing a light circle around her taut nipple.
Her throat worked against my mouth as she tried to swallow. “N-no,” she stammered, her own hand covering Ajax’s against my wrist. She didn’t try to help him pull me away; she applied pressure instead, delighting my inner beast.
“You’re hypnotizing her,” Ajax accused, a low growl in his voice. “If you want to fuck, you can fuck me. Let her go.”
“I’m not hypnotizing her,” I whispered, my lips skating up to her ear for a little nibble. “I’m merely unwrapping my gift.”
“She’s not a fucking gift!”
