Page 87 of Forever My Siren Luna

My eyes went wide, then I soon matched Cedric’s enthusiasm, the both of us throwing our arms around Yasmin and jumping for joy.

“I’m going to be an uncle,” Cedric sang. “Can I name the tyke? I’m good at naming. I once named a pet turtle Lyle and he lived forever. He’s still swimming in the sea.”

“Don’t turtles naturally live long lives?” I rolled my eyes. “I doubt it was your naming abilities that prolonged it.”

“Do we really want to take that chance?” Cedric’s eyes glinted.

I smiled and just shook my head, turning my attention back to my friend. “I’m so happy for you and Percy.”

“Thanks,” she smiled. “Now you need to hurry along and have one too, so our babies can grow up alongside one another.”

My cheeks blushed at the mention of Lachlan and I having a baby.

“That is actually why I’m here,” I confessed. “I was hoping you could give me some advice?”

She tilted her face to the side. “About what?”

I bit my lip, feeling shy. “Mating,” I muttered.

Her eyes glinted and she clapped her hands. “It’s about time. Come in. Come in. I’ll tell you everything you need to know.”

“Can I help too?” Cedric smirked, now knowing what I was doing and why I was on my way over here.

“No,” I snapped.

“Come on. It might help to have a man’s opinion on things.”

Yasmin giggled. “He may be right.”

I groaned. “Fine. But if you mention my husband’s pirate parts again or suggest he has a female’s, I will order you out.”

Yasmin chokes on a laugh, but Cedric somehow manages to keep a straight face.

“I promise,” he said boldly, “on my pet turtle, Lyle.”

Twenty-Six

“You look so alluring, Ela,” Yasmin gushed, making me spin around in a circle in front of her mirror for the hundredth time. “I knew it would look perfect on you. It never looked right on me.”

“That’s because you have a fatter ass,” Cedric teased, lying across her bed with his head upside down. Yasmin smacked him with a pillow, making him grunt and laugh.

I felt so uncomfortable. Yasmin forced me to bathe completely, even calling maids over to wash my hair and polish every inch of my body before lathering me in this sweet smelling body oil. My hair was dried to perfection, falling in soft waves down my back when they were through. My skin felt raw when they finished scrubbing me, but now it felt fresh and powdery soft since the oil had absorbed into my body.

After that was completed, and she was completely satisfied with my appearance while I was still in the nude, she dug out a slinky outfit from her brothel days. It’s more modest than some of the others I have seen in her closet, but still far more scandalous than anything I have ever worn before. That was saying something, seeing as I lived as a pirate for several months, clothed by Beretta, who could make a potato sack seem immodest.

“I think I would rather just wear one of my own nightshirts,” I stared at myself awkwardly.

“Prude,”Val snickered in my head, preferring Yasmin’s outfit.

“You should wear one of your alpha’s shirts,” Cedric snickered. “Nothing underneath.”

“Knock it off,” Yasmin slapped him lightly. “She’s nervous enough as it is.”

“What? It was genuine advice. Men love that. Don’t tell me Percy doesn’t get all twinkly eyed with grabby hands when you wear his clothing.” He rubs her still flat belly. “I bet that’s how Lyle junior got put in here.”

“You are not naming my child after your turtle,” Yasmin huffed.

“What about Cedric junior then?”
