Don Caselli
I used to look at my brother and wonder why he was the way that he was. Why he was so cold, calculated, and would fly off the handle at a drop of a dime. The money was always nice, but I realized more came with that.
A lot came with the penthouse, cars, mansions, and jets.
So much that I knew, but then again, I didn’t really know until Menace decided I was ready to know.
I didn’t realize how much fucking crying and pussy footing these bitches did.
They were worse than fucking first graders while their teachers stepped out in the hallway.
Jett pulled up in front of the colonial style home in Long Island. I hopped out without waiting for him to open the door, and Beans was right behind me. Using my key, I entered the house and saw a few Case House girls. They already knew not to make small talk because I was here for a reason.
“Everybody has someone coming today?” Beans asked the questions that needed to be asked, while I made my way toward the kitchen.
“Hey Don, what?—”
His words were stopped when I wrapped my hand around his throat, pushing him into the fridge. I grabbed my gun from behind me, and slammed that bitch across his face, while stomping him out.
My custom Berluti dress shoes stabbed into his stomach as I kicked him. I shook my suit jacket from my body and finished whipping his ass, his blood getting all over my tailored shirt. I didn’t give a fuck that I had a meeting to get to after this.
“You said we pussy, Korbin? That’s what you said, right?” I spoke through the licks I was delivering onto his body.
“I…I never said that… I didn’t say that!” he wailed in pain, as the Case girls gathered around to look at what was unfolding in the kitchen.
“Nah, bitch… you said that shit. Beans, you heard him?”
“Crystal clear… called you a bitch, too,” Beans added, and although I knew those words never left his mouth, I was having a hard time separating what he said, and what he didn’t say, so he said everything, and he even called my mama an old hoe.
I removed myself from the pussy, as he remained cowered in the corner near the fridge. “You put your hand on one of our girls, you fucking get fucked up. You been here for a week, and said you not leaving, right?”
I ripped out the draws in the kitchen until I found the meat tenderizer, and his eyes became wide, as tears fell down them because he knew what was happening.
Snatching his hand up, I put it on the granite countertop and slammed the tenderizer down on all four of his fingers that held onto the counter.
“Stealing from the Caselli family is wild, bro’,” Beans added his commentary, as I continued to bash his fingers in, sending skin and blood everywhere.
When I got the call that Korbin told one of the Case House girls that he wasn’t leaving, I allowed it to rock because I wanted to handle it.
I knew my brother was capable, but I didn’t want to add more onto his plate.
Not when he trusted me to step up and handle family business.
I told them I would handle it the minute I touched back down in New York.
“I didn’t steal… I didn’t steal!” he hollered out, as he held his battered hand.
“Sitting up in this bitch for a week eating our food, using our water, and electricity… that’s stealing, bitch!” I grunted as I pulled my leg back and kicked his ass in the mouth, sending pieces of his teeth flying out of his mouth as he passed out.
Grabbing my gun, I cocked it back and emptied the shit in his chest and then sat it back down on the counter. “Get somebody to clean this shit up. Push your dates to the townhouse in Manhattan,” I told them, as I grabbed my jacket.
As quick as I arrived, I headed out, getting back into my truck and going to my next location. Beans got in on the other side, as I wiped the blood from my hand, and used the club soda in the back to get the blood out of my shirt.
“You fucking handled that shit.”
I continued to get the blood out of my shirt. “Reason I couldn’t stay longer with Pooh is because of his stupid ass.”
“Def could have used an extra day or two chilling with Grizzle.”
“Ask her ass out already… the fuck is this you both doing?” I pulled my laptop out the bag beside me and logged in, checking a few emails and making sure accounts were properly being cushioned with even more money.
Whenever I looked into the accounts, I felt like Neo in The Matrix with all the numbers floating around. The amount of money that entered the accounts in an hour and kept accumulating… it was impossible for us to go broke, even if we tried.
“Patience, nigga. I’m not trying to be on her like that… she’s fragile from her last relationship and got a lot of trust issues because of that. I want to be her friend before anything… I think I could fuck around and marry her, Don.”
“Word?”
“Greene… her fucking mind is amazing. I enjoy her personality and the fact that I have something to talk to her about. Usually, I be feeding bitches anything because pussy is the end game for me. Not with her. I have full ass conversations with her, and she be having a nigga thinking.”
I smiled at him. “They come from a good ass family. Pooh got me wanting to change that last name.”
“Serious?”
“Our future may have played out in my mind a few times. B, I don’t like being away from her, and that has never been me.”
“You be putting bitches out in the middle of the night.”
“Facts. With her, I could see us having a life together… just chilling and traveling the world.”
Beans gave me a look. “You know what comes with that.”
“Yeah.”
“Gotta let her in. Mrs. C doesn’t know the ins and outs, but she does know some shit. She knows about Case House and the majority of what Menace has the Caselli name into.”
“Letting somebody all the way in scares the shit out of me.” I closed my laptop, as we neared our destination.
Beans shrugged. “Can’t have forever without honesty. She don’t need to know everything, but if you thinking of marriage, she should know what her last name means.”
As soon as we pulled in front of the building, I spotted Duke and another security, as they followed behind Menace into the building. He wore a fitted Tom Ford suit, and his hands gripped a file in his hand, as Jeffie walked beside him.
He held the door open for her, following behind her as security fell in behind him. “Ready for this?”
Ken: We need to talk… don’t do this.
I ignored the text message, like I had been doing. Kennedy thought she had me in her palms because she knew I cared. The minute you showed me you didn’t give a fuck, I could show you how much I really never gave a fuck.
Jett came around the truck and opened the door for me, and I climbed out.
Checking my gun that was in my holster under my suit jacket, I headed inside.
Beans followed behind me as we avoided the security and metal detectors and headed straight to the elevators.
Pressing the top floor, we leaned back and allowed the elevator to take us to the desired floor.
“How you feeling?”
“Good.”
Beans held his hand out, and I dapped him as the elevator doors opened. We made our way down the hallway to the conference room. Checking my watch, I was five minutes early. According to Menace, if you were on time than you were late.
Rounding the corner, I saw Kennedy in the hall. Her arms were folded, and she was talking to her soon to be husband in his office. When she saw me, she couldn’t hide how her face lit up.
There used to be a time when I felt that same way and got excited when I heard her near. Alex turned to see what his fiancée was so stuck on, and he noticed me. Waving quickly, he closed the curtain in his office, and I entered the conference room.
“Hey Don,” Jeffie smiled when she saw me walk in.
Menace looked and nodded, checking his watch. “On time.”
There were a few other people in suits in the conference room with us. Menace made no move to make small talk or entertain them. He was strictly here because of me.
“Tell Alex he has five seconds to bring his little ass in here or I’m tossing fuckas out the window… ever flew before?” He leaned forward, his gold outlined tooth glistened.
The man popped up out the seat and quickly left to get Alex.
I got comfortable in my seat, as the remaining three quickly left to see what the holdup was with Alex. “Blood?”
“Had to handle something at Case House,” I replied, keeping it short because he didn’t need to know what happened.
“It’s handled?”
“Already know.”
There was this look in his eyes, a look of pride when I confirmed that it had already been handled. “How was St. Lucia?” Jeffie questioned.
“Nice… never knew we owned property there.”
“It’s nice?” Menace questioned.
It was a shame we owned so much property; some we may never make it to visit. “You should take Stevie and the baby… real nice.”
He nodded his head, messing with his beard. “And you went with Taupe’s cousin.”
Jeffie put her face in her hand. “Yeah… I got a favor to ask you both.”
“Anything,” Jeffie was there, ready to help and support in any way. It was the reason she was considered family.
“I’m cooking dinner at my place next week. I want you to meet Navy’s parents. Her family has welcomed me, and I want them to meet my family.”
“Of course, I would love to be there. Skyler may not come, but me, Corleon, and Estella will be there.” She smiled.
“She think I got roaches or something?”
Jeffie sighed. “Skyler is going through something… call herself wanting to date now. I love her, so I’m giving her space to figure things out without the pressure of me and Corleon. I’m there as her friend, sister, not as a sister-wife, you know?”
“She slow, and the quicker you all realize that shit you wouldn’t have to give her space,” Menace finally spoke. “They that important that you want me to meet them?”
“Navy is important to me, Mens… remember how you felt about Stevie?”
“Ain’t no felt … how I feel about Wonder,” he corrected me.
