I could tell from the way he was holding her that he had feelings for her.

Greene always spoke about him being nice to her, and always flirting with her, and hearing it was one thing.

Seeing how he stared down at her when she finally turned around to face him solidified it.

Her hair went one way while her body went the other way.

She was into her element, moving her body and letting loose.

Tossing my arms around Landon, I took my camera and turned it to face us. “How does it feel to be on my vlog?”

He kissed my lips. “You want the world to know you got a man, Bleu?”

I blushed, because the camera was shoved in his face, and he was only paying attention to me. I mattered in this moment, not my career or this camera. “Wouldn’t be a bad thing, huh?”

He flipped the screen down and held it. “Can’t be recorded like that, Pooh.”

“Will you explain why?”

“Soon.” He grabbed a handful of ass, and I was satisfied to be in his presence. Feeling something I hadn’t felt in my soul in a while.

Peace.

The feeling of his cool lips on mine, kissing me awake felt like I was on top of the world. His arms gripped me tightly as he continued to kiss me, wanting me to be in his skin. My eyes fluttered opened, and I kissed him back.

“Happy birthday, Pooh,” he said between kisses on my lips and neck, as I giggled, and hugged him around the neck.

“Thank you, baby. Why have you been up early every morning since we got here?” I kissed his cheek, as his lips found mine again.

His hand squeezed my ass, his favorite thing to do.

He loved squeezing my ass, and just randomly slapping it.

We spent yesterday at Sugar Beach and enjoyed the silence.

I read my book while he read a magazine about computers or software.

We didn’t need to have constant conversations, we just enjoyed being in each other’s space.

Greene and Beans went to do their own thing while we sat on the beach. I was sun burned, but I had no regrets this morning on my birthday. I smiled so wide as I looked at him admiring me.

“Did you think this would happen when you interrupted my reading at that dinner party?” I snorted.

“You was so smitten you put that book down and wanted to talk to me.”

I shoved him. “Whatever. You kept chatting and clearly you wanted to see what Navy Bleu was about.”

“Damn right I wanted to see what she was about.”

“Any regrets?”

“None… you?”

I winced. “You snore a little bit, but that’s alright. We don’t live together, so I don’t have to deal with it all the time.”

“Oh yeah?” he tickled me, and I fell back laughing.

My phone started ringing from behind him, and he reached and handed it to me. When I saw Antwan’s facetime call coming in, I rolled my eyes and showed him the phone.

“Answer… you were with him for a minute. You don’t just forget about someone you cared about birthday.”

I was surprised by his response and slid my finger across the screen. “Hey.”

“Happy birthday, baby.”

Before I could respond, Don snatched the phone and came into view. “Chill on the baby, my boy…. Say happy birthday and keep that shit respectful.”

He handed me the phone back and I busted out laughing in Antwan’s face. “This the shit you really on, Nav?”

“Her name Navy… cut those nicknames out, too.” He yawned, getting out the bed.

We slept naked, so I licked my lips while looking at how that dick hit that inner thigh. “What the fuck, Navy?”

I forgot that Ant was on the phone. “Thanks, Ant.”

“You really doing some hoe shit right now,” he ranted as I ended the call with him, because I didn’t have time to listen to him put his shit on me.

During our entire relationship I had remained faithful, loving only him and choosing him. He was the one who cheated on me and then continued to cheat. I stopped living for a while when it came to Antwan. Thinking of everything he wanted, and never thinking about what I wanted.

Laying in a beautiful villa in St. Lucia on my birthday with a man that was hung like a horse was exactly what I deserved. My phone started to ring again, and when I saw my mother’s facetime, I sat up and covered up with the blanket.

“Hi Mommy!”

“Happy birthday, Navy Bleu… my favorite hue of blue. I love you so much, Mamas.” It was rare that my mother called me mamas, but whenever she did, I always felt extra loved.

“Thank you, Mommy. I love you so much.”

She smiled into the camera while at work. I recognized her background, as she ran her hand through her hair. “I love you so much, too, baby. What do you have planned today?”

“What’s wrong?”

I was so in tuned with my parents that I knew something was wrong with her. She stared at the camera and smiled. “None of your business.”

“Mom, please… what’s wrong?”

“Work has been stressful. We were called to a scene of a home where there were neglected children… all were missing children. These kids were so malnourished, scared, and abused… takes a toll on you, babes.”

From her eyes, I could tell that she was tired.

My mother loved her job because she loved to help children.

I’d be lying if I said she didn’t take her work home with her.

Growing up, there were many nights she came through the door and the first person she found was me.

She’d smother me in kisses, making sure that I knew that I was loved.

I knew it was because she had seen something horrible at work and couldn’t shake it before she crossed the threshold of our apartment.

It was the reason I worked so hard.

I wanted to retire both my parents, so they could enjoy life. They both worked so hard, and they deserved to enjoy their life too. I almost felt guilty at times for traveling and being able to have this life while they were stuck at work.

“I’m sorry, Mommy.” I sat up, removing my hair from my face.

“It’s alright, babes… it’s life, huh?”

“Doesn’t make it hurt any less having to see those things.”

She sat up and smiled. “Anyway, I called to hear about all that you’re doing today. Where is Landy Pooh?” She had randomly started calling him that, and now she teased him.

I think he enjoyed it.

I watched him tucking his dick in the briefs that he put on and looked at the camera. “In the bathroom.”

“Oh, okay. Well, I wanted to tell you I wasn’t able to get tickets for that rapper you wanted to see… bitches sold it right out my cart.”

“It’s alright, Mommy. Maybe I’ll be invited by a brand or something.” I smiled because she wasn’t built for fighting for tickets for a concert.

Brixx Belle was a rapper that I had been following for a while.

She got her claim to fame when a video of her went viral while she was eight months pregnant.

On the video, she was standing on the stoop spitting some real shit that forced everyone to be quiet and watch.

While about to give life, she was out here giving us life.

She was underground at the time and went ghost for a while.

Her baby father used to be a rapper, but ended up becoming an A your body is telling me.”

I held his face and kissed his lips and then picked the book back up. “I’m excited to start this… thank you for doing this for me, Landon. The trip, the gift, and everything… you don’t know how much it was needed.”

“I knew exactly how much it was needed, which is why I did it. I like to fix things… solve problems, Pooh. So, when I see you have a problem, my solution is to fix it.”

“Being the solution can be draining at times, huh?”

“It’s life.”

“No, it can be draining… which is why I’m the feelings police. I ask those questions that you need to be asked.”

“Navy, that shit was corny.”

I laughed, snorting in the process. “Doesn’t matter.”

He kissed me a few times. “Greene has breakfast downstairs for you… go get some clothes on.”

Landon slapped my ass once more as I climbed out his lap and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day.
