“Fuck you. This is some bullshit. You need to get your bitch under control before I do. I’m being nice.” –Alauni
“That’s not my bitch.” –Latrell
Is he serious?
Irritated, I called him back. As soon as he picked up, I yelled, “Stop lying. She called me from your damn phone.”
“That’s because she took it while I was asleep.”
“Whatever. I don’t care when she took it. She’s there with you and just a few hours ago you were begging me to get back with you. Let you tell it, you don’t even talk to her ass anymore.”
“You told her that?” The girl yelled in the background.
“Move the hell back,” he shouted.
But she wasn’t trying to hear it. “No, you tell me what the hell is going on, Latrell. Are you still messing around with her?”
Returning his attention to me, he said, “We’re done, right?”
“What kind of question is that? You already know the deal.”
“Exactly, so why are we having this conversation?”
I looked into the ceiling, confused as hell. “She called me. It’s not the other way around.”
“Yeah, well, you just make sure you keep your nigga under control, and I’ll handle things over this way.”
Once again, I was confused. This fool had to be high off of some good shit because he was delirious as hell and saying anything that popped into his head. “You know what, fuck you and your hoe,” I blurted. “I don’t have time to play games.”
“No one is playing any games.”
“Oh, what do you call this?”
“Look, you’re seeing someone, I’m seeing someone. Now it’s all out on the table.”
“So, you’re finally admitting that you’re involved with this chick?”
There was a scuffle, and then a loud voice yelled, “Yes, bitch, he’sbeeninvolved with me, so take your ass on.”
“Hoe, I don’t know what bullshit he’s been feeding you, but I don’t want him. I gave his trifling ass the boot a long time ago. That fool ain’t nothing but baggage. You can have him.”
“Trifling?Baggage? Are you serious, right now?” Latrell said.
“You heard what I said. I didn’t stutter about a damn thing.”
“Wow, that’s really messed up.”
“Fuck you, and your feelings.” Wasting no time, I hurried to end the call.
My blood was boiling.
Seconds later, I received text after text. Some from him, and some from a number that I didn’t recognize. But I knew it was her. Both of them were spewing shit that made me want to hop on a plane and catch an assault charge. But instead of stooping to a level that wasn’t worth my time or energy, I simply blocked both of their asses.
If he wanted to talk to Layne, he knew how to contact her. Other than that, he could kiss my ass.
