Page 116 of Anything Goes
Laughing, she shook her head. “You definitely won’t be showing me anything. I know what you’re up to.”
“I’m not up to anything. I’m just trying to be a gentleman.”
“Yeah, a horny gentleman,” she whispered. “See, right now you’re trying to say all of the right things, so you can get me alone and do something that we don’t have any business doing. We can’t have sex everywhere, Law.”
“That’s not even what I’m on. I meant what I said back there.”
“Mmhmm. Look, I know we can’t get together tonight because Layne is with me, but I promise—”
“Would you quit acting like all I want is sex. We’re in a relationship. There’s more to us than that.”
“I know. I'm just saying that you don't have to use marriage as a way to get in my panties. I'll give you the panties anytime and anywhere. Well…not here…but you know what I mean.”
“I definitely know what you mean. I’m not lying about marrying you though. Just let me know when you’re ready.”
“Well, right now, I’m ready to get these liquids out of my system. So, unless you want everyone to see me piss on myself, I suggest you tell me where the bathroom is.”
“We definitely don’t want that,” I said before scooping her up from the ground and running her into the house.
The sound of her laughter tugged at my heart, making me fall more in love with her. If this is what I had to look forward to, I was ready to take in every second.
Just as Alauni turned to go into the bathroom, I pulled her back towards me, forcing her to let out a deep sigh. “Baby…”
Looking her in the eyes, I said, “I am going to ask you to marry me, so when that day comes, your ass better be ready.”
She stared at me for a moment, her eyes measuring the truth behind my words. When she finally felt at ease, she leaned against the door and nibbled on her bottom lip. “Don’t worry, Law Montgomery, I’ll definitely be ready. In fact, I’ll show you just how ready I plan to be.” Smiling, she yanked me inside and kicked the door closed behind me.
Her attempt to hold out until we left the party was officially a thing of the past. She was strong, but the chemistry between us was much stronger. It didn’t matter the time or the place, if we were alone, it was definitely going down…and I damn sure wasn’t going to do anything to stop it.
Why would I?
With Alauni…anything goes.
