Definitely not after that confession of his in the one bedroom apartment.

While letting Nathan cuddle against him—and enjoying those cuddles, too—Ken had checked the hotels nearby and found a four-star one with all amenities included.

He’d suggested that Nathan check in with him, but thought ahead to say he could take his laptop if he needed to do some work.

Ken couldn’t blame the boy for calling it nuts.

It was.

He ignored it.

“Do you like the room?” Ken had just started unpacking the bags while Nathan explored.

The suite was rather average, perfectly clean, all marbled surfaces with accents of gold that screamed luxury. Ken knew he was biased in his dismissal of the suite, too weathered by managing the design of too many hotels, which all looked rather the same.

“I mean, yes, of course.” Nathan poked his head out of the bathroom. Ken had seen it had a claw bathtub in the pictures online, but had yet to check it out for himself. “Do you? I feel like your opinion matters more than mine here.”

Ken chuckled. “And why’s that?”

“I don’t know. I bet you have a million fancy thoughts about the way they’ve built and put everything together, and I just… think it’s nice.”

Unable to help the fit of laughter, Ken left his duffel bag on the feet of the king sized bed for now, the boy a few feet too far from him much more appealing.

“Come here,” Ken encouraged.

He didn’t need to try too hard. Nathan wasn’t too grateful, a certain shyness still attached to his movements, but he obeyed easily, shifting until the tips of their shoes touched.

“Good boy,” Ken praised easily, fingers caressing Nathan’s freckled cheek, enjoying the way his boy trembled with need way too much.

“M-may I kiss you, Daddy?”

“You may, boy.”

He was impressed, too. Not only by the use of Daddy, but also the way Nathan wasn’t trying to bend the rule already, accidentally or not. Ken had seen the desire in his eyes all day, but not once had Nathan tried to sneak a kiss, to disobey.

It was something he’d have to ponder about later.

Perhaps after Nathan fell asleep later tonight.

Ken had always been too much of a night owl for a Dom, his brain definitely working more sharply after the sun had set.

Nathan’s lips were soft against his, the simple touch more tentative than Ken would’ve guessed from his profile. More confident than he would’ve expected once his words started plaguing him about the need to feel right in a dynamic.

The unspoken need of a home he could set roots in.

Ken could very well relate to that feeling.

“Are we going to spend all week here?”

“Would you complain if we did?” Ken teased.

He knew whatthatanswer would be, at least.

“Of course not.” Nathan even added a tiny snort at the end.

It was more adorable than it had any business being. Ken was starting to accept that was the way things were going to go with the boy in his arms.

“I’m in awe of your freckles,” Ken admitted before he was dropping soft kisses on the tip of his nose, mostly to hear Nathan’s giggle again.
