Page 107 of Wrestling with Daddy
“You really are a sucker for her,” Ken chuckled.
“I couldn’t move her! That would be cruel!”
“Yeah, because she would think twice about batting away one of your toys, or scratching your leg raw.”
“Not the same,” Nathan grumbled. “Anyway, let’s go get you changed, Daddy.”

Now that he saw Ken devouring his nachos, he knew he shouldn’t have worried. Daddy had even loved it when he’d first attempted to cook fancier recipes and not done so well with his fancy oven. This time he’d done good, though. Nathan knew that one shouldn’t say that about their own food, but he was right. He’d made Ana proud.
“Daddy, are we still visiting my parents next weekend?”
“Of course.”
Ken nudged his leg with a foot. His Daddy liked playing games while they ate more than any other Daddy he knew. Nathan thought he just did it to make him giggle.
It worked.
“And after that we’re helping at the resort?”
“I may have to leave for work, but I already cleared your registration for the pet training with Lee.”
Nathan bit his lip. After last year, Nathan had only left with the regret that he hadn’t spent the entire month there. Of course, as soon as his Daddy heard, he promised they’d make time for it the following year.
“Isn’t it silly?” He took his time munching on the tortilla chip. “I already have you, Daddy.”
“I don’t believe it is.” Daddy shrugged. “Besides, I’ll enjoy seeing you bark your heart out all month.”
Nathan sighed. They’d talked about this a bunch, but he couldn’t quite shake all the worries just like that. Excitement coursed through him too. It was just muddled by the fear that he’d freak out again. “Thank you, Daddy.”
“Even if I have to travel for a week or two, you won’t be alone, brat. You already know most of the staff there, and Ash is not going anywhere.”
“True.” He nodded. “He asked me the other day to help do a demo with him.”
“Sounds fun.” Given how unsurprised Daddy looked, Nathan was sure Lee had already informed him of the plan. “Are you excited?”
“Yeah.”
But Daddy would definitely have to give him a good flogging beforehand if he was going to leave.

“I love you.”
“Love you too, brat.”
Nathan huffed. “I told you I was a good boy today.”
“You, little troublemaker,” Ken booped his nose gently, very clearly holding on to his laughter as they waited for the rest of the gang, “are always going to be my brat.”
Huh.
Fine, Nathan couldn’t pretend to be mad when Daddy said things like that.
“Why are the people not here yet?” he pouted instead.
Lee, Ash, a few others from the resort, and some of Daddy’s friends from the club had all promised they’d be there.
