Page 87 of The Saviors: Part Two
“I literally hear Nolan blushing from here,” I say.
“His face is so red,” Cole laughs.
“Okay, in position. I just want to add you guys are a bunch of nasty fuckers,” Micah adds dryly.
“Them? Didn’t you have Van’s cock down your throat in the bathroom at our last cookout at Les’?” Mateo throws in.
“Didn’t you let Gray fuck you beside the house while everyone was in the pool?” Micah retorts.
“What?!” Les exclaims.
“I’m at the wrong parties,” I add, making everyone laugh.
“Don’t forget I finger-fucked Evie under the table that same night,” Hart says, and Evie’s eyes widen. When her face blooms with color, Les’ eyes narrow.
“What kind of party was this?” Cole asks. “I didn’t know it was a fucking free for all.”
“It wasn’t that kind of party, nasty ass. They just made it that way, and I’m appalled,” Les replies.
“Bright eyes? You remember when Zane and I finger-fucked you in the pool with everyone there?”
“Shit,” Les mutters. “Whatever.”
“Let’s move,” Zane says, cutting off any more of the conversation.
“Going dark,” Sean says, and I know he’s already moving.
“Same,” Ghost replies.
We listen as each team approaches the warehouse, me with my heart in my throat. Even the alcohol isn’t dulling the nervousness, but the more the guys chatter, the better I feel knowing they’re okay. Cole reports in that he has one of the guys subdued to question, and then Ryder chimes in, saying he has one as well.
That’s when we hear a weird crackle come over the comms and then a loud explosion. Holden comes busting into the room, grabs his laptop, and starts clicking like crazy.
When he turns it around for us to see, that’s when I notice all of their trackers are offline.
Chapter28
Nolan
Ijerk the earpiece out of my ear when that explosion almost busts my ear drums.
“Report in,” Axel barks. We know it’s not from our warehouse because we haven’t even made the final move yet since Sean still hasn’t finished his sweep. Axel casts a worried look at me when no one answers. I put my earpiece back in, and it’s too silent.
“I don’t think they’re working,” I whisper.
“Go back to the truck and call someone,” he orders.
I run back and grab my phone from the console. I try Zane first, and it goes straight to voicemail. I go through my list of every guy with us, and every phone is going to voicemail. Did Charlie do this? If so, what and who did he blow up? A sick feeling settles in my stomach as I dial Chelsea, only to get the same thing. I look at my screen and frown when it’s showing a perfect signal. I shove it back in my pocket and make my way back to Axel.
“None of the phones are working either,” I inform him. “I think he’s blocked us somehow.”
“Can you pull up trackers?”
I pull my phone back out and go to the tracker app Holden set up. All trackers are grayed out, showing us offline. I flash the screen at Axel, and the look on his face makes my worried feeling intensify. “What do we do?”
“Go back to the car and wait. I’m going to go find Sean, Kai, and Cole.” He goes to walk away, and I grab his arm to stop him.
“You aren’t going alone.”
