Page 10 of The Saviors: Part Two
She pops a kiss on my forehead. “Yes. Now rest.”
It doesn’t take long for my eyelids to start drooping. I fight it for as long as I can, but eventually, I’m pulled under.
Still wondering where my family is.

“Damn,Gorgeous. You look good enough to eat.” I nibble at her neck, and she giggles. I pull back and look into those green eyes. “I love you.”
She wraps her arms around my neck. “I love you too.”
I kiss her, pushing all my love into this one kiss. Kissing her like my life depends on it. The longer I kiss her, the more something feels off. I pull back, and her eyes are no longer bright and happy. They’re tired and sad. “What’s wrong?”
“You have to help me, Sean.”
“Help you with what?” She pushes away from my chest, and I try to grab her arm, but my fingers go right through her. “What’s going on?”
“You can’t let him win.”
“Who, Gorgeous?”
“Brady.” She starts flickering in and out like a TV screen. What the fuck is going on? “Help me.”
“I don’t know what’s going on to help! Please tell me!” She disappears completely, and I spin in a circle. “Chelsea!”
“Sean!”
I jerk awake, gasping for air. My eyes are rapidly trying to take in everything at once when they finally land on Evie’s concerned face. “You were dreaming.”
“I saw her,” I say hoarsely, on the verge of tears. “I saw Chelsea.”
She wipes her hand across my sweaty forehead. “What did you see?” I explain the dream to her, and she gives me a sad smile. “We’ll find her, Sean.”
Holden comes into the living room, looking like shit. “I haven’t gotten a hit anywhere. Not here, not Grover, and not fucking Abbs Valley.”
“He knows we would be after him,” I answer, pulling myself to sit up on the couch. I wiggle my toes and realize that I can feel them now. “Charlie would have told him to hide. Did you hear from the others?”
Holden shakes his head. “No. But they were found in the middle of nowhere, so it’s going to take them some time to get out. Their trackers are still blinking.” He looks between Micah and Van. “I had an idea, though.”
“What’s that?” Micah asks.
“We could go lean on Brady’s dad.”
Why the hell didn’t I think about that? “Let’s go.”
“Not happening. We’ll send your other team, but you aren’t going,” Micah argues.
“I’ll be damned.” I swing my legs around and stand up. “See? I’m good. Let’s move.”
“Sean, they almost had to carry you from the bathroom. You need—”
I hold my hand up to cut Evie off. “I’m going with or without you guys. I’m good for a while now.” I kiss her cheek to take the sting out of my words. “I need to do this.”
Micah sighs and gets to his feet. “Whatever. It’s your funeral. Go get dressed.”
I rush as fast as I can to put my gear on, and then we’re out the door with Ari’s team staying back with Evie. I can tell Micah isn’t happy with this turn of events, but I can’t sit in the house anymore.
The ride to Grover is quiet, and when we pull over a mile from Judge Stinson’s house, the sun is just starting to set. Micah turns around to look at me from the driver’s seat. “Are you good enough to do that creepy shadow thing? This house is locked up tight.”
