Page 73 of The Saviors: Part Two
“I see I’ve missed some key points here,” Gage says. “Chelsea, add me to the girls’ group chat. I need details.”
“Hell to the no,” Les says. “That is for our eyes only.”
“I’ll just have Holden hack into it.”
“Holden would never do that to me.”
“How do you know?”
“Because I already tried that,” Ryder replies. “I was very convincing, too, and he still told me no.”
Sean bats his eyelashes at Nolan. “What about you? Do this for us, and I’ll let you do the thing again.” Nolan is already shaking his head with a smile.
“What thing?” Gage asks, all ears. “Goddamnit! Someone tell me something!”
“This is going to drive him insane, and I’m here for it,” Zane says dryly. “You don’t need to know everything, Crazy boy.”
“Yeah, the fuck I do.”
“Look alert,” Axel cuts in. “We’re almost there, and we don’t need any surprises.”
“Ghost? You there?” Les asks.
“Yep. Ready whenever you are.”
We turn off the main highway, and I see a black Challenger that looks almost identical to mine. Ghost gives us a nod as we drive by, and I see Caden crouched on the other side. “What are they doing?” I ask.
“Caden and Nik somehow got ahold of spike strips,” Dex answers. “The twins are around here somewhere.”
“Lurking in the corners like the creepy fuckers they are,” Gage adds.
“Don’t let Bridget hear you say that. She’ll kick your ass again,” Les laughs.
“I let her win,” Gage says defensively. “They would have killed me if I hurt their precious redhead.”
“Moving through,” Ryder cuts in. “Watch this shit.”
I turn around in the seat and watch Ryder and then Axel’s truck pass by Ghost. I also see the SUVs behind them trying to keep up. Caden throws the spike strips, and the SUV slams on the brakes. The one behind that one starts to back up, and a white Escalade pulls in behind them, blocking them off. Another big SUV blocks them from following us. Nik jumps out from that one, and the twins from the white one. They start dragging them from the cars, and I turn quickly back around when I see Lex pull a knife from his sheath. I don’t even have to ask to know what’s about to happen.
“Just breathe, Ladybug. We’re almost there.” I blow out a harsh breath and try to relax my shoulders. Cole’s hands start digging into the muscle. “When we get there, you can take a long hot bath, and I’ll give you a massage.”
“That sounds amazing.” He continues rubbing my shoulders until we’re pulling through the gated property. Axel drives until a cute little house comes into view. “This is what they call a cabin?”
“Rich people,” Sean laughs. “To anyone else, this would be a house.”
Micah walks onto the porch, his eyes going everywhere. We step out of the car, and I want to kiss the freaking ground. “Hi,” I say, giving him a little wave.
He smiles, and I swear it transforms his entire face. “Hey. Evie said to give you her love.”
“I’ll message her later,” I reply. Axel wraps his arm around my shoulders and ushers me into the house. “Where is Les?”
“She’s hiding the cars until we’re clear.”
Van walks in and gives me a tight hug. I squeeze him to me, still thankful that he’s the one who found me in the woods that night. “We’re taking the SUV you guys drove here. There is one parked out back for you to use if you need it.”
“Thank you,” I say sincerely. “For everything.”
“Thank you for taming these assholes.”
