Story: Stars In His Eyes

"Ah, don’t wrong me!" Lin Chan cried out innocent over the phone, "We’re so far apart, how could I possibly know what your He Mutou is up to?"

"You definitely know, you and my brother are definitely hiding something from me!" He Zhilan was absolutely certain, "Let me think! I came back from the hospital yesterday, and he resigned on my behalf the same day! There must be a reason for this~ Is it because of my health?"

Lin Chan was dumbfounded, thinking to himself, does He Zhilan have to be so clever?

"Not at all~ Your He Mutou probably just wants to spend the noon with his little wifey too.

Look, there are only twenty-four hours in a day, minus the time for sleeping and the daytime you guys are at work, how much time can you two spend together each day?

So, he must be wanting to spend more time with you. "

"Nobody would believe that nonsense," He Zhilan sneered, did He Teng, that wooden head, could really have such romantic ideas? Only if the sky falls down~ or maybe if tomorrow is doomsday.

"Lin Chan, tell me honestly, am I sick?" He Zhilan sighed, a person can’t help but overthink, "Is it because I was hospitalized yesterday, and the doctor discovered I have some incurable disease?

A terminal illness? Cancer? Not much time left?

So, my brother decided to resign for me to stay more at home, and he wanted to spend more time with me? "

"What nonsensical things are you saying?" Lin Chan spat out his tea, "Do all you women love to overthink so much? Rest assured, you’re perfectly healthy, living till a hundred years old won’t be a problem.

"Really?" He Zhilan was skeptical.

"Really! A hundred times for real!"

"Oh, then I’m hanging up." Saying that, He Zhilan actually hung up the phone, without saying another word.

In the capital, listening to the beeping sound, Lin Chan was truly torn between laughter and tears, a couple hanging up the phone, one and the same!

At noon, when He Teng came back, He Zhilan had already cooked the meal, eating from a bowl at the dining table. There were no extra bowls or chopsticks on the table. He walked over, circled around, didn’t find any, and just went to the kitchen on his own.

"He Teng." He Zhilan called out to the person entering the kitchen, "I’m still angry, so there’s no lunch for you! If you want to eat, go to the cafeteria yourself!"

He Teng in the kitchen was momentarily stunned, walked out, then watched as He Zhilan leisurely drank half a bowl of soup and promptly collected her dishes into the kitchen to wash them, not even glancing his way, then returned to the bedroom.

"Zhilan~" He Teng wiped the sweat off his forehead and followed her into the bedroom, "Are you still angry? It’s been half a day!"

"I’m angry at you, don’t call me." He Zhilan turned away, ignoring He Teng.

He Teng chuckled, shaking his shoulders, "Are you really going to be angry for so long?"

"You can still laugh?" Hearing the laughter in He Teng’s voice, He Zhilan couldn’t bear it any longer, turned around, glared at He Teng, and threw a pillow from the bed at him as he was at the door.

He Teng comfortably caught the pillow with one hand, walked in, tossed the thing in his hand onto the bed, and walked towards He Zhilan. Not caring about He Zhilan’s cold face, he directly pulled He Zhilan into his arms.

"So tell me, how long are you going to be mad?" He Teng held He Zhilan’s hand and pressed it against his chest, "Hit here until you’re not angry anymore."
