Story: Stars In His Eyes

He Zhilan lay on the bed, her eyes aimlessly wandering around the room, but in her mind, she was thinking about He Teng taking a shower in the bathroom. She had a feeling that ever since He Teng returned from Qiao City, he had changed quite a bit.

It seems that Sister Lin’s move had really affected He Teng, with Fang Ran, this potential love rival, genuinely getting under his skin.

Of course, He Zhilan would never know that the real love rival He Teng had in mind wasn’t Fang Ran, but Zhou Hongjin, an old flame who had been fond of He Zhilan for many years.

It was Zhou Hongjin’s words that made He Teng realize he had to keep a closer eye on He Zhilan, or his beloved wife might get snatched away by the wolves outside.

So, never doubt the emotional intelligence of a military genius.

A block of wood might not always remain a block of wood; there’s a good chance it could turn into a smart piece of timber!

Exiting the bathroom, He Teng saw He Zhilan obediently lying on the bed rolling around, waiting for him. His eyes involuntarily softened with a hint of amusement.

He walked over and lay down next to He Zhilan. She was so wrapped up in her thoughts and rollicking about that she didn’t notice someone beside her until she rolled over to He Teng’s position and bumped into his body, finally snapping back to reality.

"How come you didn’t make a sound?" He Zhilan looked at He Teng, then stood up high and took the quilt that she had been pressing down, got into it, and then shuffled closer to He Teng’s side.

"It looked like you were having a lot of fun rolling around." He Teng responded matter-of-factly, secretly thinking not to disturb the simple pleasures of a naive twenty-something-year-old.

When He Zhilan and He Teng were together, they often acted as childishly as a three-year-old. Sometimes, when He Teng looked at He Zhilan, he really felt like he was facing his daughter.

"I was thinking about you!" He Zhilan blurted out in response, from under the covers, lifted her foot, and gently kicked He Teng, "Don’t think I didn’t hear the mockery in your voice!"

At this moment, He Teng laughed softly, and his foot moved along too, promptly pinning down He Zhilan’s foot which she hadn’t had the time to retract.

Originally, he just wanted to have some fun with He Zhilan before sleeping, but the big man who had abstained for three years after experiencing pleasure felt a stir upon touching the smooth skin of He Zhilan’s foot, and Little He Teng promptly stood to attention.

Then, without a second thought, He Teng rolled over, pinning He Zhilan beneath him, and the increasingly firm and spirited Little He Teng rested against He Zhilan’s abdomen.

"Are you tired from work today?" After pinning He Zhilan down, He Teng didn’t do anything else but suddenly asked about her day at work.

"Not tired." He Zhilan shook her head, looking puzzled.

"Is work busy tomorrow?" He Teng continued to ask.

"Not much work tomorrow." He Zhilan replied honestly.

"Not much work? Does that mean you can take the day off from the translation agency?" This was He Teng’s third question.

He Zhilan nodded, "Brother, what exactly are you trying to ask?"

"Nothing much." He Teng looked at He Zhilan with profound meaning and then said, "Take a leave tomorrow then!"

"Why?" He Zhilan was almost pleading with He Teng not to speak in riddles.

He Teng didn’t immediately answer He Zhilan, instead reaching out to unfasten the buttons of her nightgown, then spoke unhurriedly, "Because you will be very tired tonight."
