“It’ll maybe… feel like it doesn’t fit,” Jesse added, feeling his face burn once more as he tore open the wrapper and rolled the condom on.

The foil crinkled in his fingers before he tossed it to the floor, too focused on Jamie to care where it landed.

“But it will. Just… take your time, and I’ll try not to – to push, okay? ”

“O-okay,” Jamie said again, his wide eyes lighting with curiosity and anticipation.

It was now or never. Jesse smoothed the rest of the oil over himself, and then gently began to press in .

At once, Jamie let out a cry, his body tensing in Jesse’s hold. “J-Jesse!” he yelped.

Jesse froze.

God, it hurt to freeze. It took every ounce of self-control to not push himself in further, but he fought it. He managed to stay still despite his body screaming otherwise, his thumbs tracing something like soothing circles over Jamie’s hips.

“It’s… it’s okay,” Jesse let out through clenched teeth. “Just… try to relax and – and take your time.”

Jamie nodded, and let out another moan as he shifted his weight.

Very slowly, he managed to adjust to Jesse’s size.

The movement was impossible to ignore. Jesse couldn’t stay still any longer, moving his hips in time with Jamie’s. He wrapped his arms around Jamie, taking in a deep breath—as something seemed to click in his mind.

With a determined movement, he pushed himself all the way in.

An unexpected, sharp pain shot through Jesse’s chest, ripping a loud groan from his lips. His breath caught in his throat as he found himself paralyzed for a moment, a stab of fear overcrowding his senses. But then, as quickly as it had come, the pain ebbed away.

Panting for air, Jesse tried to recall if something like that had ever happened before (it had not), when he suddenly realized that Jamie seemed to be struggling massively.

He was shaking and gasping for breath, his eyes were squeezed shut, and he was biting down hard on his bottom lip.

A wave of guilt crashed over Jesse as a terrifying thought came over him.

He might have hurt Jamie.

“Are you…” he rasped. “Are you okay?”

“I – I’m okay,” Jamie groaned out, rasping out a few more deep breaths as he forced his eyes open and offered a strained smile. “Don’t – don’t worry about me. Just… keep going.”

Jesse nodded, still a little bewildered about what had just happened, and placed a gentle kiss on Jamie’s forehead .

But the strange pain in his chest was gone, and the initial shock for Jamie was over. From now on, it would be easier.

Wrapping his arms around Jamie once more, Jesse carefully shifted them on the bed until Jamie was laying underneath him again, his legs wrapped around Jesse’s hips.

Their lips found each other, and as much as Jesse tried to keep his pace gentle and slow, he soon couldn’t help but start to thrust as Jamie moaned in pleasure beneath him.

Jesse lost himself, letting the wave of ecstasy carry them forward.

After some more deep thrusts, though, a sudden cold cut through all the heat.

Jesse shivered at the sensation, drawing in a gasp—and opening his eyes, he was startled to see Jamie transforming right in front of him .

The change in color started at the roots of his hair, like it always did, the white spreading down like snow on a mountain until it reached the tips.

Jamie’s eyes fluttered open, as if surprised by Jesse’s hesitation.

They were crystal icy blue.

“Why’d you stop?” he panted, his chest heaving.

“Are you – are you okay?” Jesse asked, panting just as heavily.

Did Jamie even know that he’d changed?

Jamie blinked at him slowly, a flicker of confusion crossing his face. “I… feel so… strange, ” he muttered.

“…Strange in a good way?” Jesse asked, slowly starting to ease back.

“Y-Yes,” Jamie muttered. “It – it feels… amazing. Keep going.”

Jesse still didn’t know if Jamie even realized what had happened.

Somewhere in the back of his head, he knew they should stop, right now.

That he should tell Jamie that something very unnatural was going on.

But… he honestly didn’t want to. He didn’t want to destroy this beautiful moment, didn’t want to spoil their first time, Jamie’s first time. Not like this.

So Jesse obeyed Jamie’s wish to continue, still mesmerized by what he saw, forcing himself to keep his eyes open, so as not to miss even one second of the mystical sight before him.

And this time, it didn’t stop at changing colors .

As Jesse continued with his movements, small specks of white appeared all over Jamie’s body, a slight coldness drifting from them. More and more tiny particles formed on Jamie’s quivering skin, and as Jesse’s thrusts grew more intense, they began to float up to fill the air around them.

“Jesse,” Jamie rasped, trembling wildly and reaching up to place his hands on either side of Jesse’s neck, holding onto him as if trying to ground himself. “I – I feel like I’m… about to explode!”

For a split second, in his confusion regarding the white particles in the air, Jesse thought Jamie meant this literally. But then he understood, and couldn’t help but smirk, feeling his own climax being close as well.

“Don’t worry,” he hummed into Jamie’s ear. “That’s exactly what’s supposed to happen.” Panting in a couple more deep gulps of air himself, Jesse then reached for the final part of Jamie’s body he had yet to touch, grasping it in his hand. “I’ll help you to… explode .”

Jesse went for another heated kiss, leaning in close once more, and combined with the determined movements of his hips, it didn’t take more than a few pulls to send the other over the edge.

Jamie let out a cry of intense pleasure, squeezing his eyes shut as his body quivered all over, sinking his nails deep into the skin on Jesse’s back.

At the same time, the particles that were floating around them burst into what looked like millions of tiny stars, flooding Jesse’s vision like cold, white fireworks—and with one last thrust, they both got their release.

Letting out a loud moan and with his chest heaving, Jesse dropped to lie down on Jamie, riding out the high as Jamie did the same beneath him, both enjoying the intimate moment a little longer.

It had been so long since Jesse had had this feeling.

And he’d never experienced anything more beautiful.

Eventually, when he came back to his senses, Jesse moved his head to check on Jamie.

He was still breathing heavily, and his face was still red, but he seemed to be doing well.

He fluttered his icy blue eyes open, and catching Jesse watching him, he let out a slight, breathless laugh.

“That… that was n-nice,” he said quietly. “Can we do that again, tomorrow?”

Jesse had to chuckle at the question, placing a tender, lingering kiss to Jamie’s lips. “If you want to.”

Jamie laid his head back against the pillow with a deep, happy sigh.

And somehow, that felt even better than the sex itself.

Jesse carefully laid down next to Jamie, letting himself just… exist. The future didn’t matter right now; all his fears and worries felt so far away, and the pressures of the world meant nothing. All that mattered right now was that they were both here, and they were both happy.

Jesse didn’t know how long he’d laid there, drifting happily in a state of half-waking.

And he wasn’t sure exactly what it was that woke him back up, either.

He felt… strange. Jesse rolled onto his side, his gaze falling on Jamie. He had fallen asleep by now, his breathing quiet and relaxed as he slumbered peaceful next to Jesse.

Who was he…?

What was he?

And why—

Jesse didn’t get to finish the thought. The sharp and piercing pain in his chest that he had felt earlier suddenly struck him again—and it was much worse than before.

The wave of pain was so intense that he couldn’t even breathe, his lungs screaming for air inside of him but finding no relief from his gasping.

What the fuck was happening!?

“J-Jamie,” he panted, desperate for help. “Jamie, w-wake up… please…”

But for the first time since Jesse had known him, Jamie slept soundly.

Jesse clutched at his chest with shaking fingers, unable to move or make another sound. This time, it took a lot longer for the pain to begin to fade, pulsing through his body as if carried along by the blood in his veins.

His phone. He had to get to his phone, he had to call someone for help.

Stretching out his arm, he reached towards the bedside table.

The distance felt like a canyon, but he finally reached it.

Wrapping his shaking fingers around the phone, he started trying to pull it towards him—when the pain suddenly shot through his body for a third time.

And god, how it burned! Fire shot up and down the bones of his arms and pricked at his fingers like piercing needles, as his heart skipped and raced erratically in his chest. In the onslaught of his pain, his fingers seized up, and the phone slipped from his grasp and dropped uselessly down onto the ground.

“F-fuck,” Jesse rasped. He tried to reach for the phone again, but it made the pain in his chest feel overwhelming.

He couldn’t do it.

He couldn’t move.

Black began to crowd in the edges of his vision, dragging him into what felt like a heavy and thick darkness. And with the terrifying feeling that he might never wake up again, Jesse slipped into unconsciousness, and the pain was suddenly gone.
