He glances to where Mikey is, but he can’t see us from the living room. His hand slides to the back of my neck, pulling me to him. “Come here.”
Licking my lips, I tip my face up to meet his. He presses a gentle kiss to my lips, breaking away much too soon.
“See you later, beautiful.”
I nod, letting him step away this time.
“That’s where we should go,” I say when he walks through the door.
“Huh?” He studies me, brows furrowed.
“Our next date. We should go to the Kitty.”
His face relaxes, his smile indicating he’s intrigued. “Is that so?”
“Yeah. We can see who can hold their liquor better,andsee some hot girls.”
His smile widens, revealing his thoughts.Men. Sheesh.
“What? A woman can appreciate another woman’s body without wanting to bang her, you know.”
“I hear you, Miss Hunter… and you’re on.”
He backs away, grinning at me the entire time. I watch him turn and head to his bike, waiting until he rides away before I go back inside. Smirking to myself, I check on Mikey and then return to the kitchen. After a few drinks and being in a room full of hot, naked women, he’ll be so tightly wound I won’t have to lift a finger to finally get him where I want him. In fact, he’ll be the one begging to get me in bed.
Just a few more days, Ellen.
This might just be the best idea I’ve ever had.
CHAPTER 7
***Ellen***
I haven’t seen Einstein in over a week; he’s been busy with work, the club, and filling in for Gage with the businesses he owns. It sucked. It was probably for the best since my period showed up. I would have been frustrated to no end being around him and knowing I couldn’t have him. I have to admit I’ve missed him. We’ve talked every day, though. He calls me if he can find a free minute at work, or before he goes to bed.
I can’t blame it all on him, as I’ve been busy, too. Ellen’s Events is well on its way to grand opening day. I’ve met with the interior decorator and applied for all the licenses and permits I need, with the help of Gage’s lawyer. Just as I hoped it would, it’s given me a new outlook on life. I feel so invigorated, like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I even started using the gym equipment at the house. It’s always been there, but I haven’t been in that room the entire time I’ve lived in the house, other than to clean.
I’m on the way to pick up Mikey from school when my phone rings. Einstein’s voice comes through the speakers, and the mere sound brings a smile to my face.
“Hey, beautiful.”
“Hey. What’s up?”
“You free tonight?”
I fight to hold back an excited giggle.
“Depends.”
“On what?”
“If it means I’ll see you.”
“I got someone to cover my shift tonight. I need to see you, Ellen.”
Holy crap. Heneedsto see me.I shift in my seat as my own needs begin to surface.
“I’ll see if Daddy can watch Mikey.”
