Page 105 of Ondine: Vol. 2
Maybe this wasn’t the best time to meet with those people. Since I’m so close to my heat—everything is so important and extreme. Freddie holds onto me like I’m dying. And I kind of feel like I am. Or maybe the opposite. Maybe I’m shedding my old fears, my old self.
The idea that I can start fresh with this pack is enough to get me to calm down. When I raise my head, I find all of them surrounding me.
Freddie says to me, “The past is best handled by killing it and moving on. You won’t have to be alone or fight for attention. You never have to suppress your nature. You’ll never be too needy for me. We have you, Ondine. We have you. And we love you, all of you. All the parts of you.”
Every single one of them looks at me with such love and conviction and I stay brave and look at them back. Accepting their love.
I nod and we leave.
I already have the key to the estate. It’s about an hour’s drive outside the city to the west. We drive right out there in Shadow’s SUV. We stop and get burgers and sodas, so our mood improves.

Ondine’s country house might actually be the one from my dreams. I always wanted a big pack and when I pictured them, they were here in this house. We meet the beta staff, which Ondine views as basically family.
Cary, Janine, and Robin take us on a tour and I start my list of everything that needs to be worked on. Sebastian’s emotions through the bond get lighter and airier and more excited. This is his ultimate playground. Shadow nearly falls over when he sees the library.
I get the papers from their lawyer and look through them on my phone. The debts aren’t bad. It’s mostly unpaid wages, which I can take care of right away. The taxes and lien can be handled as well, straight away.
Arnie takes Ondine to the nest and I trail behind. It’s cold, as this part of the house has been locked up, but it’s huge. A proper nest. Arnie is confident he can get it ready tomorrow. I order a couple of moving trucks. And groceries to be delivered. I text Emmerson and he is interested in the change of location. He says he’s been looking to get off the peninsula.
Freddie tells Arnie about all the trails nearby he can see on his app, leading him away so he can point into the distance at them. But Arnie just wants to get back to planning out the security system he wants to install right away. I knew that freak would like surveillance.
Ondine then takes my hand and leads me to an office.
“For you! I can see you working here. There’s a smaller one attached. Maybe for Sebastian?” She looks so hopeful. It warms my heart.
“This is perfect. It already feels like home.”
She smiles at me in a way I’ve never seen.
“I know it’s not near an airport, so I hope that won’t be a problem.”
“It’s not a problem”
She leaves my arms and runs a finger over an old desk pushed up against a wall.
“You’ll need new furniture. I don’t think the height is right for this one.” And then she bends down and lays her chest on the desk, propping up her ass in my direction.
“Naughty, naughty omega,” I admonish as I step up to her. I press her down further into the desk with my splayed palm. With my other hand, I rub the curve of her ass.
The staff have already gone home for the day, being excused by their favorite person in the whole world, little Ondine.
“You still want to be my office pet?”
“Yes, sir.”
And now my dick is hard.
“I like playing these games with you, baby.”
She sighs as I glide my hand over her pussy and ass. I’m going to get the perfect desk for this. One with loops for straps.
But this is good for now.
“How do you want to come? With my fingers? With my mouth? Or on my cock?”
“I get to choose?” She says with her light, breathy voice. I continue to pet her ass and thighs.
