Page 12 of Meek: Chasing That Gangsta Love
“ T his shit is nice in here!” I yelled over the music as Reesie danced in front of me wearing nothing besides a short black dress not leaving anything to the imagination.
We’d been working hard, and it was only right that we finally made ourselves available for some fun tonight.
We were at one of the biggest annual pack jams in Miami.
Everybody who was somebody was up in this bitch.
“It is, huh?” She turned around wrapping her arms around my neck.
“You want another drink?” I asked her.
“Patron on the rocks will do.”
I walked off toward the bar ignoring the thirsty ass looks from plenty of females on the way.
I was a young flyy nigga, but I wasn’t looking for another girl although I could if I wanted.
It was so hot up in the spot it was starting to smell like musk and hair spritz.
I went to the bar to order, only to find the damn line wrapped around the corner so I decided to drain the main vein and come back.
I handled my business, washed my hands, and checked myself out in the mirror.
This custom-made Burberry fit was on point; I tried to get a matching fit for Reesie, but she insisted on wearing that little black dress.
I walked out the restroom and had to stop for a minute, distracted by the chick that stood a few feet away with her back turned.
She was wearing the fuck out of a crème Prada dress and the way her hair flowed down her back, I knew it had to be hers.
I wasn’t looking for another girl, but it wasn’t any real nigga up in here that could stop themselves from looking at those curves.
I shook my head and walked past her only to be bumped by her on accident as she tried to take a step back.
“Shit.” I grabbed her to stop her from stumbling over my shoe. “My bad baby.”
“Damn. It’s okay.” She grabbed my arm and caught her balance looking up at me.
Mannnnnn, I nearly hit the floor when I looked into her eyes. “Kisha?”
She looked up at me and smiled, oh how I missed that pretty smile of hers. She looked good, damn good and well taken care of. Much different from the last time I saw her. I told her, she was beautiful but once she found that inner beauty, she was gonna be a bad bitch.
“Meek!” She damn there jumped in my arms hugging me. “Oh my God, Meek! I’ve been looking for you!” She said all excited.
I squeezed her back when I hugged her; nothing felt better to me at this moment, to know that she was okay.
“You forgot about a nigga Kish. I waited for you to call me for months and you never called. That’s fucked up Kisha.
” I said looking into her pretty eyes. Those same pretty eyes I told her bitches would die to have.
She fanned her eyes to stop from crying. “I lost your number at the group home and my life was rough after that.” She said. “My life was hell Meek, I’ll never forget about us…you know that.”
“Well, I’m glad to see you doing much better baby girl. You don’t know how this made my night right here.” I couldn’t stop smiling.
“Who you here with Meek?” She asked me looking around.
Damn, my heart was pulling right now. All kind of inside feelings that I kept locked in were coming back to surface as I looked in her face. I thought about Reesie who was still waiting on a drink. “I’m here with my girl. She’s somewhere in here waiting for a drink.”
I couldn’t make out the look on her face, but she continued smiling and I could tell she was genuinely happy to see me.
“I’m so happy for you Meek. I went back to the Projects looking for you about two months ago and the door was boarded up.
I’m glad to see you’re not doing too bad yourself.
” She said looking at my outfit along with the ice around my neck.
“Yeah, I left my mama’s apartment a while ago and she moved a short time after. I lived downstairs for a while but not long before I moved. I live on the upper Eastside now. Where you staying?” I asked.
“I live on the bottom Meek. Damn.” She said hugging me again. “I still can’t believe it’s you.”
“Take my number, and this time you better not lose it.” I told her.
She pulled out her iPhone 6 plus and put the number in her phone. “I’m texting you right now so you can have my number too.”
“Good idea.” I told her pulling her close for one last hug. I couldn’t deny the fact of how good her body felt in my arms.
“Have fun Meek.” She kissed my cheek and walked off leaving me standing there mesmerized with everything about her.
“Goddamn.” I mumbled to myself before going to get the drinks and find Reesie. It didn’t matter what else happened tonight. One person had already made my night; I could go home now.
