“I still hide behind sweaters, and I still see that bigger body sometimes. It’s so rough.”
Her eyes met Laurenza’s in the mirror. “I started therapy to help me a couple of months ago, and I think this will be good for me.”
“Therapy has helped me so much too,” Laurenza replied. “It’s helped me see the real, fabulous new me who took her health in hand but is still curvy and fabulous.”
She did a little dance, making Erin laugh.
Settling her hands on Erin’s shoulders she asked, “Do you want to go out there and look at yourself in the big mirrors?”
Erin nodded, pieces of hair falling from her bun to hang around her face.
“Let’s go.”
