Vi didn’t move. She kept her fingers where they were with her leg pressed against her hand until she saw Cory begin to dissolve into a puddle of contentment.

Cory slowly blinked and smiled up at Vi. “That was worth the wait, but I’m never letting you get away from me again.”

“Talk about a bulldozer.” Vi smiled.

“A romantic bulldozer,” Cory said as she smoothed her hand over Vi’s hair.

Vi smiled. “I think we’d better get back in the water before we both end up naked on this beach.”

Cory smiled. “I can’t walk yet. Besides, it’s too nice lying here, with you looking down on me and your hand resting on my stomach.”

Vi took the opportunity to rake her gaze down Cory’s body and back to those gorgeous blue eyes. “Mmhmm,” Vi said. “Just wait until I get you naked.”

“Fuck, Violet,” Cory said breathlessly. “Are you trying to make me come again?”

“Come on,” Vi said as she stood. She grabbed Cory’s hands and pulled her up. She put her arms around Cory’s shoulders and looked into her eyes. “Wait—” Vi let Cory go and reached for her phone.

“You said you know how to salsa.” Vi fiddled with her phone and music began to play.

Vi offered her hand and once again put her arm around Cory’s shoulders. They stepped at the same time and collided into one another.

“Who’s leading?” Cory laughed.

“I’ll lead.”

Cory scoffed. “Of course you will.”

Vi raised her eyebrows and smirked. “Do you have a problem with that?”

“Not even a little.” Cory grinned.

Vi put one hand firmly on Cory’s waist and cupped her hand. She gave Cory a seductive smile as they took a couple of steps and began to move their hips. Vi spun Cory once then held her close. “Salsa is a sensual dance. You have to feel the moves,” Vi said softly, gazing into Cory’s eyes.

Vi spun Cory again then she dipped under Cory’s outstretched arm. They faced each other and began to swing their hips and arms as they stepped to the music. The grin on Cory’s face spoke right to Vi’s heart.

She had dreamed of dancing like this one day with the woman she loved. Here they were on this private romantic beach, dancing the salsa in the sand. Vi’s heart filled with emotion and she knew it was love. Why question it?

Vi took Cory into her arms again and they twirled around each other until Vi bent Cory back as the song ended.

“Violet Valdez, you take my breath away,” Cory whispered.

Vi was about to kiss Cory when they suddenly heard clapping. She pulled Cory up and they turned to look back towards the cabin. Krista and Melanie were walking towards them, smiling and clapping.

“I’m just glad we had our swimsuits on,” Cory murmured into Vi’s ear.

Vi chuckled at Cory and grinned.

“That was incredible,” Krista said.

“We don’t mean to bother you, but we decided to make homemade ice cream. It’s my grandmother’s recipe and we wanted to share it with y’all,” Melanie said.

“That’s so sweet,” Cory said.

“Just wait until you taste it,” Krista said, reaching into a bag and handing each of them a container and spoons.

“Sit down and join us,” Vi said, smoothing out the towels so they would all have a place to sit.
