I throw Jordan chin and he gives it back. Looking at Major’s smile, I know he’s happy. “Major?”
“I agree with everything they said. Clem is nodding away over here so he does too. The suits are a priority. We were concerned about IT, but you’ve shown us how it works with IT and Controls in different locations. We didn’t lose a fucking thing and gained peace of mind knowing our Clubs will be covered better together than we ever were alone.”
I smile at that. “Never alone, Major. Badass always has our back.”
My room cheers, then theirs does. Major and Jordan are laughing. Maverick salutes me and shuts down. I clear us out and sit.
Four hours seemed to fly by. We did it and everyone is happy. Checking on Falcon, I see he’s back in the city. Brinks is in the city Ops center watching a screen. He must be waiting for Falcon.
My phone goes off with a text from Jordan. He’ll send a truck with the Enforcer teams’ bikes. The choppers will bring the Brothers home. Fucking sweet. I shoot him a thanks. It’s a twenty-minute ride by chopper. My Brothers will be happy.
Hade hits my back. “First win is always the best, Brother.”
“Yeah.” I’m so fucking relieved. Knowing we have the ability and actually doing it feels so fucking good.
Raid sits. “All that’s left is the Sheriff.”
“Yeah. Major had some ideas but said we’d talk about it on the first. There’s got to be a way to get an elected official out. With the Sheriffs close by backing the swindling Sheriff, it could turn into a war we don’t need.”
“We have time. Right now the deputies, players and Carlson are done. Six-Guns may throw blowback but they’re going to need time to get their Enforcers built up.” Hade is right about them needing Enforcers.
“I don’t think they’ll come back for this. Just the opposite. Jordan is there, he’s shown he isn’t bending over and he has our backing. Six-Guns didn’t fuck with us and wouldn’t fuck with Major. They’ll steer clear of Jordan.”
They both nod thinking about that.
“Ops covered?”
“Yeah. 24/7.” Raid looks proud.
I hit his back and stand up. “Brothers. Our first combined Ops ran well. You did good making me look good.” They laugh, I shrug smiling. “If you have concerns, bring them to the meet in the morning. Anyonenotstill working, we’ll see you at the Club.”
I check the screen for Falcon. Anton hits my leg and points. “Thanks, Brother. I couldn’t leave unless I knew he was in.” My little albino puts his fist out. I bump it like I’ve seen them do. He smiles and turns back to his computer.
“To the Club, Brothers.” Jinx has me laughing when the Brothers repeat it. It’s going to be a long loud night.
