“I’m going to ask. He knows I want to get married, I just…”

Before he could finish his sentence, his papa came out of the suite, his surgical mask lowered, so Malek saw the huge smile on his face.

His papa placed a kiss on his cheek, “Congratulations son. Go in and meet your baby.”

Malek smiled, since he and Axel decided not to find out if they were having a boy or a girl, his dad respected their wishes, but always smiled knowingly when he brought a gender neutral baby gift by.

His brother came out of the operating suite and patted him on the shoulder, “Lucky sod.”

Malek couldn’t help his grin. He took a deep breath, before walking in. But still, the moment he got in that room and saw his mate, smiling up at him, their baby in his arms, Malek's legs began to shake as he made his way over.

“Hey,” Malek said stupidly.

“Come here and meet your son,” Axel's eyes shone when he looked at Malek. “He’s perfect.”

Malek looked into the tiny scrunched up face of his son, and fell in love all over again. It was different from what he felt for his mate, but just as powerful.

“Wow, he’s perfect.” Malek knew their lives would never be the same because of this tiny human.

“We have a baby,” Axel said, the awe in his tone unmissable.

Malek placed his pinkie finger in his son's palm, and his son grabbed on and squeezed, and that was how Malek felt like his heart was too big for his body.

He looked at Axel, and he’d never looked more perfect to Malek, and this was the moment. Them as parents, a family.

“I hope you know how much I love you,” Malek said, not taking his eyes off his mate holding their son, their alpha son, in awe.

“I love you more,” Axel whispered, “I can’t believe this is our life, and that I’m holding our baby.”

Malek smiled, “I feel married to you already baby, but I want to stand up in front of our families and marry you.”

Axel grinned, “I want that too.”

“Marry me, Angel.”

“In this life, and in the next one too,” Axel held Malek’s gaze.

Malek pulled the white gold studded diamond ring he’d been carrying around and Axel lifted his hand so Malek could slide the ring on him.

“It’s beautiful,” Axel said. Malek looked into his mate’s eyes and was humbled by what he saw there. “Ready to hold your son?”

Malek took his son from Axel, he held him carefully making sure his neck was supported, just like all the baby books he'd read said.

Malek just stared down at his baby boy, this little person that was half him and half Axel. All he could do was take in every perfect inch.

He’d never seen anything so beautiful. Malek placed a kiss on his son’s forehead, and thanked the goddess for the two gifts she'd given him.

He looked at his mate, “Thank you for making me the happiest man on earth.”

Axel’s eyes crinkled, “You made all my dreams come and true, and more. So much more.” His mate’s voice caught as his eyes moved from Malek to their son.

“Ready to introduce him to the rest of the family.”

Axel nodded and Malek called everyone into the room. He didn’t have to raise his voice, because he knew they would hear him without him needing to.

When everyone came in the room, Malek turned to his family, his baby boy in his arms, "I'd like you all to meet our son, Mason."
