Page 30 of Malek
Axel sat up and straddled Malek. He took in his mate's gorgeous features and the look of adoration in his eyes, “Is it always like?”
Malek’s brow furrowed, “Is what always like this?”
“This between us, between mates, like I have these overwhelming feelings, but also this sense of certainty, and there’s this overwhelming need to touch you, or be touched by you. And when you touch me and I want to mount you, or is it let you mount me? Whatever… It’s just, I feel like I miss you even when you’re next to me, and I want to tell everyone who’ll listen that you're mine… is that what it’s like between mates?”
Axel shrugged, this was all new to him, but it was how he felt—like he always had butterflies in his belly around Malek. He never wanted to see this man sad.
Malek smiled, this big massive smile like Axel had just told him that he’d won the National Lottery, or something. Although he had a feeling winning the lottery would be nothing to his mate, but the description fit.
“The mating pull does make it so we never want to be apart. That’s how it works,” Malek brushed his thumb over Axel’s jaw in a tender gesture, “Although the mating pull can be instant lust, the rest I hoped would come. The rest, well, that’s how I feel for you, and it’s not just the mating pull, even though that helped. That’s love baby. I love you and you don’t know how much it means to me, knowing that you feel the same way.”
Axel realised what he had felt for Matt was nothing, nothing at all, because he’d been able to watch Matt with other people, hung out with him actually, and made nice with whoever Matt dated.
Axel knew, with a bone-deep certainty, he couldn’t even imagine someone else touching Malek in a sexual way.
He'd claw their eyes out.
That was how territorial he felt.
Yeah, he hadn't felt an ounce of what he felt for Malek towards Matt. And with Malek, Axel knew his heart would always be safe.
Axel placed a sweet kiss on Malek’s lips, pouring all his feeling into it, making sure anything he left unsaid was in that kiss.
A phone ringing interrupted them, and both of them groaned, especially since Malek’s and his erections had joined the party enthusiastically.
They broke their kiss, their foreheads touching.
“Maybe we should go on a honeymoon,” Malek sighed.
Axel laughed and got off his mate, so he could get the phone. That was when he realised he didn’t even know where his phone was. He hadn’t checked in with his family in almost forty-eight hours and he was sure they would be worried about him. He knew he should get on that, but he was too blissed out to move right then. He would have to do it at some point soon, but right now he was still basking.
His mate groaned and Axel looked up at him.
“What’s up?”
“How do you feel about having dinner with my brothers?” Malek asked. “They kind of want to unofficially celebrate our mating.”
“That’s so lovely of them. I would love to,” Axel smiled. It was good to know his new in-laws approved of him.
Malek came back to bed and Axel, straddled his mate, “How long until we have to go to dinner.” He wiggled his ass over Malek’s cock.
Malek growled and flipped them over, “Long enough.”
Sixteen
Axel
Axel kind of got carried away in mated bliss, but he made sure to drop a quick text to his brother, Rowan, telling him he was okay, and that he’d met a guy. He’d even gone as far as sending a picture of Malek’s chest to him.
His brother’s reply was, “Go forth, and hump in peace.”
The bloody arse.
It had made Axel laugh though and he knew if the roles were reversed he would have sent something similar.
It was all perfect timing since it was the summer holidays. He didn’t have to worry about returning to school and workout his notice, he just sent a letter to the school office and an email to the headmistress and he was now jobless. For the first time since he turned sixteen.
But Axel didn’t have to worry about getting bored, between finishing their home with an unlimited budget, which still felt so weird to Axel. And the many Ikea items he’d ordered was proof you could take the boy out of Salford, but not Salford out of the boy.
