Axel pecked his mate and whispered, “I’ll be fine.”
“Yes he will, son. I don’t bite,” Malek’s dad teased.
Malek released him and Cameron led Axel into their home. Before they went in the front door, Cameron paused, and looked back at their mates, “Axel and I are going to have a little chat. Why don’t you three unload the boot, and we’ll get to know each other a little better.”
“We have our marching orders,” Axel heard his mate tease.
Axel wasn’t sure what to say to Malek’s dad as the man led him into the kitchen, so he kept quiet, and waited.
The man, his father-in-law—Axel wasn’t sure what to call him, but he really wanted him to like him—led Axel to the chair at the small dining table that Axel had ordered from Ikea, so they could have breakfast in the kitchen sometimes. He always felt like the kitchen was the heart of a home.
Focus Axel.
Axel realised this washishome and he was being a poor host. He got up and looked around their kitchen, “I should offer you something.”
Malek’s dad walked over to where he stood and sat him down again, “Rubbish. In your condition you get to be waited on hand and foot. The one time you can get your mate to hop on one foot and juggle at the same time.”
Axel threw his head back and laughed, “From what I’ve seen they do that anyway.”
Malek’s dad nodded in approval, “Good then he was raised right.”
“And I’m sure I have you to thank for that.”
Axel bit his lips. He wanted to bring up his pregnancy as excited as he was about it, but it was still out of his wheelhouse and he’d been wanting someone to talk to about it.
“You can speak your mind, Axel. I know you must have a million questions. I can practically hear them banging around in there,” Malek’s dad put a cuppa in front of Axel and took a seat.
“I know this is a whole new world for you, but feel free to ask me anything. I’m not sure if my son told you, but I am a doctor, and I did have four kids, so I can answer whatever question you have.”
Axel breathed a sigh of relief, “Thank you.”
Malek’s dad chuckled, probably at the relief that was evident in Axel’s voice.
“I have a million questions.”
“I’ll be happy to answer every one of them,” Malek’s dad said.
“Well Mr. Whit—”
Malek’s dad interrupted him, “Oh, please call me Cameron, or Cam, sweetie. We’re family now.”
“Cam,” Axel smiled.
His mate joined them at that moment, coming up behind Axel, and nuzzling his neck.
“Are you okay, angel?” Malek asked.
“I’m fantastic.”

Axel and Malek’spapa spoke for hours. He answered every question Axel had. The main one being where and how.
Apparently, he had two options, and of the two, he chose the one that had them slicing him open.C-section, please.Cut him open and pull out the kid. There was no way he was going to, yup pass. So, he had his first doctor’s appointment.
Apparently they had to wait another week for the ultrasound and then they could see their baby.
He was going to be a daddy, heandMalek. No matter how many times he said it out loud or in his head, Axel was still stunned.
