“Angel,” Malek pushed his chair back and lifted Axel out of his, “Talk to me. Are you okay?”

When Axel looked at him his eyes were wide, “Pregnant?”

“Yeah, babe. We talked about it, remember…”

“But, I didn’t think it would happen… like… immediately,” Axel whispered.

“Is that a bad thing?” Malek asked carefully, scared of his mate’s answer. The chance that Axel was pregnant was high, as it usually happened during claiming.

Then, after that, there were six monthly cycles, kind of like omegas. He had to look it up. There hadn’t been a human mate in the family in over a century, so he wasn’t sure.

Axel's arms went around his belly, “A baby…” he looked at his still-flat belly.

Malek nodded. He didn’t look at his brothers, although he knew they were in the room still, but it was silent, a pin dropping would have sounded like a bomb going off.

“Yeah, babe, a baby. How do you feel about that?” Malek asked.

“We could be parents in nine months,” Axel said, awe in his tone.

“Four months,” Malek corrected.

Axel's head swivelled, and he would have headbutted Malek, but his reflexes were faster.

“Four months?” Axel gasped.

“Yeah, babe,” Malek said slowly, “Axel, angel, how do you feel? I’m getting so many emotions from you, I can’t really pin one down.”

“I’m so happy,” Axel whispered. His arms went around Malek’s neck in a strangling hug.

All his brothers breathed a collective sigh of relief.

“How soon can we tell?” Axel asked, pulling back to look Malek in the eye. The joy he could see there made him feel like he would burst.

“A week,” Malachi replied, finally breaking the silence.

Axel’s head whirled, startling. His angel looked like he’d forgotten that Malek’s brothers were with them. That shouldn’t have pleased Malek as much as it did.

“Oh my, we have so much to do,” Axel gasped, and began making a list out loud.

All the brothers grinned. He knew how excited they were for him, but not just that, a child was always a blessing.

“We can help with the move if you have a lot,” Marcellus, the second to youngest brother spoke up.

Axel blushed and looked his brother-in-law’s way, “Thank you, but I just have my clothes, my books and a few other things. I still live at home.”

Malek hid his smile as he watched his mate charm his brothers. They kept on talking for a bit longer, getting to know each other, and Malek’s heart was so full.

If someone had told him that he would be sitting here having breakfast with his mate and his siblings, he would not have believed them.

Axel

Axel had an awesome time getting to know Malek’s brothers. They were so nice to him, even though they’d shocked him when they’d mentioned he could be pregnant.

Axel had no idea it could happen that soon, and instead of panicking about the thought, he was excited.

Veryexcited.
