Page 59 of Hell Fae Commander
All of him.
Everything we could be.
“I want you to bite me,” I told him. “Reallybite me.”
“That’ll initiate the mating bonds,” he reminded me, his response spoken against my clit.
“I know,” I replied, infusing the same amount of confidence in those two words as he had moments ago. “I want you to bite me, Ajax.”
His thumbs stilled against my skin, his focus shifting away from my heated center and upward to my face. “You want my claiming bite?”
I swallowed and nodded. “Yes.” It came out less confident than before, but not because I didn’t want this. I definitely did.
But what if I’d misheard him earlier? Or perhaps I’d misunderstood?
No. He keeps saying he wants to bite me.
Unless…
“Do you only want to bite me for my blood?” I asked him. I didn’t know how often he needed to feed. Maybe that was why he wanted to bite me—to satiate his hunger.
He’d craved my essence before. Az had helped him by biting me for Ajax. And another time we’d used a knife.
Perhaps…“Can you conjure a blade?” I frowned, another thought occurring to me. “What happened to your wand?” He’d had it in the bedroom, but now it seemed to have vanished.
I shook my head.Stop being ridiculous, Cami.
“Never mind.” I was rambling now, which was very unlike me. “Just fuck me. Forget I said anything.”
Ajax lifted his head away from my core, his blue-black eyes studying mine. “Forget that you asked me to bite you?” His lips curled. “Forget that you asked me toclaimyou?”
“Ajax—”
“I’m not forgetting anything, little rebel.” He grabbed the counter on either side of my hips, his muscular form leaning into mine. “When I do this, we’ll be connected forever. Are you sure you want that, Cami? Are you sure you want me inside you? Linked to your soul? Able to hear your thoughts and mind?”
I shivered, the intensity in his words touching my spirit and setting it on fire.
Becauseyes, I wanted that. All of that. With him.
To not be alone anymore. To have a partner. To survive with someone rather than on my own. To live out what little time I had left with a lover—a mate—instead of wasting it away in solitude.
But it was more than that.
I’d clicked with Ajax from the beginning, even when he’d been the intimidating and cruel Warden. Against my better judgment, I’d desired him even then.
And he’d been supportive of me in his own way, too. Confiding in me despite his nature not to trust anyone. Helping me with the trials. Even his behavior after he thought I’d betrayed him had been more sensual than harsh. And when he’d realized I was innocent… he’d groveled.
He’d made it up to me.
He’d been there for me.
He’d even tried to help me.
Then he’d saved me.At the expense of everything else.
Do I want to mate him?
“Yes,” I told him, my hand cupping his cheek. It was probably crazy. Rash, even. But…“It feels right. This. Us. Right now.”
