Page 42 of Hell Fae Commander
“She’s not?—”
Shade disappeared into a cloud of smoke, his chuckle an echo in the room as the wisps of his power vanished into thin air.
“Bastard,” I muttered.
“He’s better than the Architect,” Sir Silber grated out from beside the bed. “That one actually scares me.”
Yeah,I thought.Me, too.Not that I’d admit it aloud. Of course, I didn’t really need to.
Zakkai was the Midnight Fae Architect and pretty much as powerful as Lucifer. Having the Midnight Fae on my side might actually be a good thing for when Az finally showed up. But convincing Zakkai to help would not be easy.
A problem for tomorrow. Maybe at midnight breakfast.
“Bed is turned down,” Sir Silber announced. “There are already towels on the warming rack, if you want a shower or a bath. Do you need anything else?”
I shook my head. “No. Thank you for your help, Sir Silber. Feel free to take a break or go hassle Shade about your stoners.”
The gargoyle bowed. “I’ll be at my post.”
That wasn’t what I recommended at all, but I knew better than to argue with a gargoyle. Instead, I thanked him again and carried Cami over to the huge bed.
Sol was a massive Earth Fae, his boulder-like size intimidating. Yet this mattress could easily fit ten of him.
“Guest suite,” I groused as I set Cami on the bed. “More like an orgy pad.”
I flinched, not at all keen on thinking about that right now.
Well, Cami at the center of an orgy… that might appeal to me. She’d be an alluring goddess in the middle, her beautiful gray eyes flashing with the lightning of a passionate thunderstorm as she cried out in pleasure.
Yes, please,I thought.
Only, the vision sharpened, the participants of the fantasy becoming clearer.
Az driving into her from behind while she straddled me, my cock buried in her sweet heat. Melek pumping in and out of her mouth.
And Lucifer commanding it all.
He’d sit in that chair—the one facing the bed in the corner of the room—wearing one of his trademark suits. The raw power of the Hell Fae King would shudder through the room, sending his dark hair billowing around his shoulders in energetic waves. Those dark glittering eyes would house violent intent as all of his focus homed in on Melek. On Cami.On me.
I shivered, the vision so vivid it almost felt real.
But Cami’s soft breath pulled me back to the present, to her weary body curling naturally into the sheets.
I shook my head, the intense fantasy leaving me a bit dizzy. I couldn’t tell if I’d just had a moment or if exhaustion was threatening my sanity.
Because that image in my head would never happen.
The only thing Lucifer would ever desire to demand would be our deaths.
“Fuck.” I ran my hand over my face. “Fuck.”
Cami responded with a soft sigh as she nuzzled into the floral pillowcase—the design a stark contrast from the black and red tones of the Hell Fae Kingdom.
It wasn’t exactly my preferred decor, but it suited Cami in this moment. And she seemed rather content, too.
Sleep well, little rebel.
Leaving her to her well-deserved rest, I ventured out onto the balcony.
