Page 2 of Hell Fae Commander
Camillia, I realized in a breath. She was emanating energy, her brownish-blonde hair appearing lighter than usual as vitality swirled around her.
Typhos started toward her, the portal in the sky a glaring hole behind him.
Oh, shit… Camillia’s accessing the Hell Fae Source. I could hear the confirmation of my thoughts in Typhos’s mind, his anger a hot whiplash of smoldering ire.
She was too lost in his power to notice, her attention seeming to be on the sky.
Blinding light appeared in the next second as she unleashed a ball of warm energy, the power flowing directly up into the portal.
The ground shook in response, the sky seeming to splinter. Only… only the vortex closed in response.
And disappeared.
Fires,I breathed.
Had Camillia just used Lucifer’s power to heal the breach?
How…?
That… that shouldn’t be…
I swallowed.Fuck.
Typhos looked ready to kill her. He’d warned her not to touch his source again.
His demand had nothing to do with possessiveness and everything to do with protectiveness. He’d been burned before in the worst way possible. By a woman. By one he’d trusted. OneIhad trusted, too.
Vivaxia.
Just thinking about her made my skin crawl—a sensation that worsened as Typhos landed on the ground in front of Camillia.
Shit.He was going to rip her apart in this state.
I started toward them, only to curse as he grabbed her and disappeared.
Melek immediately followed, his expression holding a touch of concern—an uncharacteristic trait for the usually carefree prince. I only caught it for a second before he disappeared, but it was definitely there.
And it rivaled my own concern.
Typhos very rarely lost his temper. He also preferred sensual punishments, like the one he’d inflicted upon Camillia earlier tonight.
But his current mood wasn’t playful or charming. It was deadly.
And Camillia had just earned the full force of his wrath.
Fuck.
Fuck.
Fuck.
CHAPTER1
CAMI
If death had a face,it would be Typhos’s face right now.
The Hell Fae King paced before me, his magic resembling invisible binds around my wrists and ankles. I supposed it was better than the snake-vines Ajax had used during my last interrogation, but I still wasn’t thrilled by it. Mostly because I was naked and entirely exposed.
