“How much do I owe you?”

Rubin waves his hand. “Don’t worry about it. It was fun.”

I press my lips together.

“Will you design a logo for me?” Hendrix asks. “Mine would need to be sexier.”

“For being a camboy?”

Hendrix nods.

“Of course. I won’t charge you either.”

“Aww, you’re the best.”

“Get a room,” Rory repeats.

The room erupts in laughter again. Stefan helps Quinn sit. I’ve never seen anyone laugh so hard while looking so exhausted at the same time. Rubin shuffles closer to Quinn and squeezes his brother’s shoulder.

“I think Hendrix is right,” I say.

“I’m always right. But what exactly am I right about this time?”

“That this logo is the best.” I indicate the one he’d pointed to.

“Oh. Yes, it is.”

“It’s lovely,” Rory says.

Hendrix sniggers and gestures at him. “You agree with me!”

Rory rolls his eyes. “It’s a one-time thing.”

“Oh, I’m sure, but I’m still going to gloat about it.” Hendrix does a victory dance involving a lot of hip swaying and gyrating.

“If that’s the one you want, I can design some business cards and letterheads for you,” Rubin offers. “Think about what else you’ll need. Maybe a transfer for your tool bag? Or a version that can be embroidered onto jumpers and T-shirts.”

“Brand recognition would be good.” Quinn’s voice is back to normal now, but he still looks like he might fall asleep any second.

“Thanks.” I’m too overwhelmed to say more.

“No problem. I’m happy to help.”

“Maybe we should go to my room and discuss my logo,” Hendrix says.

Rubin laughs. “That works for me. I’ll have everything finished for you by the end of the week, Callan.”

I nod my thanks as Rubin and Hendrix disappear upstairs.

“Do you think they’re going to discuss a logo or—?” Rory begins. He stops when Quinn holds up his hand.

“I don’t want to know.” He puts his hand over Stefan’s. “Sleep time.”

“I’ve got you.” Stefan helps Quinn stand. “Once you’ve got business cards, I’ll pass one to my boss at The Library. I’m sure Fraser, Beau, and Preston will also give business cards to their bosses.”

“Thanks.”
