Page 6 of ARIDHI: His Never-Ending Desire
I was moving towards her while my eyes were worshipping her, fixed on her with an intensity that glows only around her.
I could see her cheeks getting red. She was blushing and sure enough, she looked cute.
And believe me when I say that after so many years, she was looking so breathtaking.
She immediately walked towards me, throwing her arms around my neck.
I didn't expect from her that she will come to me and take the initiative to hug me like this.
Now that she is in my arms, my embrace, I just can't let anyone take her from me.
For every reason in my bone, I want this moment to stay forever, it should never end.
Wrapping my arms around her back, I pulled her closer when her beautiful scent of roses and sweet filled my nostrils.
My watch came in my view and I checked my heartbeat through it. And damn it was beating more than average.
Sometimes I don't believe in the pulse rates shown in such watches but now I don't need that belief.
It's her charm and aura around me.
Even though my heartbeat increased, it is the most satisfying and relaxing thing right now.
I'm feeling so calm, so distant from my surroundings, so connected with her.
Closing my eyes to enjoy the moment, I felt her body pressed against mine. I pulled her closer to me.
God, I don't want her to leave me. I don't want to leave her. If only time could just stop here.
I am sure she is smiling while burying her face in my neck because a smile automatically broke free on my mouth.
I know there are many people looking at us. I'm aware of all the eyes digging in my skin.
Of course there is a reason for that. Reason being the man I'm hugging right now, Ruvit.
They don't know about me, but they do know Ruvit.
He is a big personality out there in Delhi.
Meanwhile, my real identity in my professional life is hidden from the world, type of an underworld businesswoman.
Nevermind such matters. I want to enjoy this moment.
I don't know what is so special about Ruvit that I never felt with anyone else, but there is so much between us.
"Bas bhi kro. I'm feeling single, dude."Dhruv whined, though he was grinning.
(Just stop it.)
"Shut up and let them enjoy." Ridhima flicked his forehead, earning an ‘ouch’ from Dhruv.
"It's a legendary moment to see Aridhi like this so keep your mouth shut." Dhruv sighed dramatically as Ridhima added.
I looked up at Ruvit. His eyes were closed. It feels like he is enjoying the moment as much as I do.
And damn, he is looking so cute.
His face had that faraway look in it which cannot be described in words.
It had lost its boyish charm over the years, replaced by the rugged handsomeness of a man.
His long eyelashes, which cast shadows under his eyes are as beautiful as some kind of wings.
His lips feel like those rose petals I usually wear perfume of, soft and enticing.
And his sharp jawline, a chiseled stone, is the most charming point on his face.
I was admiring his face features when suddenly he opened up his eyes, locked straight on to mine.
Averting my gaze somewhere else with sweat forming on my forehead, I couldn't help but feel nervous.
Again this heated sensation and his firing gaze.
"How are you?"Ruvit asked me and his fingers traced my arm as they reached to my shoulder and stopped on my jaw.
His stares were enough to control my body and now his touch is also playing with it, burning each and every cell in me.
He took a few strands of my hair in his hand, earning my eyes on him, "I'm absolutely noice."
"Noice?"He tilted his head, arching his eyebrows. "It's my way to say nice." He nodded cutely as I replied.
"What about you? How are you doing?" Asking him, I smiled when he dropped a kiss on my hair strands.
"I'm noice too."He set my strands behind my ear, that I reciprocated with a chuckle. He copied the same way in which I said.
"You know I missed you." His hand went to hold my hand, resting his forehead against mine, "I missed you too, Ruvit!"
I don't know why I can't stop this man. Uff! His actions. They always take my heart.
He smiled, absolutely gorgeous and charming, taking my breath away.
"Are you guys done flirting?" Ridhima smirked at us, tease glinting in the depths of her orbs.
Flirting? He has been doing such actions around me since childhood.
"I never knew you were so romantic."Dhruv wrapped his arm around Ruvit's shoulder, a mischievous smile tugged his lips.
"You never admired me in such a way and now look at you, bipolar." Dhruv continued but shut his mouth when Ruvit glared at him.
That made me and Ridhima laugh.
"Are you two dating by any chance?"Ridhima giggled, pointing between Ruvit and Dhruv.
"NO WAY." Ruvit elbowed Dhruv, pushing him aside.
"Wow, baby. Bandi mil gyi to bhai ko bhul gya?"Dhruv looked at Ruvit dramatically.
(You forgot your brother after getting a girl?)
Baby? They were never like this in childhood. I guess Dhruv has gone mad after his breakup with Nandini.
"Let's go home now. It's getting late."Ridhima reminded us, "What are your plans, by the way?"
Her question was directed at me as she lifted up her eyebrows in suspicion.
Since my parents don't live in Delhi, I have to book a room and live in a hotel. But if I told this to her she would make me stay with her in her home.
However, I can't lie when it's her. Sigh
"I know you have nowhere to go. So, you are going to stay with me. Got it?"She side-eyed me.
She isn't even asking or giving me a choice. She is simply expecting affirmation from me, and I gave her.
She understands me so well. It sometimes makes me cry.
"You can live with Ruvit."Dhruv whispered, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
I narrowed my eyes at him in disbelief and whispered back to him, "Ridhi will kill me."
"I will handle Bhab–"Before Dhruv could complete his sentence, Ruvit wrecked him away from me by pulling his shirt's collar from behind.
"If I found you so close to Aridhi again, then be ready to face its consequences, jerk."Ruvit threw a glare Dhruv's direction.
Dhruv just smiled cheekily at him, on which Ruvit smacked his shoulder.
Yeh ladka bachpan se aisa hi hain.
(This boy had been like this since childhood.)
"Okay so meet you next time."Ridhima intervened while intertwining his arm around mine.
"Wait!"Ruvit declared.
Taking a few steps towards me, he paused and forwarded a small box in front of me.
"What is it for?"I asked him while taking the box from his hands.
"Open it when you reach home."I nodded at his suggestive tone.
"Oho." Ridhima teased to which I could just say, "Shut up."
We bid bye to each other and left for our respective paths.

?? Singhania Mansion
We reached Ridhima's home. I greeted her parents and explained to them about my purpose of living here.
They happily welcomed me.
"So they left?"Ridhima asked her mother, Narmada Singhania.
"Yeah, I asked them if they could stay and meet Aridhi but they were getting late."Her mother replied.
"Okay then I'm taking Aridhi to my room. Call us when dinner is ready." Ridhima informed aunty as she held my hand.
Aunty nodded at us as we started walking up the stairs.
Taking a few turns, we stood outside her room. She showed me her room as we entered inside.
"Now open it." Ridhima claimed out of excitement, "I wanna see what my little brother-in-law gave you."
A smirk lifted on her face but nevertheless, pulling out the box from my bag, I unwrapped it.
"It is nothing like you are think—" My words stuck in my throat as a pretty bracelet came in my view.
"Woah!" She echoed beside me, "It's so beautiful." She complimented the bracelet in my hand.
There was also a piece of paper inside the box. Picking it up, I opened and read the note.
[ These are matching bracelets which I specifically designed. I'm giving you one of the pairs as I have the other pair. Your Bracelet will shine whenever I miss you and vice versa. ]
"It's so cute, right?"Ridhima peeked at the note and I nodded at her, slipping the bracelet on my wrist.
It's comfortable too.
"It's shining." I exclaimed.
So does that mean Ruvit is missing me? And if I miss him, his bracelet will shine too. Hehe.
