Page 28 of ARIDHI: His Never-Ending Desire

"Okey Everyone enough." I said while moving towards Aridhi.

"She needs time to process." Aridhi looked at me with her ocean blue eyes. I wrapped my hand around her shoulder and guided her towards her room.

"Uh-huh.." The reaction was all I heard from others before closing the door.

I looked at Aridhi who was standing in a daze.

"This isn't a dream." I assured her.

"Huh?" She looked up at me with confusion in her eyes.

"I know what you are thinking." I said."But believe me I also had no idea about this until..today!"

"What exactly happened, Ruvit??" She asked me.

I woke up early and did my morning routine as usual. I was going to take a bath when I heard a commotion from the Hall side.

I decided to check it and without any second thought, walked towards the Hall. I was surprised to see the people infront of me.

Everyone was present there. And even..Aridhi's parents were also there. They were about to come on Wedding day. Right?

I hid myself from them. I can't let them see me. It's not like I'm interested in their conversation but My Gut feeling is saying that it's important!!

I couldn't believe my ears about what I just heard. This can't be true. They are planning for my and Aridhi's marriage???

Omg!! I walked back to my room and picked up the phone from the side table. I turned on My Phone to look at the wallpaper.

I'm getting married. To You. To My Aridhi. To the Love of My Life. To My Jaan. To My Ardhangini.

I can't believe it that My Childhood Love is going to become My Wife. Wife. The word itself is enough to vibrate My whole body.

"So that's all." I explained everything to Aridhi. But Not the Love part, of course.

"God! Mumma informed me that she have selected a guy for My Marriage but I didn't got the chance to know his name" Aridhi sat on the bed. "And turns out it was you."

"You don't want to marry me?" I asked innocently.

"That's not it, Ruvit." She let out a low Chuckle."Though I have experience about Dating but I was never an ideal choice for anyone, whether it be a girlfriend or...wife! I don't know if I am suitable to become your w-"

I bent down on my knees in front of her and before she could complete her sentence, I pecked on her Lips. It wasn't a kiss, just a brush of our lips.

She looked at me with her big eyes. Her lips parted but she pressed them back together.

"I know Marriage is not a fun activity. It brings out many responsibilities. And My Little Baby is insecure about her Childish behaviour. Right?" I said with a little smile.

"Hm.." She nodded."Your Grandma won't like me, for sure. Your family has such a big name in society. I just don't wanna ruin it."

"And for that are you going to give up on Your Childhood Crush?" I lifted her chin up and said teasingly.

She blinked a few times."Wae are you so eager to Marry Me?" She averted her gaze from me.

"Uhm..I don't know!" I pointed while looking away. Heat crept on My Face spreading upto ears.

"Liar!" She exclaimed while looking straight at me."I know, something is wrong here, when it comes to me." She poked her finger on My Chest under which My Heart lies.

C'mon this isn't the right time to beat at such a speed damn heart. Just pump blood naaa!! And you damn body, wae are you reacting like this to her touch!?

I don't want to confess like this. For Fuck's sake, Stop it.

"You are getting too much Bold. Aren't you?" I looked back at her. It was now her turn to Blush. For Me.

"It's not about being Bold. It was just a mere observation. You were breathing too fast just now and that's what I pointed out." She avoided My Eyes while speaking.

"Ohh?" I caressed her hair strands behind her ear."Wae are you looking like a tomato, Ardhangini?"

"I'm not your Ardhangini yet." She bit her lips lightly.

"Baby, you became My Ardhangini the day I heard your Pretty Voice and saw those ocean blue eyes of yours!" I tilted My head towards her.

Shit. I'm going to regret it. It wasn't supposed to be like this. Forget it, I can still divert her.

"W-What?" She stared at me with a surprising look.

"Aridhi, The thing I want to say is Don't. Don't change yourself for anyone. Just be yourself. You don't need to impress anyone to become Perfect in their point of view. You are still Perfect with a Capital P and believe me you are going to be a Perfect Daughter-in-law and Wife too." I assured.

"And if you want to, You are also going to become a Perfect Mother of our Children!" I continued which she reciprocated with a Slap on My Shoulder.

?

"So..are you both ready for this Marriage?" Aarti aunty asked.

Aridhi looked at me and nodded lightly. Is she really ready!? I mean ofcourse I don't wanna force her into this.

I can wait as much as she wants me to.

"Finally My Little Boy is getting married to his Childhood Love." Dhruv whispered against my ear.

"Don't worry, I am going to say the same line when you will marry Nandini." I whispered back with a devilish smirk.

"Why are you all red? Are you okay??" Nandini walked towards us and kept her hand on Dhruv's wrist.

"Mm.. I'm fine!" Dhruv said while glaring at me.

Everyone congratulated me and Aridhi once again before continuing the preparations for Mehandi function.

?

I still can't believe it that I'm getting married!!!

Yeah, I was insecure about it but Ruvit confronted me. And now I think I am ready.

I mean it's like a Dream came true. Who wouldn't like to get married to someone, they used to had crush on.

Though that crush isn't just a crush anymore. It's more than that. It's Love.

Somewhere deeps inside My Heart, I know Ruvit never flirted with me for timepass or for his own entertainment.

He is definitely feels the same way as I do. And anyone can say that by the way he treats me.

Different. Different from the way he treats other girls.

'Baby, you became My Ardhangini the day I heard your Pretty Voice and saw those ocean blue eyes of yours!'

His words echoed in my ears. Did he really meant it? Or I'm overthinking.

I touched the bottom part of my lips to feel the bruise of his soft lips. I would never be able to move on from it.

God! I am definitely getting crazy just because of a guy named Ruvit Rathore!

Aridhi just imagine being his Wife.

"What's up Mrs. Aridhi Ruvit Rathore!" I saw Nandini and Ridhima coming towards me.

I ran a hand through My Hairs. I know I'm getting all blushy.

"Nothing Much Mrs. Ridhima Manish Rathore." I replied with a Sheepish Smile.

"Also Mrs. Nandini Dhruv Thakur, You should go and talk with Dhruv. Few Minutes ago, he was finding you!" I turned My head in Nandini's direction.

"Desperately!" I finished. And her cheeks started to glow with a pinkish tint.

?

Preparations for Mehandi Function is done. The entire Hall is looking Stunning. Today's theme is Green Colour.

Everything has been set up on their place. We are soon going to start the Ritual.

I got ready and started to roam around the Hall for a look. I haven't seen Ruvit since morning. It was already Afternoon.

I grabbed the hem of My Lehanga to step up on stairs but I missed the step and my balance strangled.

"Shit!" I cursed under my breath as I find myself falling backwards.

Just as I was ready to fall, someone held My hand. I looked up at the person who saved me.

"Ishir!" I exclaimed. He was standing right in front of me a few stairs away. His one hand was holding me and another one was holding the rally.

He helped me to stand straight as I appreciated his help with a Thank you.

"I heard you are getting married." Ishir said to me while scratching the back of his neck with his palm.

"Yeah. I know I planned to never get married but Fate is Fate. And You see, I think I will never find a guy more better than Ruvit." I replied with a Smile.

He nodded at me before congratulating. Ridhima also sent him the invitation of her wedding. He wasn't able to attend Engagement and Haldi due to his meetings.

Ishir walked away from me. My eyes were in his direction when I saw Ruvit walking beside Ishir.

He kept a hand on his shoulder and said something. Don't know what. Ruvit's eyes met mine right away.

He was wearing a Green Kurta, similar to Mine. Ishir left from there and Ruvit walked towards me.

I wasn't ready to face him right now. God! I still remember that bruise of our Lips.

"What did you say to Ishir just now?" I asked Ruvit when he was close enough.

"I just told him to never touch My Ardhangini, ever again." Ruvit answered.

I shook my head as we walked towards the Elders.

A young Lady was applying Mehandi on Ridhima's hand. All the girls were sitting around her.

Meanwhile the Ladies were talking with other guests. All the Men were busy admiring their Women.

I took a seat beside Ridhima when I heard Narmada Aunty's voice.

"Come Aridhi, you also get your mehendi done." She walked towards us.

"Why me Aunty I-" I tried to speak.

"Kabhi to apne bado ki baat sun liya kro." My Mother taunted.

(Listen to your Elders sometime.)

I nodded my head helplessly as I heard My Bestfriend's chuckle.

I stood up from my seat and sat in front of another young lady, who was going to apply Mehandi on my hand.

I forwarded My Hand towards her and she started her work.

The Mehandi's aura spread through the entire hall.

"What's the name of your partner?" The Lady asked.

I opened My Mouth to speak but just then I saw Ruvit walking towards me, while talking on his Phone.

"Ruvit!!" I said in a bit loud voice. It was enough to stop Ruvit taking another step.

I pointed infront of his shoes and he followed my gesture. A piece of glass was there and it might hurt his foot if he had stepped on it.

He smiled and mouthed a Thank You when our eyes met.

He walked away and I looked at my hand again. I took my hand back from that lady's hold.

I stared at the centre of My hand with wide eyes. Ruvit's name was written on it!!!!

Oh no. She might have misunderstood.

"What happened Mam? You didn't like it?" She asked me with concerned eyes.

"No. No. It's Good." I assured her and gave my hand back to her.

It's Okay. It isn't a big deal. Right?

?

The Mehandi Function ended just like that. There is Sangeet function at Night, so everyone is preparing for it.

Meanwhile I'm staring at My Mehandi where Ruvit's name was printed with such a deep colour.

A smile appeared on my face.

There is a myth about this Mehandi. The more your partner loves you, the more deep colour of the Mehandi is adorned.
