Page 54 of ARIDHI: His Never-Ending Desire

The fact that Ruvit came to Jaipur in his private jet is almost revolting as he is ready to take the flight with me.

Well we could both go in his jet but I don't wanna waste my money I already spent on booking flights for two.

But now that we are making our way towards the aeroplane, I'm regretting it.

All the women and teenagers are looking at my man with dreamy eyes.

There are no reporters or any media though and that's the best part.

My grip on his bicep tightened deliberately, the possessive side of me showing up.

“Your charming face is attracting too much attention.” I mumbled.

“Your pretty face is attracting too many bastards.” He removed my hand from his bicep.

I glared at him when he suddenly wrapped the same arm around my waist to pull me closer.

Uh, butterflies but fuck them.

This man didn't let me sleep the whole night yesterday even though his hand was injured.

“We should have just used a private jet.” He frowned.

“What about my money then? Just because I'm rich doesn't mean I would let them go to waste.” I narrowed my eyes at him.

“You are acting as your surname.” He mumbled in a low voice.

“What did you say?” I pretended as if I didn't hear what he said.

“No, nothing.” He nervously chuckled.

I nodded giving him a look.

“Don't look at me like that.” He glanced at me before continuing, “You are scary sometimes.”

I tiptoed and bit on his cheek.

He slightly groaned and just as I was about to bite again, he put his palm upon my mouth.

“Control, Ardhangini. We are in public.”

?

“Uh-could you please help me with the seats?” I looked at the source of the voice.

A young lady was standing beside our seats. Her question was directed at Ruvit who didn't bother to look at her.

“Yes?” I replied on his behalf.

“I was actually asking him.” She said, pointing at Ruvit who is busy staring at my photos on his phone.

I took the seat beside the window. And Ruvit sat beside me, making it understandable if she asked Ruvit in the first place.

But since he didn't reply, I did. What's wrong with it or is she that of a men's attention seeker?

“I didn't refuse to help you, did I?”

“No but–” I cut her off, losing my patience.

“You can ask the flight attendant for seat arrangements. No need to disturb other passengers, you know.”

She swallowed before making a nod.

“Sorry.” She muttered and made her way ahead.

I shook my head, “It's all because of your charms.” I interlocked my arm with his.

“Don't be jealous, meri jaan.” He looked up from his phone, “I am loyal to you.”

“I am not jealous.” I scrunched my nose.

“Yeah..sure, Ardhangini.” His lips pressed against mine in a soft kiss.

?

“SURPRISE!” The chants erupted around us as soon as we entered inside the Rathore's mansion.

The flight seemed less tiring in front of this lovely surprise.

Ruvit's grandmother is standing at the doorstep, holding a plate in her hand.

“Aaj me khud tum dono ki aarti utarungi.” She stated, earning a surprised expression from everyone.

(Today I myself will do aarti of you both.)

Matashree and Ritu aunty were standing on her right side. Meanwhile Papa and Manoj uncle were standing on her left.

Behind them were Manish bhaiya and Ridhima who were smiling while looking at me.

And as always, Abhir and Rishika were bickering like tom and jerry.

Vinayak bhaiya was no where to be seen.

“Where is bro?” I asked Matashree in a low voice on which she replied, “He left for Mumbai due to an urgency.”

“Oh?” But I wanted to celebrate my victory with him. I wanted to tell him that his little sister has finally achieved her dream.

Ruvit's grandmother did aarti of Ruvit and me after applying tilak on our forehead.

She patted my head lovingly and offered me a piece of sweet.

I took a small bite from it before she handed the leftover sweet to Ruvit.

He looked at her with a weird expression before calling out, “You are seriously letting me eat the same piece Aridhi ate?”

“I thought you despise such an act of service.” Ruvit added before eating the leftover sweet.

Grandma ignored him, her attention was on me with a smile plastered on her wrinkled face.

It's almost as if I'm seeing a new version of her which seems foreign to my eyes.

She made a way for both of us to enter inside the mansion.

I looked at Ruvit to step together inside the house. But his eyes indicated to me to step before him.

This is an absolute injustice. His small eye gesture did something unusual in my stomach.

I walked inside and he remained in his place.

So, I glanced back when I saw him bending down to touch the floor I just walked on, which ultimately means…my footprints!?

In a slight movement, he brought the same hand to his forehead, making his front hair dishevelled in a sexy way.

Our eyes met and I felt like everything around me paused. There are just him and me. No one else.

A tint of red colour made its way to my cheeks as he stepped beside me and intertwined our hands.

“Thank you for blessing this home with your presence.” He whispered, “And me.”

I can't miss the way grandma just smiled at us while applying kajal behind my ear.

Then suddenly a party popper burst over me and Ruvit. And soon, everyone started congratulating us.

“I saw your engagement moment live on TV.” Rishika approached me, “It was majestic.” I chuckled in response.

“Why didn't you tell anyone that you were the business queen?” Abhir asked, standing beside me.

“It didn't matter.” I glanced at Ruvit, remembering my thoughts.

‘I would not reveal my identity till I surpass the business king, Ruvit.’

Did I actually surpass him?

But as much as I observed him in his professional life, I don't really think I'm better than him.

Actually, the way he carries himself as a businessman is unique in itself.

No doubt, he deserves his title.

However me? I don't really think the title of business queen ever belonged to me.

The situation in Jaipur demanded me to reveal my identity but it doesn't mean I wanted to.

‘Whatever you have achieved till date on your own, learn to be proud of it before the achievement feels nothing.’

The words of my grandfather stuck in my brain.

Right, it's not the time to think about whether I deserved it or not.

I achieved it because of my hardwork and I should appreciate it without any speculation.

“Why didn't it matter?” Abhir's voice made me come out of my trance as I looked at him.

“I had...my own reasons.” I replied, a bitter taste remaining on my tongue for acting like this with my own brother.

But I don't have any mood to talk about that topic. Let's just cherish the moments Kanhaji blessed me with.

Just when I was expecting him to be disappointed with my answer, a bright smile formed on his lips.

He pulled me into a side hug, “I am happy for you, di.”

I smiled before thanking him.

Abhir may not talk about this but as his elder sister and the same blood in our veins, I'm sure that he also has a side he doesn't show to anyone.

Just as much as I understand that fact about him, he understood that fact about me too.

I'm happy to see him growing in this way.

Because somewhere behind his upbringing, I contributed a major role.

Though let's not talk about that topic. It's sad and depressing.

I broke the hug and patted his head.

“I am glad to have a little bro like you.” Then I ruffled his hair on which he whined.

“Di,” He called out, grabbing my hand softly, “not my hair.”

“Oh c'mon, wae are you guys so obsessed with your hair?” I questioned but I just felt like Rishika's face turned flushed right now.

Abhir glanced back at her. A slight smirk appeared on his face and holy fuck, did I just saw an another version of my brother?

My eyes moved between him and Rishika.

Something is definitely cooking between them.

“You know what sis,” Abhir turned in my direction, “Guys only let a certain someone touch their hair.”

Rishika coughed in the background, proving me more right.

Ignoring her for a moment, Abhir added, “I'm sure you are the only one to touch my brother-in-law's hair.”

Now I coughed, absolutely fake, remembering the moment when I did touch Ruvit's hair.

It mostly happens during sex when he goes roug—What. The. Fuck.

I shook my head to remove all those unholy thoughts from my brain.

Thank god!

No one was looking in our direction.

?

“Here.” Ruvit forwarded a plate of peeled oranges in my direction.

“You know I don't like it when others touch my f—” He put a finger on my lips before I could complete the sentence, “Not others. But me.”

“What?” I asked as he answered, “I know you don't like others to touch your food. But others didn't peel off these oranges for you, I did.”

Now, when he is sitting on the study table and I'm sitting on the chair infront of him, it feels some sort of movie scene.

I had some work, actually a lot of work, especially after yesterday's scenario.

Since my business partners got to know about my real identity, they have gone crazy to extend our partnership.

Even the members of my company are mailing me continuously, congratulating and asking for an autograph.

So, Ruvit let me use his study room for all the work but this guy won't stop pampering me.

He is making sure I don't stress and overwork. He is taking care of me by bringing some fruits between intervals.

I chuckled and he asked, “What happened?”

“At this rate, everyone will call you joru ka gulam.” I leaned back on my chair to get a proper view of his pretty face.

“Do I look like I give a fuck?” He scoffed, “It actually feels like a compliment which means I succeeded in making my wife the happiest woman on this earth.”

My eyes went to his lips and then jawline before fixing them on his neck.

A small red mark was printed there and I remember it was given by me at the airport.

He looks more handsome when marked by me. I should mark him often. I smirked internally, giddiness bursting inside my bones.

Suddenly I felt a finger under my chin, lifting my face, “Don't make me call the purush helpline.”

“Shut up.” I yanked off his hand, turning my attention to my laptop screen to hide my red face.

Even though he is not in my line of vision, I could feel him smirking.

He leaned forward dropping to my ear's level, “You look absolutely beautiful when you stare at me like you own me.”

I looked up at him to tell him to leave this room but instantly, he brought a piece of an orange to my lips.

“Okay, I will behave.” He admitted, earning a nod from me as I ate the offered piece.

“By the way Ardhangini, Dhruv called to inform me that tomorrow is a reunion party from our schoolmates.”

“A reunion party?” I repeated and he nodded.

“No, nah, nope, we are not going. You don't have any idea there were numerous girls who used to crush over you. Your fangirls were literally crazy.”

“And what about you?” He asked, “Were you not my fangirl?”

“Absolutely not.” I narrowed my eyes, “Did you ever find me giving you a rose flower here and there or any love letter? No.”

“But you did have a crush.” He tilted his head, blocking my view.

“Yes and that's wae I used to curse all your fangirls. They literally made me feel so jealous.”

My eyes might have turned a deep shade of blue because of all the anger and all he do is laugh.

Pinching my cheeks, he said, “And what about all the boys who were head over heels for you, huh? Wae do you think they distanced themselves from you once I came in the picture?”

“Wae?” I smiled mischievously because I'm well aware of the reason.

I just want to hear it again and again.

He left my cheeks, “If anyone dared to show up near Aridhi or even looked in her direction, I will make sure you do your 10th again.”

He probably repeated the words he used on all of the boys of our class.

I giggled, “What kind of warning is that?”

“What?” He shrugged, “I didn't want to involve myself in a blood bath at such an early age.”

“So…you would kill for me?” I asked, suppressing my sensitive side whenever such kind of things are mentioned.

It only reminds me of my grandpa's accident.

“If needed.” He is serious about his answer, “Don't ask such questions again. I know you don't like it.”

I nodded. But a feeling of nostalgia remained.

“Ruvit…” I mumbled, “I still wanna find out about my grandfather's accident.”

Only then I would get rid of this sensitive side of my life.

His eyes flickered for a moment before his face turned soft again, “Okay. As you command, sweetheart.”
