Page 46 of ARIDHI: His Never-Ending Desire
I was giggling, blushing and what not while sitting in my room.
I couldn't sleep the whole night.
Happy with the fact that atleast she didn't let my confession go in vain.
She kissed me!!! It means she liked my confession.
It wasn't supposed to be like this though. I have planned to do so much more than this. Guess situations demanded it.
But I'm satisfied too. I expressed my true and genuine feelings for her. It must have affected her a little. ????
"Why are you blushing and giggling without any reason?" A frown in the tone reached my ears.
"My Ardhangini accepted my confession!" I answered, still giggling.
"What? Ardhangini? Ruvit, you are getting married to Aridhi. And you already started fooling around with some fling. Have some shame." He made a disgusted face.
"Aish." I hissed at my brother's voice and threw a pillow at his head.
"What was that for?" He asked, hitting me back, which I caught in my hands.
I acknowledged him with a bored expression before saying, "I have only one Ardhangini and that's Aridhi. I am not any Shahjahan who will marry numerous wives unnecessarily."
"Well Shahjahan built a monument for his wife atleast." Manish bro sat on the bed lazily.
"He cut off the fingers or even hands of all the workers, you know and that's very inhumane." I stated with a scoff.
Bro nodded, understanding the fact.
"I can even build a monument for my wife. But I want something to be exclusively present only for her." I added.
"So, what are your further plans?" He asked, making me giggle again.
"I already gifted her a warm and cozy home where she could enjoy her solace. Kind of a secret base. Now, I'm working on building a library in our house for her because she likes reading."
It would be the place of us. She will read and I will recreate each and every scene.
The idea came to my mind the night she gave herself to me.
"And then maybe I will think about a racing track too. I will even make a studio in front of my company where she can sing and I could keep my eyes on her all day."
Truth to be told, I have many plans for her. I'm just waiting for the day she will be officially mine.
Continuation from our married life, she won't live a single day being sad and stressed. I will make her the happiest woman alive.
"And maybe you can gift her this book too." Maa walked inside and forwarded a book towards me.
I took it and read the title as my brother joined me too, "The Business Mania"
I flipped the cover and its dedication came in my view.
To my daughter-in-law,
Thank you for giving me another chance
I thought I never needed again.
Thanks to your push, I'm back here.
It's all yours. Read it.
You deserve a happy ending.
"Since I'm like an Idol to Aridhi, I thought I should complete my book for her." Maa sat beside me and said.
"All you did to become her idol was just writing this book."
"So what?"
"If I write a book for her too, will I become her idol?" I stared at her, a faint smile appearing on her face.
"Men in love are just different creatures." She mumbled, her hand caressing her own cheek. Her eyes were closed.
She took a long breath before opening her eyes again, "Why do you want to become her Idol?"
"Uh, not any specific reason. But suddenly I wish to write a book for her."
And maybe since she started distancing herself from me, I could write letters for her too.
?
"Sir, you have an invitation." My secretary informed me.
While sitting in my cabin, I gestured for him to continue.
"The world's greatest business event is being held in Jaipur this year." My face fell down as soon as I heard my secretary.
World's business event, the one that happens after every 5 years. Sincerely not interested.
Who the fuck will stay away from Aridhi for so many days? Because that event can be as long lasting as plausible.
"Decline." My answer is straight with a hint of firmness.
Mr. Secretary was surprised at first but soon curt a nod and left.
Seriously? It isn't that big of a deal.
Anyways, I have to work on how to convince Aridhi for now.
I'm not going to waste my time away from her, no matter how big opportunity I have to sacrifice.
?
"I didn't see her today." The thought clicked in my mind as I stood on the terrace, cold air hitting my skin.
I did wrote a few letters for her as I planned but before posting them, I need to make sure she is the only receiver.
I turned on my phone, the wallpaper of her magnetic ocean blue eyes greeting me.
The time, 8:45 pm blinked back at me.
With a sigh, I opened whatsapp, scroll through Aridhi's number and thousands of unread messages.
I think I shouldn't be this desperate for her maybe. What if she lose interest?
My hand automatically went to click on her profile picture, providing me a view of her flaunting in a saree.
The control this woman has over me, damn.
I saved the picture to my gallery and posted it onto Instagram with one of her favourite songs.

Now, she has to definitely reply to my messages just like these people.
Before going down for the dinner, I decided to call her but her phone went switched off.
"She doesn't switch off her phone while sleeping." I mumbled to myself, striding down the stairs leading to the hallways.
"Oh you are here? Dinner is also ready." I heard the voice of Bhabhi from the dining area.
Everyone was sitting there.
"Uh Bhabhi, I have an emergency in the office. I will have it later." I lied.
If I say I'm going to Singhania mansion to check on Aridhi, they won't let me.
"Oh?" Her face covered with concern as she walked towards me, "Is everything fine with Aridhi?"
"How do you know?" I chuckled nervously.
Is it that obvious?
"You won't go office in a tshirt and sweatpants, right?" She pointed out.
Oh yeah.
"Besides, only Aridhi can make you this worried." She added.
"Everything is fine, Bhabhi. We just had a little fight." I don't know if Aridhi told Bhabhi about us so I can't even lie, not like I want to.
"I didn't get a chance to talk with her for 2 days because of all the rituals. Take care of her on my behalf too." She conveyed.
I acknowledged her with a small nod as I went to leave for Singhania's mansion.
I drove my car, breaking most of the speed limits and continuously dialing her number.
Every time it went switched off.
"Just be safe, Aridhi." I felt veins popping out of my forehead and neck as the concern took over me.
I immediately got off my car and stride inside the mansion once I was there.
"Aridhi-" My feets come to a halt when I saw everyone sitting on the dining table from the doorway.
Aarti aunty reached me upon hearing my voice, "Ruvit?"
"Namaste aunty!" I bent down to touch her feet.
She patted my head before giving her blessings, "Jeete raho."
(Keep on living.)
I stood straight infront of her, my eyes roaming behind her.
"Yaha itni raat ko? Kuch kaam tha?" She asked.
(Here so late at night? Had some work?)
"Uhm-yeah. Actually I want to ask if Aridhi is fine or not." I answered her with an anxious tone.
"What would happen to her?" She moved her hand in an assuring way.
"She isn't picking up my phone, it's switched off." Maybe I'm overthinking. She might have been sleeping peacefully.
But I have to be sure otherwise I won't be able to sleep tonight.
"Hey bhagwan! Phone nhi utha rhi vo?" She facepalmed, loud enough to let others hear her voice.
(Oh my god! She is not picking up the phone?)
Manish bhaiya came behind his mother, followed by Abhir.
"Maa, calm down! She might be sleeping." Manish bhaiya hold his mother's shoulder.
"I warned you na don't send her Jaipur alone!!" Aunty shook her head in anticipation and I felt the ground underneath my feets shaking.
Jaipur? She went to Jaipur? ALONE?
"What if something happened to her?" The concern in aunty's voice awakened.
"Maa, di is fine. You know how she is. She switches off her phone after every flight to rest." Abhir assured, standing beside her.
She really went to Jaipur. She didn't tell me. I feel like crying. Am I that bad?
I cleared my throat, "I should leave."
Manish bhaiya nodded, "Don't worry about her. As Abhir said, she is just like that."
You don't need to tell me that, I'm aware about my Ardhangini.
It's just that I wasn't aware of the fact that she has taken a flight for Jaipur.
Manish bhaiya walked inside with his mother, leaving Abhir with me.
"She didn't tell you." He narrowed his eyes.
And how the fuck this kiddo figured out about this?
"She did tell me." I feigned, "Don't overthink your little brain."
"Whatever buddy." He patted my shoulder, "You are not going to that business event by the way?"
A sudden realisation hit my mind at Abhir's words. And I blame myself for being such a fool.
Aridhi is also a deserved businesswoman!! How could I forget that she can be invited to that business event too?
The fuck is wrong with me.
I ran a hand through my hair, "We will talk later about this topic."
I immediately walked out from the mansion, sat in my car and drove to my house.
"Ardhangini, you shouldn't be that cruel to me." I mumbled to myself.
She could ATLEAST inform me about her flight and invitation to that event.
Is she that desperate to stay away from me? I won't let that happen though.
I took out my phone and tracked her location.
Since my baby has a stalker kink, I don't think it's wrong to invade her privacy for a while.
Wait, why I didn't do this before? Fuck, girlfriend effect is real. I'm getting dumber day by day.
I called Dhruv next. He didn't pick. I called again. He didn't pick. I called again and again and finally after the 11th call, he picked up.
"Wtf man. It's a sin to disturb a man who was having fun with his girlfriend, you know." His voice was raspy and breathy.
I don't need the image of what he might be doing with Nandini.
"We will count my sins later. First get ready my private jet to Jaipur as soon as possible." I nearly snarled on the speaker.
"What? Why?" He asked.
"Just do it." I put the phone near my ear as I stopped the car infront of my house, which I reached in 15 minutes.
I have to leave a note for Maa otherwise she will be worried.
"Fineee." I can feel him frowning.
I walked inside the house as the guards opened the gates.
All the lights were closed, indicating that everyone went to sleep.
I walked to the kitchen, because it is the first place where Maa would come right in the morning.
Taking a sticky note, I wrote about my flight to Jaipur and the reason and pasted it on the fridge.
Another note came in my view, 'Your dinner is ready, don't go to bed hungry.'
I feel bad to not obey Maa's instructions but I don't have time for that right now.
I wrote sorry under her note and left for the office next.
I need to collect that damn invitation. And I swear I will kill my secretary if he happened to throw that away.
?
After having a conversation more like an argument with my secretary, I finally got the invitation.
He must have thought that I got two heads, I declined it so fast in the morning and now was so desperate at night.
Anyways, I parked my car in the office garage and Dhruv came to pick me up from there.
We drove to the private area where my private jet was ready. Because ofcourse who will hustle for an aeroplane and all that flight stress?
"You don't need clothes? I mean it's a big event." I heard Dhruv's voice, interrupting my thoughts.
"I will get them ready in Jaipur. You know the event starts day after tomorrow." I replied, glancing at the invitation in my hands.
We exchanged a hug before I bid him bye and walked towards the jet.
"Welcome sir, we will reach Jaipur in an hour." The pilot informed which I reciprocated with a nod.
?
The land of Jaipur greeted my feet in no time. And at the same time, my head welcomed a stringing pain.
That's because I haven't eaten anything since the morning but that's the last thought on my mind for now.
I opened my phone to check about her location. And Gotcha!
Starlight Hotel, 3rd floor, Room no. 45
I straight took an uber and it was fast enough to drop me at the hotel in just 20 minutes.
It's going to be 12:00 am, that is midnight, soon.
Thanks fuck checking in the hotel is still open otherwise I have to go with my billionaire ways.
"Sir, most of the rooms are booked. And the empty ones aren't your preference." The receptionist said in her professional tone.
"Don't worry about it, there is my fiancee in one of the rooms. Her name is-"
"Aridhi Agarwal!!" The receptionist cut me off, earning a glare from me.
She feigned it with an awkward chuckle with a hint of guilty.
Of course everyone knows about our engagement.
It was private but the next day headlines hit the newspapers and TV channels in bold characters.
'The renowned Business King, Mr. Ruvit Rathore and Ms. Aridhi Agarwal, the business lady with beauty and wits has finally tied the knot of their engagement.'
I liked the sound of that, by the way.
"Let me inform her." The receptionist went through her computer with god knows what.
"No, don't. I'm here to give her a surprise." I said, my voice unusual.
She nodded, gave me the spare keys and guided me towards Aridhi's room.
Just wait Baby till you will be in my arms again. And I need to give you a punishment to keep this thing a secret from me.
You came Jaipur for the business event. And I followed you here to claim you once again, more officially this time.
Since the business event is a live broadcast on international shows, everyone will know about us, more properly.
