Page 52 of ARIDHI: His Never-Ending Desire
Some people say that psychopaths aren't made, they are born. On the same note, some believe in its vice versa.
However, according to me, neither of the two justifies the psychopaths at all.
Because they can be born like any normal individual and given the same treatment as them.
But it's all their mindset which gives them an extraordinary taste of their life.
Their unusual tendencies to think might just be the consequence of their different perspectives, justifying that they are not actually made.
In fact, they just discover a new way of an already existing process. And as this cycle continues, they find a new personality in themselves.
Everyone receives some kind of judgement in their life and normal human beings care about being judged.
However, psychopaths simply don't.
I believe that a psychopath is just a word a human kept for a human, who behaves unusually different from a human.
Speaking about psychopaths, there is one standing at the back stage, covering her head with a shawl.
Let's ask her what she is up to.
"Hey grandma, what a pleasant surprise." I say in a sarcastic tone I barely use.
She flinched and turned around to look at me while shivering.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, my expression was almost serious by now.
"Uhh..Ruvit?" She trembled.
"What? Shocked to see me knowing well that it should be the opposite?" I crossed my arms and placed it on my chest.
"I-It's not what you think!" She defended, her low voice still hesitant, "I'm here for some work."
"Fool others, not me. We share the same blood." I lifted my shoulder, "Unfortunately."
She gritted her teeth, totally helpless.
It was her fault to assume that she could go unnoticed by me.
Maybe I was already expecting this kind of scene because I'm aware what schemes she is capable of plotting.
When I was leaving the auditorium at first, I got a glimpse of her, hiding behind the cameras.
Even in those two seconds, her disappointed face was all I saw.
Whatever, It's not like I exist to entertain her or anyone particular beside my woman.
"Why are you here?" I asked coolly.
"I can't tell you that." She offered an answer, not providing enough satisfaction.
I lifted up my brow at her, "You are here for Manya, aren't you?"
Her face went pale and her eyes widened in shock.
Interesting.
Her expressions justifies her actions.
"What have you plot this time?" I scoffed.
When Aridhi showed everyone that grandma and Ananya were behind Bhabhi's replacement, I didn't know what to say.
I simply shrugged off the matter because it didn't matter to me and it was already solved by Aridhi.
But now that I think about that day, I regret not teaching this woman a lesson.
She is my grandmother, who has loved and cared about me since childhood.
When mum was busy with household work, she used to be there for me.
And maybe I can never hate her.
However now I see her in front of me supporting Manya once again, I lost every urge to not cross my limits.
And since I know really well that Manya is snatching Aridhi's position, I have an urge to kill that girl.
Even my Ardhangini literally thought that she could hide her identity from me.
The confidential partnership we did happened because of jealousy but it revealed something I didn't expect.
The way she used to slay in every meeting, the way she carried herself in all the business matters was enough proof for me.
I saw myself in her. I felt as if she was just like me in the opposite gender.
Keeping all this aside, she didn't even realise when she, by herself, gave me the biggest proof today.
She trembled after seeing Manya getting acknowledged as the Business Queen.
With not an ounce, she would be scared of Manya after how she handled everything at the wedding.
Aridhi was scared of getting her title, hardwork and dedication snatched.
She can fool anyone but not me. She can hide herself from the world but I'm an exception.
Though I'm hurt that she doesn't tell me anything by herself but nevermind.
Her soul is connected with me, her body is made for me to worship, her spirits are known by me.
I stepped closer to grandma with my intimidating aura.
"I'm giving you a last chance grandma. Tell me what you and Manya are planning or you want me to drop off Rathore from my name?"
Her eyes twitched with a sense of fear.
Of course, blood is thicker than water. And what she most cares about is her blood, her empire, her legacy.
Manish bhaiya is already out of sight and now she can't afford me.
"N-No Ruvit. N-No please." She stammered, "I will tell you everything but I thought you and Aridhi aren't together anymore."
"And why do you think so?" I asked calmly.
"I saw a video on the internet. You two were arguing in a hotel restaurant." She gulped.
My hand formed into a punch, veins popping up due to the anger raging in them.
Video? Internet? Huh?
"Through the internet or through a stalker?" My tone dripped with pure anger.
It all makes sense after all. She was keeping an eye on me and Aridhi through that bloody stalker.
She doesn't use “internet” to that extent and I removed every post from the internet regarding that matter.
What? That act was just to fool that stalker, not the world.
He believed the act and maybe informed grandma. So, there was no need to make a public show on that topic.
"What stalker?" She shook her head but I can see the way she is sweating.
"Don't lie." I warned, making her shiver, "Okay leave the stalker part, just tell me what you are planning with Manya?"
"What would I plan with her? She is the Business Queen and revealed it in front of the public. And I didn't plan any stalkers."
What a liar and a bipolar she is.
"Ohh? Then tell me what you are doing here?" I pointed at her appearance.
She licked her lips while looking around as if searching for an answer.
"I told you na I saw that video on the internet so I just wanted to check on you two. And I sneaked in here because they weren't allowing me entry."
"Surely everyone knows whose grandmother you are, no?"
For god sake, no one could even touch her as long as the world knows whose grandmother she is.
Also, Rathore's name isn't that little.
So, this is clearly an excuse. A white lie.
"Uh-they didn't recognise me, I guess." She laughed awkwardly.
"They didn't recognise the lady who herself said about her grandson being the Business King on an international tv?"
I raised my eyebrows when her face dropped, "Stop making it difficult grandma and just answer me."
She opened her mouth but suddenly a loud noise echoed from the auditorium.
I looked at her, "You owe me a proper explanation. Don't assume that it's over."
I left her and made my way towards the source of the noise. Aridhi is my first priority and I need to check on her.
This conversation doesn't matter to me anyway as I understood most of the situation.
The rest would be handled by my queen.
I stopped outside the auditorium, the big doors were opened wide.
Aridhi was standing at the entrance with a little smirk on her face.
Fuck, her face card never disappoints. It's literally the reason for whom men go to the wars for.
Everyone looked at her with different reactions — confusion, amusement, shock and etc.
Aridhi chuckled briefly, "Let me introduce myself once again since some of you are misunderstanding my identity."
She stepped inside the auditorium slowly, her heels touching the red carpet.
Her body left no chance of embarrassment as it moved rhythmically with her movements.
I followed her with my hands in my pants pocket, maintaining some distance between us so that she remains in the limelight.
One of the men stood up probably to accuse Aridhi.
I glared at him, keeping my index finger on my lips to give him a warning.
He shut his mouth and sat down obediently. These lowlife people, ugh.
"Everyone knows that I'm Aridhi Agarwal, one of the chief guests for today's fabulous event." Her voice echoed in the auditorium.
Currently, she is looking nothing less than any lioness.
Everyone else around her are mere animals who are just looking at her and listening to her.
"But no one knows beyond that part and for that let me show you all something."
She pressed a button on her mobile phone, causing the big screen in front of us to go black.
A footage appeared, attracting everyone's attention.
A similar setting. The footage resembles today's event and arrangements in every form.
“At just the age of 21, this young miss has gained the highest title of the business field.” The host in the footage announced in the mic.
This hits my nostalgia. It's the footage of the day I received the official title of Business King.
“Congratulations to the first ever lady to become the youngest global businesswoman.” The host further added.
I remember this particular scene.
At that time, I didn't know who might own such a superior title but now I'm clearly aware.
My eyes shifted to Aridhi's back figure. My lioness is absolutely superior.
“Unfortunately, we don't know anything about her except some basic information through her business. But let's just acknowledge this fabulous woman and respect her privacy.”
She paused the video, everyone's attention drifting back to her.
"I would like to ask Ms. Varishth how old she is right now." Aridhi directed her question at Manya, making her gulp.
Hmm..there is no doubt Manya is older than Aridhi and she can't be 21 five years ago.
"What kind of question is this and what's with this fake video?" She chuckled sarcastically, masking her anxiety.
The gossip arose in the background. People started whispering to each other.
"This is the footage from the business event five years ago when Ruvit was crowned. Isn't it Mr. director?"
Aridhi spoke out in a domineering tone, pointing at the former director of the business administration.
The said person nodded, "This video is absolutely original. But Ms. Agarwal, what are you planning to do with all this?"
"Ms. Agarwal is just accusing me for nothing." Manya interrupted, "Actually she holds a grudge against me and that's why she is ruining my special day."
This woman is only making a fool of herself by underestimating Aridhi.
"Wae would I hold a grudge against you knowing well that currently you are in that position?"
Manya slightly gritted her teeth on Aridhi's witty statement.
If Aridhi told everyone about what she did at Bhaiya's wedding, she would run away out of humiliation.
And she is still trying to protest?
"Ms. Agarwal, I'm the daughter of one of the biggest international traders. Isn't it obvious enough that I took after him and acquired such skills?"
"Ohh?" Aridhi smirked, "So now we are gonna talk about family genetics? Okay then."
"Ms. Agarwal, stop creating a scene here just for attention." She gulped.
This woman doesn't have an ounce of confidence and she dared accusing the confidence queen?
Taking a side profile of Aridhi, I saw her rolling her eyes, a smug smile still present on her face.
"War." One word and everyone looked at Aridhi with shocked expressions, including me.
Like the fuck, wae Aridhi is suddenly mentioning ‘War’..?
Manya's face went pale, her trembling hands speaking everything she couldn't.
"The godlike presence that ever existed in the world of business, War, is my grandfather." Aridhi said as if this is something casual.
Even the director stood up from his seat, his subordinates following him. They joined their hands in front of Aridhi.
In no time, everyone dropped on their knees, and yes including me.
Because oh my god, today it all makes sense wae Aridhi is such a goddess.
"Vignesh Agarwal, known as the ‘War’ is my grandfather. Since he died rather mysteriously, we let it go."
She clicked a button, a photo replacing the black screen.
A photo of 18 years old Aridhi with her grandfather, who is literally the ‘war’ in the business field.
Everyone stared at the picture with widened eyes, almost not believing that it's all true.
Meanwhile, the photo shook me with guilt. I didn't even kill her grandfather in that accident but also the almighty businessman.
I remembered meeting him a few times.
He used to appreciate me so much but since his family background was always confidential, I didn't get to know anything about his family.
I never heard about him from Aridhi either.
Aridhi turned to look at me and sighed. She walked towards me and crouched in front of me.
She is wearing heels and this position would give pain in her feet.
God, this woman is just built differently.
"Mr. Rathore I need to slay here with you behind me. You are not supposed to be on your knees for anyone other than me." She whispered seductively.
Seriously Mrs. Rathore?
I stole a peck on her lips, "Don't test my patience at such a moment darling."
She looked stunned but regained her composure. Her cheeks tinted pink.
"Uhm-Let's finish this and then you don't have to hold your patience anymore."
We stood up straight while holding hands for a brief minute.
"I'm just waiting for tonight." I whispered in her ear, making her gulp.
Everyone turned their heads in our direction.
Some of the reporters started capturing the scene in their cameras.
"Mr. Agarwal was definitely the best businessman to ever exist but unfortunately we lost him after that terrible accident. The media said that someone removed all the data regarding that case. Was it your family?"
My eyes shifted to Aridhi when the director asked the question, out of curiosity or guilt, I don't know.
Since I don't remember anything about that incident, I tried to search for it.
But I didn't find even a trace of that accident so who actually removed it and wae.
There are many theories I have concluded over this topic and yeah all the theories are somehow related to me.
Maybe Aridhi has some answers.
"It was not our family." Aridhi replied and while glancing at me, she added, "But I would figure out who was behind that situation."
"Everyone, even if she is War's granddaughter, it doesn't mean she will do anything!" Manya threw an ugly smirk in Aridhi's direction.
"She can." The director was about to shut off Manya but a familiar feminine voice stopped him.
My head snapped back in her direction.
Grandma walked inside the auditorium, perfectly dressed in her usual branded saree and jewelry.
Am I hearing right? She just raised a voice for Aridhi. Or maybe she just wants to play the victim card by standing against Manya in front of me.
"Wae your grandma is here?" Aridhi narrowed her eyes while muttering so that only I could hear.
I shrugged, "I don't know."
Everyone welcomed grandma with pure gratitude.
Seriously? A few minutes ago she said no one recognised her and denied her entry.
"No one dares to speak with Aridhi in that tone Ms. Varishth! I will sue you for defaming Rathore's daughter-in-law."
Grandma yelled, making Manya absolutely anxious and on the verge of a breakdown.
Aridhi and I looked at each other, the same thought running in our minds.
"Has she gone crazy?" Our eyes conveyed.
The director approached grandma, "Don't worry Mrs. Rathore, we will get her kicked out."
"What?" Manya shouted, "I'm the Business Queen. How dare you kick me out?"
"Ms. Varishth, it would be good if you drop your acting now because as much as everyone has observed you till now, no one actually agrees that you are really the Business Queen."
Other chief guests started to argue.
"Yeah! She doesn't even know how to handle situations with confidence." Media erupted.
"Ms. Agarwal accused her with totally understandable rights. She isn't the Business Queen at any cost. Kick her out!"
The other audience and reporters shouted at Manya.
Aridhi sighed beside me, "Your grandma is the real gangster here. She just announced me as her daughter-in-law and everyone started defaming Manya."
I chuckled when she fake cried.
Grandma could have other intentions behind this drama but for the first time in her life, she stood for Aridhi.
It hit me then.
She might be supporting Aridhi because of her grandfather, no?
"I wasn't my plan alone. It was her who told me to do so!" Manya pointed at grandma with anger.
"Yes I did because I wanted to reveal your true personality. Despite being the daughter of Varishth's, you are nothing but a waste." Grandma tsked.
People gathered to kick Manya out but she was just glaring at grandma furiously.
Guards held her arms from either side, pulling her with themselves.
But suddenly she started laughing manically.
"Haha Mrs. Rathore, didn't you tell me to snatch Aridhi's position? You made me come here and made the higher ups believe that I was the Business Queen by using Aridhi's confidential documents that you stole from her office. And now you scammed me."
"Damn." Aridhi muttered.
Everyone looked between Manya and grandma with confusion and shock written all over their faces.
Meanwhile I stood there crossing my arms and giving death glares at grandma.
This woman was already suspicious enough and now what?
What the hell is even going on here?
I just wanted to show this Manya her place, not to create drama here.
Neither was I in a mood to reveal my identity yet, atleast not in such an unexpected way.
She was already getting on my nerves and then Ruvit's grandmother also joined her.
The story don't ends here.
If Manya is speaking truth, then it means she had joined hands with Ruvit's grandmother.
It's okay if she figured out that I'm the Business Queen. I didn't actually try to hide it well.
Ruvit figured it out too, probably because of our partnership.
I got so comfortable around him privately that I forgot to act indifferent in business matters.
But Ruvit's grandmother dared to come to my office and steal my confidential documents, like hell?
This level of scam is not acceptable.
And now here we are standing among so many high profiled authorities.
She is by herself defaming Manya to play innocence.
I tsked. I thought she was genuinely defending me as her daughter-in-law.
"Huh! Do you all believe this fake woman over me? She is just trying to take me down because I showed her true face in front of everyone."
I stared at her when she lied so perfectly that it sounded almost true.
Ruvit traced his fingers on my arm and eventually intertwined his hand with mine causing butterflies in my stomach.
"Shall we go back to the hotel's room to celebrate our night?" He whispered huskily, earning a light slap from me on his shoulder.
The director gestured something to the guards. They immediately took Manya out.
"We believe you, Mrs. Rathore!" Another chief guest chirped.
So easily? Wae they have no questions about how Manya made everyone believe that she was the Business Queen?
How did higher ups allow her to come here?
So many questions are still unanswered and they are just letting it go.
However, I believe that Manya was actually speaking the truth about grandma helping her with my documents.
I will find out.
"What about the actual Business Queen!?" The audience suddenly started asking, making the reporters crazy.
"Go on," Ruvit hit his shoulder with mine, "show them who is their queen."
Glancing at Ruvit's proud smirk, a smile lifted my lips.
"My grandson's Ardhangini is the Business Queen by all means." Grandma snatched a mic from a nearby reporter and announced.
I opened my phone as it was already connected with the screen and revealed my latest project.
Everyone hooted when a presentation showed up on the screen.
The presentation is all about my new project which includes a racing track for every car and bike lover.
Having Ruvit beside me, we walked on the red carpet towards the stage.
"Okay, let's start our event once again by having our REAL celebrities on the stage." The host spoke on the mic in full enthusiasm.
Everyone gave a big round of applause to us.
Ruvit stepped up on the stage before offering me his hand. I took it as he pulled me up.
“Today's headlines: The honorable business couple, Mr. Ruvit Rathore and Ms. Aridhi Agarwal set fire on the business event.”
Ruvit's hand suddenly came on my waist as he pulled me closer to his side.
It was then I noticed that reporter wanted to take our pictures.
I smiled at the camera but my cheeks started feeling hot. And I'm well aware wae.
Looking back at Ruvit, I found him staring in my direction instead of the cameras.
I tapped his cheek before pointing at the camera, "There Mr. Rathore."
"Don't you know I am not able to take my eyes off of you, Mrs. Rathore." He pulled me closer shamelessly.
Everyone gasped, even the hostess's face turned red.
I kept my hand on his chest, a nostalgic feeling rising inside me.
The day of Ridhima's engagement when his grandmother announced his marriage with Ananya.
He declined it right at that moment and clicked pictures with me as her ‘bestie’.
And now here we are, soon to be an official couple.
"Uhm, pictures are done." The lady coughed beside us with a smile on her face.
Ruvit loosened his grip on me as we sat on the sofas.
The lady took a seat in front of us asking me a few formal questions about my upcoming project.
I answered them professionally without any problem but someone's gaze made it a bit difficult.
"Stop staring at me Ruvit." I said in a hush tone when the hostess's attention was on the screen.
He bit his lower lip and damn it was seductive.
"Baby, there is grace in elegance and beyond elegance there lies perfection and then there is you, an epitome of absolute masterpiece." He winked.
My heart skipped a beat just now.
God, this man. I found the most perfect man to ever exist!
(A/N: May every gurl reading it finds a man like this in real ????)
"Let's start our crowning ceremony now!" The hostess stated in front of the audience.
My eyes suddenly felt heavy. Finally the moment I have been waiting for almost five years.
I wiped the unshed tear from my eyes and faced the audience sitting in front of me.
The director came on the stage.
Shaking hands with me, he forwarded the golden certificate to me.
The reflection and golden border of the certificate did something in my heart.
You see it dadu, I did it.
With a bit trembling hands, I held the certificate and smiled brightly when it was completely in my hands.
To ARIDHI AGARWAL!
You deserve it, The Business Queen.
This is one of those moments I'm gonna cherish my whole life.
Imprinted in golden letters, my name would always be on top from now on.
The lady manager of business administration came on the stage and draped the ceremonial sash on my shoulder.
“Business Queen” was written on it in golden cursive writing.
And finally the crown time!
~·~
Let's keep it in next chapter because it's a special moment ??
Most of the chapter was all about arguments so I added Aridhi's POV in it too.
It took me time because I need to remember all the scenes related to this topic so I found those chapters before writing this one ??
Anyways I don't wanna rush so just enjoy the story as it goes! ???
