Page 43 of ARIDHI: His Never-Ending Desire

(A/N: Play your favourite song while reading this chapter.)

The darkness of the night faded as I see fairy lights in front of my eyes.

The Amusement Park stood in an open large ground, leaving all the city's noise far behind.

As Ruvit said, he will brought it if it will be closed but it was not.

But yeah it was sure crowded. However, the crowd disappeared in just a few minutes.

Because the man standing beside me booked the whole amusement park for us two only.

It wasn't necessary though but fine at the same time. He knows I am not a social person.

I don't care about the world but somewhere it does affects. And one needs to accept that fact.

We walked around the amusement park, tried some mini games and talked about random stuffs.

It wasn't a bit boring but nothing much exciting than the shooting game before me.

I pulled Ruvit with me as we stood near it.

"You know shooting?" Ruvit asked, standing beside me.

"Uh-huh." I agreed with a confident streak.

I picked up the rifle from the counter, loaded it with fake bullets and aimed for a pink box.

I don't know what's going to be inside it and that makes it more thrilling.

I pulled the rifle near my chest while supporting it from the front with my left hand.

As my right hand went to press the trigger, I felt the warmth of a familiar person.

And there is no way I won't recognise my favorite fragrance.

Ruvit was right standing behind me.

"What are you—" My defence mechanism suddenly turned on when Ruvit's hand came under my left hand.

"Shh. I know you can do it but let me do it for you." He whispered while his face came to my shoulder level.

I blushed at how huskier his voice went out at Shh.

His other hand slipped on to the trigger.

Numerous butterflies took flight in my stomach at the sudden close proximity of our bodies.

I can feel his legs touching my legs in the process.

I can feel his hard muscled chest pressing my back.

And oh! How can I forgot his hot breath fanning across my cheeks and neck.

Beautiful how our hands are wrapped around a rifle.

He pulled the trigger and it hit right on the box.

I looked at his side profile as a satisfied smirk bloomed on his face.

He turned in my direction and I turned crimson from his mere glance.

I snapped away. He expressed a low chuckle before pressing his lips on my cheek.

Soon the box was in my hands as I started unwrapping it.

Different types of chocolates were present in the box. But my eyes went for my favourite one.

Gotcha. I picked up a 100 rupee of Kit Kat and tore apart its wrapper.

I break one piece of it and took in my mouth.

Slowly and very slowly I chewed it to engrave its rich chocolatey taste on my taste buds.

I nearly moaned and it was when Ruvit came in my peripheral vision.

"Go away, I don't share my favourite things!" I pouted as I took another bite.

"You can share your favourite things with your favourite man!" Before I could process his words, his lips captured mine.

My mouth opened unintentionally, giving him permission to feel the taste of chocolate indirectly.

Our tongues clashed when I moaned slightly, both at the feel of his lips and chocolate's sensation.

?

We went for Bowling even though It's not my cup of tea.

But with Ruvit, it went enjoyable. He taught me how to play.

However, his time to time little kisses were more enjoyable.

After that, for the first time I saw fear in Ruvit's eyes.

Like I thought he was a stone man who is not afraid of anything but I was proven wrong.

I broke out laughing when I saw Ruvit screaming on the roller coaster.

Thanks to my phone, I was able to click some of his hilarious pictures.

We tried Bumper cars and damn he was taking revenge there.

He literally made me flinch too many times by bumping his car in mine out of the blue.

Now, I'm convincing him for a Ferris wheel but he wants to try horror house instead.

"Wheel wala!!" I shouted.

"Bhoot bangla!!" He curt out.

Perks of having a stubborn boyfriend.

"Okay, okay." I sighed and he grinned victoriously.

?

They didn't even try.

Yeah, I know these are all real people who are dressed up as ghosts.

But they are not even looking like some fake ghosts.

Moreover, the interior isn't as scary as I thought it to be.

Basically, it's so boring. I never knew Ruvit has interest in this thing.

I peeked at him. And he was just walking straight with a grumpy face.

He seems pissed off. But wae? I even agreed with his choice.

"Are you not enjoying it?" I asked calmly, even though it's not present in me right now.

"Who the hell even enjoys this shit?" He sounded angry.

"You were the one who wanted to explore this shit!" I narrowed my eyes.

He looked at me and came closer to my ear.

"I thought you were going to hug me whenever some scary shit comes in front of us but here you are, meeting them like they are your long lost friends."

I chuckled nervously as I don't know what to say.

"Let's make it interesting." He whispered near my neck while sniffing there.

"How?" I blushed at the sensation.

"Run."

I snapped my head at him. Did I hear it wrong?

He smirked looking at my shocked face.

"Run. If I catch you, I–"

I pressed my hand on his mouth before he could complete that sentence.

THIS GUY NEEDS TO STOP READING MY BOOKS!!

He held my hand from his mouth and dropped a kiss there.

"Chillax. I was about to say that if I catch you, I will hug you."

"Seems like a lie to me."

He laughed seeing my puffed face.

?

"Now Ferris wheel!!" I squealed happily while intertwining my hand with his.

He smiled and held me closer.

"Ruv!" I called out suddenly.

"Hnji?" He replied as he turned his attention to me.

"I love you." The confession went out my mouth, making him blush.

His ears turned red as he looked away.

The smile spread wider on my face.

I'm not even disappointed about he didn't confess back.

Actually I'm not even expecting that from him. In my view, Love is unconditional and it shouldn't have expectations.

If a person truly loves you, he will always give bigger and better than your expectations.

I will wait until he confess.

Just by looking at Ruvit and in his eyes, one could clearly point out that he loves me.

Basically, Love isn't just about words, it's in actions and efforts.

"Aru!!" Ruvit pinched my cheeks, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Ouch it hurts!" I slapped his hand away, "You are a baddie." I made a dramatic crying face.

He didn't say anything. So, I peeked at him for inquiry.

To my surprise, he was already staring at me with admiration.

I parted my lips but no words came out.

He suddenly grinned and in a minute, scooped me in his arms.

"Ruv!" I held his shoulder for support, "what are you doing?"

"Just wanted to hold and feel you in my arms." While still carrying me in bridal style, he walked over to the Ferris wheel.

We took our seats as it rotated.

"Wow!" The city lights came in my view, making it more magnificent from this angle.

Everything looked tiny as we moved higher and higher.

"You know there is a legend about the Ferris wheel." I spoke, breaking the comfortable silence.

"What is it?" He shifted closer to my side.

I took his view from my eyes and pulled out my phone from my jean's pocket.

"How about I show you practically?" I suggested and waited for the wheel to reach the highest point.

I held the phone in front of us as I captured Ruvit's lips with mine.

He immediately responded back to it while I tapped on the camera's button.

The click sound was the indication for me to pull away but Ruvit didn't let me.

He pulled me once again in a passionate long kiss.

"Wae do you test my patience everytime?" He huffed, taking in air.

"I don't think I need to test that. I know you lost all of it around me!" I replied sassily.

"What was the legend about anyway?" He asked.

I stared at the photo before setting it as my home screen wallpaper.

"Are you dumb?" I turned at him, "Couples usually kiss at the Ferris wheel when it reaches the top point."

He frowned, looking confused.

"Leave it, you idiot." I insisted and showed him my phone's wallpaper, "Have a look at this."

"Did you remove my pic?" He growled.

"Which pic?"

"The one we set as the matching wallpapers!"

"Ohh, that of 12th class? Well no, I didn't remove it." I turned off my phone and then turned it on again.

(A/N: mentioned in chapter 26*)

"See, it's here on the lock screen."

He didn't look satisfied at all.

Before I could ask him what was wrong, he got off the Ferris wheel as it stopped at the bottom point.

I followed him but he was walking way too fast.

I tried to match his pace but couldn't due to his long stupid legs.

"Ruv!! Wait for me." I called out from behind.

His speed reduced and soon matched mine. But I was huffing by that time.

When did my stamina become that low?

I glanced at him only to find him looking at me with a grumpy expression.

Again!!

"Are you angry?" I asked the oblivious. I don't know the reason though.

"No. I'm just trying to be happy but my face isn't cooperating!" He replied sarcastically.

"C'mon Ruvi, don't throw tantrums." I coaxed, wrapping my arms around his neck.

He looked away, providing me the look of his side profile.

I tiptoed and kissed him on the cheek.

"Don't be angry Baby. Come, I will buy you an ice-cream." I said, stepping back.

I was about to walk towards the ice-cream parlour when a big hand came around my waist.

Ruvit pulled me back, his hand sliding down to cup my hips, "You will catch a cold."

"Oh please, don't try to become my father!" I rolled my eyes playfully.

"I prefer daddy over father." He whispered against my ear in his damn hard voice.

"Shut up, you perv!!" I pushed him away and hid my burning cheeks from him.

"I haven't done such actions yet which could justify the 'perv' word." He said, walking behind me.

"The devil never sends an invitation before taking humans to hell." I fought.

"This devil takes you to heaven, baby." He flirted, standing behind me while I took the ice-cream.

"Wae were you angry?" I rotated my body at him while giving him his scoop of ice-cream.

"Does it make me a fool if I say I set that childhood photo on my home screen?" He took the ice-cream from my hand.

"Then what's on your lock screen?" I asked while licking my ice-cream.

He stared at me with that playful dark black eyes before shoving his phone in my hand.

I turned it on, provided it the password and as the brightness of the phone captured my eyes, I lost in them.

Are they really my e-eyes?

I caressed the photo on the screen as bright ocean blue eyes reflected back at me.

They look devastating. Anyone could get lost in them, for no doubt.

He lifted up my chin and stared directly into my soul.

"Apni nazar se mat dekh khud ko, heera bhi tujhe pathar lagega.

Sab kehte honge chand ka tukda hain tu, meri nazar se dekh, chand tera hi tukda lagega."

(Don't look at yourself with your eyes, even a diamond will seem like a stone to you. Everyone had said that you are a piece of the moon, but look with my eyes, the moon will seem like a piece of you.)

His eyes bored into mine as we stood under the moonlight.

My lips stretched into a smile and he smiled back.

I let myself fall in his embrace, taking care of the ice-cream.

Who needs those 3 words when I can get to hear such beautiful compliments?

"Let's go for dinner now." He suggested and I went with the flow.

?

The combination of black and brown decorated the interior of the restaurant.

The place is cozy yet elegant.

Ruvit booked it whole for us two, as he did with the amusement park.

This is our first dinner date!!

It's thrilling in my bones. It's just I should had wore some pretty dress but nevermind.

One of the waitor greeted us and we acknowledged him.

"So finally you two are an actual couple?" An old man in his 60s walked towards us in his business attire.

Ruvit greeted him professionally as the old man continued.

"Haha..You two were all over on the news channel weeks ago!"

Ruvit nodded at him and kept his hand on my shoulder as a gesture of assurance.

I immediately felt at ease.

The old man talked with Ruvit some more time before he finally left.

Ruvit told me about that old man's son who is Ruvit's business partner.

Ruvit pulled out a chair for me and I sat on it.

He circled the table only to pull his chair beside me.

"You are supposed to sit infront of me." I laughed out as a joke when he settled down.

"As much as I had like to sit infront of you, I prefer sitting beside you to keep you close." He kept his arm behind my chair.

This man! I know my cheeks turned pink and to hide them, I decided to go through the menu.

"Moreover, I won't be able to eat my food while staring at you." He kept his eyes on me.

"Wae?" I pretended to read the menu.

"I don't think I could focus on food when such a delicacy will be sitting right infront of me." He bent towards me and bit my earlobe.

"You are unbelievable." I giggled, "By the way you didn't ask me properly about the Bf-Gf thing." I tried to change the subject.

I felt his big presence towering over me. I looked up to match his intense gaze.

He kneeled down infront of me and forwarded his hand.

I placed my hand on his as he dropped a kiss there.

His other hand came from behind, holding a red rose.

I want to gasp so hard right now.

I literally wanna scream.

This thing feels so dreamy! Exactly what someone could read in books or saw in movies.

Grey colour fog covered the surroundings as a low melody broke out in the background.

"Will you be my girlfriend, Aridhi?" He asked.

Before I could answer anything, he facepalmed to himself.

"No wait–" He stated, "Will you give me this golden privilege to be your boyfriend, Aridhi?"

He forwarded the rose — Idk where he got that from — towards me while asking again.

I loosened my hand from his grip to cover my mouth.

Tears of happiness escaped my eyes as I stood up from the chair.

He stood too and looked at me with a worried expression.

"Wae are you crying baby?" He cupped my cheeks.

"Did I messed up? Sorry Sweetheart. I'm extremely sorry." He gently wiped the tears with his thumb.

"If you don't like it, I will plan it all again. Just don't cry, Princess." He got more worried.

I chuckled in between the tears escaping my eyes. I pulled him in a hug as I wrapped my arms around his torso.

His hands cupped my waist and pulled me closer.

"Idiot, I'm not crying. I was just too much happy!" I snuggled in his neck.

He kept his chin on my head as he spoke, "Pakka na?"

(Sure?)

I nodded.

"I was about to get a heartattack, Aridhi." He took a long breath.

There is something about the way he calls me by my name.

Or maybe because I'm too habitual to his nicknames for me.

I pulled back and took the rose from his hand.

With all the admiration in my eyes, I stared at it.

All the thorns were already cut off.

I looked at Ruvit and he gave me his beautiful smile.

"You know I grew it in our house garden, exclusively for you. I took care of it whole heartedly and then cut off all the thrones." He asserted.

The efforts this man does for me have my whole heart.

He hates gardening because of all the dirt and sand we get afterwards. But still he grew my favourite flower by himself.

I tugged on his shirt — don't know when he got rid off his coat.

As if he understood what I wanted to do, his leaned to my level.

I supported my hand on his shoulder and pressed my lips on his cheek.

He turned his head right away, making our lips collide instead.

He took my lips aggressively, making me gasp for the air.

But he took it as an opportunity to insert his tongue in my mouth.

I patted on his shoulder to let go.

The waiter suddenly arrived with our orders.

Ruvit sat straight on his chair after sucking and nibbling on my lips.

"Can we have a photo of you? It's our restaurant's culture." The waiter asked politely after adorning the table with different dishes.

Instead of answering him, Ruvit stared at me. Does he want me to answer him?

"Yeah sure." I replied back.

The waiter picked out a camera and stood infront of us while holding it in the required way.

I was already smiling at the camera but someone beside me wasn't.

I mean he was smiling but not at the camera.

Without turning my face at Ruvit, I gently gave a pat on his cheek.

"Look at the camera, not me." I whispered to him.

He shifted closer before speaking in a husky tone, "You are too beautiful to be looked away."

My cheeks are tinted with a red hue under his intense gaze.

I heard the click sound when the waiter smiled at us and mouthed a thank you and left for his work.

"Wae are you so cheesy?" I asked, moving my head in his direction.

"I'm just stating facts, Darling." He leaned his hand, holding a fork of pasta, to my mouth.

I ate the pasta he offered before speaking, "Then can I ask you a question?"

"No." He denied, without missing a beat.

I frowned and he just feed himself the pasta from the same fork.

He looked at me, offering me a bite of pav bhaji this time.

"You can ask me anything, my dear lady boss. You don't need to ask this servant." He chuckled and I agreed to take a bite from his hand.

"Had you still care for me if I was a worm?" I asked the universal question every gf asks from her bf.

Just replaced love with care.

He didn't react something and just fed me another bite.

"I thought I was already taking care of a worm for so many years." He finally spoke, more like taunted.

"You-" I gave a light slap on his shoulder.

I was chewing another piece of pav bhaji provided by him when suddenly it stuck in my throat, leading me to cough.

I covered my mouth with my hand and tried to engulf the piece of food.

I felt Ruvit's one hand behind my back, caressing the area while his other hand came in front of my mouth.

My eyes went to his softened orbs.

"C'mon, don't hurt yourself. You can spit on my hand." He coed.

When I didn't respond something, he gave me a glass of water.

The food stuck in my throat went down the stomach long ago due to his green flag behaviour.

Haha..Weird right?

I took the glass from his hand and gulped it in one go.

"Slow down." His voice beside me reached my ears.

The rest of our dinner went in a comfortable silence with his minimal cheesy lines and jokes.

And the best part is that Ruvit was holding my hand in his for the whole time.

?

When I thought we were finally heading to our homes, I realised Ruvit taking a different road.

"There is more?" I shouted due to the hard roaring of the bike.

"Uh-huh. Until the night ends, there is very much more baby." I smiled to myself hearing his response.

Because now I don't want this night to end ever.

But I know that is not possible so I decided to enjoy the current time.

I hugged him more tightly while resting my head on his back shoulder.

I let myself fall for him a little more. Because I know he would always be there to make me stand again.

Hell, he won't let me fall even at the first place. And my heart says, he will fall for me rather.
