Story: Liberate Us
“I don’t like the way you look at her,” I told him, steppingclose to him until we were toe to toe and nose to nose.
“You going to kiss me, Sammy?” he bit out through clenchedteeth.
As soon as the door to the office opened, I knew. “Amber, getover here,” I demanded, knowing that we were no longer alone.
“Your president isn’t going to like this,” Tiny told me.
“Yeah, you see, that’s where you’re wrong.” When I felt Ambercome up beside me, I continued. “I’ll tell him everything that happened here.Amber was trying to be polite, come see some old friends and also ask for yourhelp when it came to this Will fucker. Clearly, none of you like him either, sowhy wouldn’t you just offer to help her like she asked?”
“It’s none of our business,” Tiny said, his eyes flicking overmy head.
“Look at me.” I moved my head in his line of sight. “Not them.”
His dark eyes met mine once again. “What do you want?”
“I want you to help Amber. I want you to find out what Willwants. Exactly what he wants. None of this assumption bullshit. I also want youto continue keeping her mother safe. I don’t give a shit who you know. I knowpeople too. If there’s a single hair out of place on Amber’s mother’s head, Iwill make it a personal mission to gut you where you sleep. You’ll bleed out asyou watch me kill your family and every single person you care about.”
“No harm will ever come to Amber’s mother,” Tiny grit out. “Butif you don’t get your hands off of me, I will head to your little clubhouse.”
“Do it.” I chuckled. “I dare you. Greyson may be retired buthe’s still nasty as fuck. I also know for a fact that you met his son.Greyson’s a pussycat compared to Jaron.” I patted Tiny’s cheek. “It was goodseeing you again, Tiny.”
I turned, ignored the stares of the guys surrounding Amber, andwent up to her. Before she knew what I was doing, hell...before I even knewwhat I was doing, I crushed my mouth to hers and kissed her in front of herlate husband’s crew.
Again.
Amber
I didn’t take Sammy’skisses for granted, so when hekissed me in front of the crew my late husband belonged to, it made me fall forhim even more. The fact that he didn’t care and was willing to let anyone andeveryone know how he felt, even without saying the words, meant something to meI would forever be thankful for.
Whatever it was that we were doing, didn’t have a label on it,but I knew that he was the only one I wanted to do it with.
Sammy slipped his tongue between my lips, pulling a moan fromthe back of my throat. He circled an arm around me, cupped my ass, and pulledme even closer toward him.
Before the kiss could turn into more, he nipped my bottom lip, lifted his head, and gave me a wink.
“That was uncalled for,” Tiny growled from his spot behind thedesk.
“You know you would have done the same thing,” was all Sammysaid back.
I shook myself, not liking all of the eyes suddenly on me.“Let’s go.” I grabbed Sammy’s hand, leading him out of the office and to theback of the club. “You know he’s right,” I said, once we were finally outside. We walked around the building to where my car was sitting at the front.
“Don’t care, babe. I don’t like how these fuckers think youstill belong to Aaron. The bastard is dead and gone and...”
“What?” I asked when Sammy’s voice trailed off.
“Forget it.”
“No.” I stopped, spinning on him. “You’ve never not said exactlywhat’s on your mind before, so tell me, Sammy. What were you going to say?”
Sammy’s brows narrowed. “He still has control over you.”
I flinched, looking away.
Sammy started walking, keeping me at his side until we reachedmy car.
“Where are you staying?” I asked, pulling my keys from my bag.
“A hotel downtown.” He slipped into the passenger seat as Iopened the driver’s side door.
“You going to kiss me, Sammy?” he bit out through clenchedteeth.
