Story: Liberate Us
Sammyshifted to the right but wasn’t quick enough when Will caught me sitting there.
Hechuckled. “Moving fast, aren’t we, Red?”
I glared athim. “Aaron has been dead for four years.” And a piece of my soul died alongwith him.
“I wasn’ttalking about him,” Will said, staring at me.
My stomachclenched. I looked away, needing Sammy to take me away from here.
“Well, it’sbeen a slice. We have to go.” Sammy turned and helped me off the bike. Hehanded me a helmet and did it up for me, but wouldn’t look at me.
I swallowedhard, knowing I would have to explain who exactly Will was to me besides beingmy late husband’s brother.
“I’ll seeyou later…” He winked. “Princess.”
“Don’t callme that,” I snapped. “I am not your Princess.”
“You are,”he growled. “You will always beourPrincess.”
A darkshadow came up behind me, looming over my head.
“You gotthis, Red?” Sammy asked, placing a hand on my hip.
Will caughtthe movement, a slow grin spreading on his face. “Just wait until you tellSammy how many guys you’ve actually been with. He won’t want your dirty pussyafter that.”
A harshscream left me as I charged for him. Arms suddenly wrapped around my middle, stopping me from going after the fucker.
Willchuckled, walking away and heading into the club.
I struggledagainst Sammy. “To answer your question, yes I had it.” I stomped away from himand took off the helmet.
“Red.” Hetook a step toward me.
I lifted myhand. “I need a moment.”
He stayedback, keeping his distance but leaving his eyes on me.
I took abreath and then another. “I haven’t been with as many guys as Will implied. ButI’ve been with enough. I went through a few of the men in his crew after Aarondied because I was hurting. I was also mad at myself that I never got out ofthat marriage ahead of time. I feel...I just...” Before I could finish, Sam hadme in his arms.
Withouteven saying anything, he guided me back to his bike and took the helmet fromme. He placed it back on my head, did it up, and straddled the beautifulmachine before slipping his own helmet on. When the engine rumbled to life, helooked at me over his shoulder.
I took thehint, cupped his shoulder, and swung my leg over the seat behind him. When Iwas safe and secure, I wrapped my arms around his hard middle.
He cuppedmy hands, gave them a squeeze, and drove us out of the parking lot.
I wasn’tsure where we were going but I found that I didn’t overly care. We could goback to my place. His place. Out of town. It didn’t matter.
When I sawWill originally, Sammy distracted me from him, but now seeing him againconjured up other memories I didn’t like.
As theworld whipped past us, I saw the sign to our town, wishing us a good day. Ididn’t know where we were going but I did know that I wanted to go with Sammy.
Wherever itmay be.

I didn’t know her story.Maybe one day she would tell me, but I knew that Will was bad for her. Whateverhistory they had; it was clearly only one-sided on his part. But it didn’tmatter. Her past didn’t matter. Not to me. I had enough when it came to thiswoman and how she unraveled me. I wanted her. All of her. Every inch. Hersubmission. Her sass. The fierce and passionate sides to her. I wanted to showher that the dark side of sex could be beautiful and perfect if it was with theright person. I wanted her at my feet but most of all, I just wanted her.
