Story: Ill Will

“Come on, darling. Let’s go to bed.” He grabbed my hand and led me upstairs.
A bubble of nervousness hit me as I thought about sleeping in the same bed as him again, but exhaustion weighed me down. I’d narrowly avoided a headache tonight, but I knew I’d need sleep if I wanted to keep my good luck.
“I could sleep on the floor,” I offered.
He turned to me with a flat expression. “You know we’re not doing that. This isn’t all that smaller than the bed on the honeymoon.”
And yet, in a bed like that, I’d jumped his bones the second I felt his erection. I knew myself. I would do it again if given the chance.
I was doing good at not thinking about the incident with Levi except when I was in bed alone. But now I wasn’t in bed alone. And he would be here with me.
“Once again, are you sure about this?” I asked.
“I’m very sure about this,” he said. “We can be adults.”
“Because that went so well for us last time.”
“It went very well.”
“You’re only saying that because you got a blowjob.”
“I believe you also benefitted from that.”
My cheeks heated. I had, and it was something I couldn’t manage to replicate on my own.
Damn him.
“We’re sleeping,” I said. “Just sleeping.”
“Okay.”
“No funny business.”
“Understood.”
I went to my dresser, only to pause. I didn’t have much in the way of night clothes. Usually, I slept in my underwear or in nothing at all.
What I did have was ... skimpy.
It had been a bit since I’d done my laundry, and all the shirts I could manage to sleep in were dirty. That left me with a thin, pink nightgown.
Not my best choice.
I grabbed it anyway and ran for the bathroom. When I put it on, I groaned. My nipples were visible again.
“So,” I said, crossing my arms as I walked back into the bedroom. “We have the same problem as the first night you stayed here.”
Levi’s eyes slid to me and landed on my chest. Thankfully, most of it was covered.
“Is it a problem?”
“Shut up,” I said, red in the face. I climbed under the fuzzy blanket to hide from him. “You’re not gonna look.”
“Too late.”
“I hate you.”
“Do you really?” he asked, but this time, his eyes were on mine.
