Truth is, I like kissing him.
He grows hard against me on the dance floor. Patsy’s song is coming to a close but I want to linger here longer with his arms around me and his mouth against my own. We break the kiss and our foreheads touch.
“I’ll never let anyone else hurt you, Kitten,” he says.
And I believe him.
His voice and that promise ease a shiver of excitement down my spine and my panties get wet.
Power.
Protection.
Promise.
Remembering there’s a motel across the street, I tell him lets go and get a room for the night. We can finish the trip tomorrow.
Tonight, I want him inside of me again.
And again.
And again.
CHAPTER20
Niki
Igot us checked in to the seedy motel next near the bar. My fingers fumble with the keys and I hear Sage giggling behind me as I try to get the door open.
Finally, the locks tumble away and we get inside, flipping on the lights. There’s a single bed, and it smells old.
Some wedding night.
Sage giggles behind me again and I turn to take her in. Her usually straight hair has turned into nothing but a mystery of tight coils, ringlets that had to hold secrets. I close the door behind us and lock us into the room.
“Nervous?”
My wife’s voice comes from behind me, and I turn to meet her gaze. She bites her lip and I’m instantly hard.
I move to her and my fingers dig into the back of her neck. The kiss is ferocious and demanding. Outside, the wind has picked up and the rain is pelting against the window creating a melody just for us to dance to.
Soon we’re a fury of limbs and clothes flying all across the place.
“Fuck,” Sage murmurs, our mouths colliding with each other.
“Not yet,” my voice hints at the pleasure I want to bring her.
When she’s back on the bed, naked and splayed before me, my eyes drink her in.
“I knew it was wrong,” I told her.
“What?”
“All of it,” I admit. “From the moment I met you, Sage. I wanted you. I wanted this. I would have done anything to make it happen.”
She lazily sits up on her arms.
“You could have killed him, ya know?” Seriousness rings through her voice and I know she wishes I had.
