Page 19 of We The Depraved
Only Damien is quiet. From the rearview mirror I can’t tell if he’s on social media. He runs the advertising and marketing department at Safaryan Industries. He is the quietest out of all of us.
“Nikiiii,” Artur whines. “I need a round ass grinding on my dick, immediately.”
I shoot him a look. “You are not to fuck any of these women, Artur.”
He frowns and then gets out of the car. “I need a fucking cigarette.”
“If we’re not going to fuck them then what is the point of you buying this place?” Erik asks as the passenger door closes. Artur leans against the car. He will reek of cigarettes when he gets back in. Tomorrow, I will have to have my car detailed.
“That is my business,” I tell him and nothing more.
Damien speaks up then. “It’s that woman.”
“What woman?” Erik asks.
“The Judge’s daughter.” Is Damien’s response.
“The one that owed you a quarter million?”
I don’t answer but I hear Damien whisper, “Bingo.”
Letting out a slow breath, I ignore them. The Crescent has drawn an impressive crowd and men are beginning to go through the door. I wonder if when my Kitten danced, had some of these very men touch her writhing body as she danced for them.
Thoughts like those will drive me insane if I let them. My head leans against the leather head rest and my brothers mumble amongst themselves. I’m not sure why I haven’t gone into the club yet. My fingers reach out to start the car whenshestumbles out.
My kitten, I think as a smirk slides into place on my face.
I track her movements, she gives a pause to look at the line and then goes to the opposite side of the building. She remains in view and rests against the building. Sage is dressed in a short black dress and the cowboy boots I saw her in earlier.
Visions of fucking her with those boots on drift into my mind.
The thought goes away as quickly as it came when a young guy pops out of the line and makes a beeline for the side of the building where Sage is leaning drunkenly.
I’m alarmed but I don’t alert my brothers.
Yes, we are Bratva.
But we’re also fucking billionaires and there is no room for stupid mistakes.
I relax slightly when I see the man pull out what appears to be a joint. From my vantage point, I can see the smoke curling into the air. They talk for a few moments and then I see I should have went with my first instincts. He targeted her the minute he saw her go around the side of the building.
The man has swung his body in front of her and his hands are around her neck.
“Goddamn it,” I hiss.
The moment my brothers hear me they snap to attention.
“What?” Damien asks.
“Trouble,” I say.
I don’t question if they follow, I know that they will.
Before you can sneeze, I’m across the street, nearly getting hit by a car. My brothers are behind me and I pull the gun I had tucked in my waist band out. The stupid motherfucker that’s choking her has no clue I’m here.
He thinks he’s safe.
He’s already begun to drag her lifeless body down the ally.
