Page 153 of Vows of a Mobster
She shifted to face me, left in only her lacy white thong. Her body was toned, a body sculpted from years of dancing. My hand trailed down her neck, between her breast and down her flat stomach, that sheltered our baby.
“You are everything to me.” The confession came effortlessly. Love and loyalty were priceless in my world. Brianna Agosti was priceless to me; a lifeline that would always make my world lighter and brighter. She was my life.
Her body shivered in response to my touch and my fingers trailed further down. I pressed my thumb to her clit.
“Mateo,” her voice was a low whisper, begging. I smiled darkly and dipped my thumb into her soaking wet pussy. She pushed herself into my touch. I swiped my finger over her clit again, circling it faster, her hips pressing against me. Her hands came to my shoulders, her fingers gripping my white shirt. We were a contrast, her naked with a thong on while I was still fully dressed. Her pleasure was my priority.
“Let yourself go,” I demanded. “I got you.”
My thumb kept circling her sensitive spot, and I slid a finger into her, pumping her. Her hips moved in the rhythm, chasing her pleasure. Her moans filled the cabin, and it was the sweetest music to my ears.
She unravelled in my arms, her body shaking with the orgasm and my name on her soft lips. I was hers.
I picked her up and laid her down onto the bed, her body molding into mine.
“Mateo,” her voice was raspy, her gaze watching me under heavy eyelids. “I don’t want to sleep.” Her small hands roamed hungrily down my body.
“Who says we’ll be sleeping?” I chuckled. Her hands eagerly unzipped my pants, my hard cock pushed forward, hungry for her touch.
Would I ever tire of her? Of that, there was no doubt in my mind. I wouldn’t.

My wife was sprawled out on top of me, my hands on her ass. Her face nuzzled against my neck, she inhaled deeply.
“I love your smell,” she murmured against my skin. “It reminds me of sandalwood and oceans. It’s addictive. I will think of you every time I smell the ocean.”
Her hair was sweaty on her forehead and I gently swept it off her eyes.
“You won’t have to think of me because I plan to be with you.” It was my stake in the ground. I would always be here with her, till my dying breath. “And I love your smell.” Her smell was forever ingrained into me. “Mixture of lemon and lime.”
Her little nose scrunched up. “That is not a good smell.”
“It’s the best,” I told her. She raised her head and narrowed her eyes on me, like she was debating whether to believe me. Whatever she saw on my face had her suspicion turn into a smile.
“I guess if you say so,” she finally replied, nestling her cheek against my shoulder.
“When did you figure out you were pregnant?” I asked her.
“Yesterday. I bought a test. I probably shouldn’t have said anything about it,” she murmured softly, pressing a fleeting kiss onto my skin. Her fingers trailed over my chest, as if she was trying to memorize every inch of me. “It is too early.”
“I want you to tell me everything.” I wanted honesty and trust in our marriage. I knew it might be hard for my wife, but eventually we’d get there. “I can’t protect you if you hold back. I’ll keep you and our children safe.” It was the vow I took seriously and intended to keep.
Her eyes met mine, hesitancy in her gaze. She regarded me with hope and I held my breath. Would she tell me about Emma’s father? About what happened two years ago? She opened her mouth, but in the same second, I sensed her shutting down, her walls building up.
“Thank you, Mateo.” Fuck, her distrust felt like a knife in my heart. She gave her body to me freely but she kept her heart and trust tightly locked up.
Silence lingered in the room and there were so many unspoken words between us. Did she feel it too? Her head laid back onto my chest and my fingers tangled her silky dark hair.
“We should probably not say anything about the pregnancy to others, till I’m about three months.” Her sleepy voice broke the silence. “Just in case.”
“Okay.” I rubbed her back. Whenever she was in my arms, a sense of peace overwhelmed me. Having her as my wife only increased that feeling.
I sensed the moment Brianna drifted off to sleep. Her warm body was safe in my arms, her smell enveloping me. I lay awake, staring in the dark. It was now more important than ever that I eliminated all the threats towards my young wife. Starting with her mother.
During the reception Antonio had received information on Brianna’s mother and the most likely motive. I still couldn’t get over the shock. But then, it was money that ruled the world, ruled us all. The root of all evil that we couldn’t go without.
Brianna was the heiress to all her stepfather’s assets to be rolled over into her name on her twenty-sixth birthday. All the information pointed to the fact that my young wife wasn’t aware she was a millionaire. She was an heiress to over fifty million dollars in assets, properties, and stocks. Her mother would lose control over her daughter’s inheritance at her next birthday. In the event of Brianna’s death, or any of her descendants, it would all revert back to her mother. It was the reason she wanted Emma dead too.
